just so you know, i love and adore oda's colorspread, so i aspire to be able to make colorspread just like him. however, i realize that i horribly suck at coloring. so i stick with b/w spreads.

sometimes i'd shade with pencil, sometimes i'd leave it b/w. and since everyone now has their own thread with their fanarts, i figured it's about time i make one too.

NOTe: i will only put my greyspreads here. all other fanarts are in my website (thanks ocean for hosting): http://e1n.kefi.org.

Oh great, you don't mind people colouring your art. I was gonna ask you. I my artistic self has been itching to do some art, but I'm too busy to sit down and take the time to draw. However, coloring is something relaxing, that I can pick up and do anytime. We'll see if I get around to it.

blind countour drawings are good practice. If you had good control with your toes though, you could draw as well. The difference between people who can and can't draw, is how well they can observe what they are drawing. That's why artists study muscle and bone structures, and why they draw so many nude models. A good artist will spend more time observing what he is drawing, rather than staring at the paper.

Even for people with no natural tallent for drawing, if you sit them down and tell them to draw their hand, all the little crevises and bumps, and take at least half an hour to do it, they can draw a pretty good hand.

I took an art fundamentals course in college. wasn't quite skillful enough to get into illustration though. Still, I think I'm pretty good.

illustration has a lot of creativity and originality involved, especially for children artbook. check out zen shorts by jon huth or muth or something like that. i love the illustration on that one.

i love it so much i gave away the book to someone <_<
now i have to buy another one. definitely gonna read that book to my kids for a bedtime story when i have kids.

I love your drawings e1n. You still keep your own unique style, while still keeping them very Oda. I absolutely love the way you draw Robin and Nami, and your Kaku giraffe is damn near perfect.

aw, e1n, your simple colouring has a nice graphic apeal. I like it. Something like this doesn't have need to have realistic coloring or anything.
(heh, don't you love how I switch between the CN and US spellings of color/colour. haha)

well, ok, i rephrase that. online doodle meaning i use tablet and photoshop, not those oekaki program since they NEVER work for me <_<
