1. He's drunk off his arse. 2. It's One Piece, characters all have silly quirks. It's part of the charm. Fully serious characters are just dull and boring personality wise. 3. The punch will likey just bounce off next chapter.

To be honest I was kinda meh with Kaido when he was introduced simply as a super buff destructive ruthless creature, but these latest chapters really make him a lot more interesting to me.

Worst case he's thrown off for a second or two. It's also possible booze really fucks with his strength, hence him usually hiding away when he gets wasted. I doubt it and assume he was just caught off guard while inebriated. Also, even in real life, people hit harder when they're angry, and this has been shown many times with Luffy

Totally agree. too many amazing angle. Oda really out did himself to show us how big and menacing Kaido's dragon form in this chapter. Seeing him flying above the people and the town from the perspective of the townspeople down below etc..
And the ruthless Jack look like a monk compare to his ridiculous drunken boss is hilarious .

Nice. Luffy taking an opportunity to strike Kaidou. When there will come such chance to defeat him again? No subordinates around, just drunk Kaidou alone. Except Luffy's not quite there yet to be able to defeat him.

Art is really fantastic in showcasing how puny Wano looks compared to Kaido.
I also like that his sudden appearance from last chapter was due to him just being hammered.

Otherwise the chapter was really cool. In the spoiler thread some people didn't like the fact that Kaidou is drunk but for me, it doesn't make him weak since he is crazy strong but more unpredictable even for his allies so I'm ok with it.

his strength does not fucked up at all since he can generate powerfull breath to destroy the castle

I don't like fight with giant monsters. They are a gigantic targets and offer much in terms of interesting choreography. They are the most moring kind.
Wano still feel desolated to me. I suppose kinemon is going to meet Shuten.
I wonder where we go from Kaido getting punched. It seems like he wanted to kill Luffy and Law if the "fire" breath any indication. And he likes rampaging while drunk? Maybe Law teleports them at the right moment.

I like this chapter a lot better than the previous one.
The pacing and flow is much better.
Drunk kaido is pretty much like Big Mom whenever she goes on her hunger craze. I kinda feel sorry for their crews whenever they have to deal with their boss going on a rampage. lol
Hawkin really hit the nail on the head with the location of strawhats crew.
It would be really cool seeing dragon Kaido animated. -
So maybe the reason Kaidou was defeated and captured all those times was because he was drunk

Honestly, I feel sorry for people who found out he was drunk due to spoilers.
Because that panel with him revealing his drunkness was funniest thing I've seen in a while in OP, and I actually laughed out loud. And again at that face when he got rabbit punched in the head. Can't remember when was the last time I enjoyed a chapter like this. The art was great. I especially loved that Nami panel, before castle was destroyed. Recently I started drawing again after a long time, and stuff like that really hits a chord in me.

Of course, the castle destruction was beautifully drawn as well.
So how in hell could they have survived that? Law pirates maybe have another devil fruit user?

The only reason he drunkenly stumbled here to begin with is because he knows Luffy and Law have infiltrated Wano. While the potential for destruction is there, it doesn't seem to be a regular thing, much less on the level of Big Mom's tantrums.

You just can't compare reading a summary to seeing a beautifully drawn image and text working together. Of course, there are different ways in which one can see the spoilers. If you can read signs and got spoiled with raw images, I guess you won't lose much of the experience. But still, the chapters are meant to have a flow.

I think you might be mistaken, I think he took the punch not like a punch but because it had no effect on him. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he just flew off unphased that he was even hit. For one he is drunk and you feel less pain when drunk, two he is a yonko, it was probably the equivalent to a nat buzzing around us.

so his henchmen chain up Luffy to use later as bait in a trap for Law, maybe?That's fanfic, but Oda will find some way to separate Luffy from the gang.

If he really is immortal to some degree i understand why he is soo carefree and doesn't mind ambushes & unexpected events considering what he's been through up until now.
On the other hand, Luffy probably doesn't know what' coming for him. Probably Kaidou de dazed for 2 seconds, Luffy will be falling and he will be just in front of his eyes when Kaidou recovers and sees him - gets absolutely mad and K.O's him. Time for the others to show they have a right to claim their positions in a Yonkou crew and have to pack a punch for the upcoming events.
