He contributed to Veterans, not Trump. Its just an event Trump is hosting.
In protest to Fox moderators being mean to him.

All that veterans money isn't going to the veterans, it's going directly to Trump: http://thefederalist.com/2016/01/28/trumps-new-pro-veterans-website-directs-all-donations-to-trumps-personal-foundation/

Is this common knowledge and if so, was it common knowledge when the donation occured?
It's not Marvel's CEO's fault if he thought he was donating to Veterans and Trump just kept the money.
-
Let's not pretend the only way to help veterans is through Donald Trump charity events. Perlmutter knew perfectly well what he was doing.
-
Also remember something here. Ike Perlmutter's power has diminished at Marvel. It was a big deal last year when Kevin Feige staged a coup about Perlmutter and ended up causing Marvel Studios to operate as a separate entity within Disney. Remember, Feige now reports directly to Alan Horn of Disney rather than Perlmutter. ALL of Perlmutter's control is on the comics side now.
Apparently, Perlmutter is a conservative. He at one point backed Marco Rubio and donated a large ammount to his compaign. That's a bit sad I guess… Well, if in the next couple of months, Marvel decides to end Ms. Marvel with an issue where Kamila is shipped off to a camp, we know why.....
-
Bump for news.
Civil War is being screened for test audiences and they are apparently loving it.
It's being compared favorably to The Winter Soldier for the kinds of responses the Studio is getting from the test audiences. -
hype levels rising. It's so far away though :(
-
Don't worry, we've got Deadpool to hold us until it gets here.

Just remember to check yourself after a shower.

Somehow I don't think that Satsuki needs to worry about that.

I know it's a joke but just your general PSA from your hermit here that self exams aren't recommended anymore by most reputable sources and organizations. Same with testicular self examination. Neither have any evidence of benefits and actually tend to lead to more harm due to an increase in invasive testing.
just saying for those of you who were curious -
So, new wave of Action figures coming out to coincide with Civil War and…. Black Widow figures are finally going to exist!!
Huzzah!

Probably because Rey stole her spotlight as "female Disney action hero without figurines."

Terrible looking as some may be.
-
I want to squeeze out a tear of joy and make a campaign of people buying her figure just so the industry knows that YES we want her! But… she's ugly and nope, not gonna get my money.
-

That "scandal" such as it is, is amazingly overblown. If you actualyl compare merchandising, she's on like 30 products compared to Kylo Ren's or Finn's 31. She didn't make it to one boxed set or Monopoly (Who are fixing that in the next run)… and that's largely because Disney hid the fact that she was the force user character in the film to keep it a surprise, so six months ago they downplayed her a ton to licensors and seemed like she was going to be a minor-ish character. The wave 2 stuff hitting now where shes allowed to have a lightsaber she's all over the place in.
On top of that, her figures keep selling while Ren and Finn on the shelf. So just because you don't see them doesn't mean they weren't there.
Yes, female character figures like Widow or Gamora have been screwed historically on merchanside, and it is often a problem, but its really, REALLY not actually the case with Rey, regardless of the controversy the Mary Sue wants to manufacture.,

not official but still funny

Hey man, I'm just here to make jokes. Don't go messing up my fun with your "facts" and your "reality."
I imagine there's also a bit of a gap in merchandising products. Even if Rey is on just as many items, a lot of those items are probably more geared towards traditional girls' stuff rather than things more associated with boys. Nice to see that changing either way.
-
The appearance of Black Widow merch might have something to do with the Ike Perlmutter shutout. He was the one who wouldn't allow Widow and Gamora merch.

To add to that, Disney and LucasArts made a fuckton of Rey merch, it's that retailers refused to buy it and as a result quickly sold out what little they had. Which made it LOOK like there wasn't any Rey merch. Blame needs to be assigned to the rightparties.
Not surprised by The Mary Sue not doing their research though.

100% so far and the actual content of the reviews are glowing, not a single one of them seems to be like "This movie was ok enough to be fresh, but the reviewer still had massive problems with it" kinda reviews….
Everyone on the Hype train!!
No wait, not that one…
THERE we go!
-
25 reviews and still at 100%? Nice.
-
Screencrush has a negative review: http://screencrush.com/deadpool-review/

Sometimes it's fun to be a little immature and laugh at dirty jokes. This is the type of movie that you go see in theaters with a packed crowd of adults who will laugh their asses off at a dick joke Really, it's all about delivery. Fun times for all.

Oop! Here come the hashtags!
And hey, Antman! First look!

Iron Man's team looks so weird. Black Widow is looking around like, "What the fuck? I'm the only one without super armor?"
-
Team Cap
-
Who is honestly going to cheer Captain America's team when the movie comes around, and Iron Man has both Black Panther and is going to have Spider-man on his team? lol
-
My best friend and I are going to the Deadpool 7pm first showing this week in Costume!
I'm gonna be Lady Deadpool and she's gonna be Negasonic Teenage Warhead!!!!
So hyped, this'll be SO fun!!

Okay, I'm not reading any more Deadpool reviews. I'm not spoiling myself for any more jokes.

I'm like 50% sure Black Widow is going to betray her team in some way.

New Civil War trailer didn't impress that much. The one weird thing is that it made Bucky seem a lot more villainous.
Apocalypse shows off Psylocke slightly. That's all that's important.
Deadpool trailer doesn't add much since it already looks great.
-

Tony's gotta have a fair reason to believe Bucky is worth capturing/taking down, even taking into account the fact that he's likely the one that killed his parents. Also, the promo material seem to want the fans to choose a side, and showing Bucky doing questionable stuff puts Tony and his side in a more reasonable light.

It annoys me that Disney's doing another Choose Your Side promo thing right after that Light Side/Dark Side nonsense. They don't NEED to add eleven hashtags and commercialize the crap out of Team Edward and Team Jacob because each character is plenty popular in their own right. Just make extra merchandise for both sides and people will buy them; they don't need to try and stir up fake drama fanboys already fight over it anyway. And we all know Cap's side is going to win because it's a CAPTAIN AMERICA movie.
It just all feels so horribly disingenuous.
-
You know Marvel has been exploiting the Choose Your Side thing since years before Disney bought them right?

Um in the comic books…
! Didn't Captain America die at the end of Civil War?
And marketing to hype up a film aside (which I can see your side on that, even though marketing like that seems to work), even if this meant to be a Captain America film, wouldn't it be a good thing to showcase why your former ally and person who has been seen as a hero on screen for about a decade by now is going to become or choose to side with the antagonist in the promo material?

! That's why I said his side won, not him specifically.

Fair, but Iron Man is probably still the most popular Avenger and he'll have supporters either way. The depiction of Bucky just seemed different than previous trailers and that caught my eye.
-
There's the chance that maybe it's exactly as it appears on the tin.
! There could be plenty of reasons, leftover brainwashing/conditioning, a doppelgänger, who knows. But given the vagueness of the plot, there's a fair chance that Cap is making a mistake and his harboring the fugitive/guilty party. Avengers 2 showed that the hero can make errors as long as they clean up their own mess afterwards. And it's kinda be fitting given the promo trailer of Tony wanting to kick in Steve's perfect teeth that maybe Steve is acting imperfectly in the film and not making the right calls in regards to Bucky, or at least he's not 100% right about Bucky's state of mind/innocence. I'm curious to see how the film plays out the conflict.

! just that Twitter showed that Cap got more votes -
I think there's a lot of "Choose your side" marketing because it makes for an easy
You want people to talk about your movie and getting people to choose sides and argue about it on the internet isn't difficult.
