One Piece Vivre Card Binder 2 cover illustration from Shonen Jump!!!
https://images2.imgbox.com/21/e3/JefI7eXj_o.jpg
And remember, Starter Set Vol. 2 will have these cards.
- Going Merry.
- Thousand Sunny.
- Brogy.
- Dorry.
- Tsuru.
- Sengoku.
- Kuzan (Aokiji).
- Rob Rucci (CP0).
- Monkey D. Garp.
- Saint Sharuria.
- Saint Rosward.
- Saint Charlos.
- Sabo (adult).
- Issho (Fujitora).
- Stussy.
- Gomu Gomu no Mi Skill Vol. 02.
I like the first cover more but it one is still quite nice. Lucci showing up here is interesting; will he get a second card with the CP9 pack then? And did the magazine ad have to be such a goddamn tease about Sunny's number?
-
Damn, Oda, just include Belo Betty in those! I need to know her colors.
Anyways, we can't see Sunny number there, but it got a regular character profile and a red Strawhat background, so I think is safe to expect it and Merry to be #11 and #12.
I mean, the card list on the announcement have the characters listed based on their number order, and both Merry and Sunny are at the top even though Sunny should come after many of those characters if it was getting a "introduction-based number". I'm just not 100% about they being #11 and #12 because they could pull a General Franky and share Luffy/Usopp/Franky number rather than getting their own (possible, but unlikely).Kuzan's profile will probably make clear where he stands regarding the Blackbeard Pirates (just an ally or one of them). Looking up for this one.
And this binder is the first time we can see Drake allosaurus form.

The Amazon description for the CP9 pack says he's in it along with the other members. It seems kind of odd that he is the second non-Straw Hat character to get two cards, considering he hasn't done much in part II… yet. I wondering if it will confirm that he is a Haki user like in the Gold movie.
Also the cover seems to confirm that Wanze will be getting a card, possibly in one of the Water 7 packs. I get the feeling that Jerry (the CP6 agent who fought Sanji) will likely be an EX character since his only major appearance was in one chapter where he was beaten by Sanji without taking any damage.

Hopefully they will name fujitora's DF in this set

Enel was listed for both Skypiea packs, so I'm not taking those early Amazon summaries as a guarantee.
I don't think the cover listings necessarily confirm anything either. There's a Kung Fu Dugong on the front of the pack, and if they were getting a standalone card they probably would have in the Alabasta pack. That said, I think it's pretty likely Wanze will get a card. He was onscreen for a while. Jerry, yeah, probably not. Mainly, I think because he doesn't have the screen time to fill a card of his own. He was funny, sure, but pretty one-note. Looking back, I'm surprised Hammond didn't show up in the Fishman Pirates pack. Not that I'm super attached to the character or anything, it just seems odd that he's the only major member of the crew not to stand alone.

I predict that Thousand Sunny will be number 325 (Sunny-go=San-Ni-Go) and Going Merry will be Merry's number, 065. What do you think about this?
With this Oda could keep the mystery of 011 and 012 for a longer time. -

With this Oda could keep the mystery of 011 and 012 for a longer time.Everything else has been order of appearance with Strawhats at the front. Don't see why it would be changed just for the ships. Plus it would be weird for 065 to have two totally different entities and one of them be an EX character.

While Amazon did drop the ball on the February packs, they have been correct with the others. Also the ad has (CP0 Ver.) next to Lucci's name which seems to indicate that he'll have a card that covers his exploits during the Water 7 saga (and the cover story). I really hope though that T-Bone gets a card when they get around to the Water 7 packs. He did appear in more chapters than Jerry (within the Water 7 saga) and was even a mini-figure alongside other Enies Lobby characters, but like Jerry was beaten rather quickly. Granted Zoro did comment that T-Bone was a strong opponent, despite how quickly their battle ended.

I'm hoping we're being thrown for a loop and the BB pairings are gonna be Zoro vs Burgess and Sanji vs Shiryuu.
.THIS!!!!
Also does Van Auger confirm or unconfirm that the ten captains are numbered based off power levels???
Odas made it all but certain that Usopp is by far the weakest Straw hat, so that would mean that BB's sniper should be number 10 if he's going to be facing off against Usopp
on the other hand though, Usopp's father has been portrayed as one of the top 3 of Shanks crew (only him, Ben Beckmen and Lucky Roo have been given real time to shine or you know… have been named lol) So Van Auger taking him out would make sense with him being number 3 in BB's crew
also it would mean Usopps final fight fight would be an even bigger deal,
not only would he be fighting to avenge his father's death but wouldn't be fighting the weakest of the BB crew
he'd be going against someone a million times more powerful then him, think of the other top three Yonko commanders the three Calamities(Kaidou), the Sweet Commanders(Big Mom), Marco Ace and Jozu (white Beard) etc. Even Luffy has Zoro sanji and Jinbei, so it would be a huge step up for Usopp to go against him, and would truly help him accomplish his dream of becoming a True Warrior of the Sea taking out Black Beards third in command

How strong Van Augur is overall in comparison to the rest of the BB Pirates is rather irrelevant imo. Usopp's greatest strength, his sniping skills, match him up well with VA, and a win against VA in a sniper duel would not suddenly catapult Usopp into the Monster Trio (although really, we already knew Usopp was the third strongest SH after Dressrosa with him getting the third highest bounty :ninja:)

Lol my bad, I wasn't clear on what I meant
I didn't mean to suggest that Usopp would become one of the strongest people in the OP universe, or top Jinbei, Just that he would use, intelligence, raw ambition to avenge his father, Plus nasty snipping skills to beat someone of a much higher caliber than he is
thus confirming his legacy

I'm a little disappointed so few characters are listed for the second starter set. I'd hoped it would be a similar size to the first one. Unless they just haven't announced some of them yet…

Those are good points about Lucci. I think the Amazon listings will continue to be mostly right, but I'll stay wary just in case. I think T-Bone is definitely getting a card. Unlike Jerry, he's got a clean enough full body shot to put on the front of the card and also actually has more than one scene to his name. Showing up at Marineford and the Reverie, even just for cameos, raises his chances a lot as well. But also if the Cipher Pol pack started to feel full and they're looking for someone to cut, I imagine he'd be the first to go.

Thousand Sunny Go is number 12
Going merry for sure is number 11
Vivi is former crew member with number 13
This means Jinbei is last one to join with number 10 at least …
-
I still think Merry and Sunny will share the same number, they're essentially the same "soul"
-
Unless Going Marry is 12 too, since same Klabautermann possess both the ships.
P.S: Ninja-ed…:ninja:
-
I do not think so because they said there is a card for Going Merry and a card for Sunny go … which means 2 different cards
-

Franky and general Shogun are two different cards with the same number.
-
Franky and general Shogun are two different cards with the same number.
I just said ( I do not think so ) lol
Anyway General franky case was different because it is something related to Franky on his own , it is like a weapon but has a card , even the two cards have " Franky " name but the two ships are with different names so that I do not think so two ships in one card but I will love to see number 11 empty for sure !!!
-
For me it was very clear in the story that Sunny and Merry were different ships. Even of Sunny has a klabauterman which inherited memories and the will of Merry, it is still different. That's why Franky made the Mini-Merry, which, in my opinion, os the one who inherited Merry's soul, not the whole Sunny

Ah yeah, I liked the General Franky thing, definitely means we would get a Sogeking card in Usopp's number, a Soba-Mask in Sanji's, even a flying version of the Merry that went to Skypiea probably.

Sogeking was on the front of Usopp's pre-timeskip card, it was labeled a "transformation". As for Soba-Mask, if they were going to release a card for him, it would likely be a promo card much like the Luffy and Zoro Wano cards were.
-
That full image of the Sunny card does look kinda suss. If it's from another magazine ad, where's the rest of the ad? If it's a promo image like we got for some previous packs, why is it at the resolution and level of quality of the magazine scan? Emunopla doesn't generally cite sources, so until this thing is corroborated somewhere else, I'm not really inclined to take it as canon.
Don't get me wrong, I think Merry and Sunny will be 11 and 12 (sorry guys, we're just kinda out of reasonable crew candidates at this point) but nothing is confirmed until the pack, or at least an official promo image, is out.

yeah, i kinda dissappointed that number 11 and 12 are for the ships, since i hope there still a room for another character to join the last voyage until one piece

From EtenBoby OJ
Captain of the third ship(also sniper): Van Augur, ocean of origin:east blue
Interesting that he originates from East Blue. Maybe there is a connection between him and Yasopp. Two of the best snipers in the world originating from the same ocean, who will probably fight against each other. Oh well, lets see were this will end.

People who are using the recent news as proof that no more new nakamas. Oda would not reveal a new one in a data book of all places (if one were to join), so keep on theorizing.
-
I know this might be a dumb question to ask, but are there regular binders that are similar to Vivre Card binder (by that I mean size wise with two straight D-rings that are 1.5 inches). I only ask this in case the actual binder breakdowns (due to time or other means, like the ring mechanism breaking down).
I remember in one of the videos released by the staff in the lead up to the first binder's release, when showing what one of the cards would look like it was next to a white binder that was similar in size to the first binder and with the same D-ring mechanism. I've found sites that sell ring mechanisms (similar to the one used in the Vivre Card binder), but not binders that have the same mechanisms or with similar proportions to the ring mechanism.

Jimbei was "officially" confirmed first from the databook numbering. And THEN from another non manga source, a drawing Oda did of the Crew for the Youtube Channel's banner.
Anything in the databooks is always to be taken with a grain of salt. And of course I doubt he would do something like spell out how many more crewmates could join, like if he left the 11th spot blank. But it's not to say that everything from the Vivrecards should be outright dismissed. Or that they don't at least partially hint at Oda's plans for the crew.

I would say it's pretty different, though I'm of the mindset that Jinbe was officially confirmed as a crewmember in Chapter 901 and the databook/YouTube banner was just the bow on top. We don't really have a manga scene strongly hinting that an 11th member is right around the corner.

Well, that confirms the full lineup. Disappointing the second starter pack couldn't be as big as the first. And god, could they have picked a less flattering shot of Merry? I had totally forgotten how long its figurehead looked when it first appeared. A surprise appearance from the Long Ring Long Land fleet's flagship: Goooooing Meeeeerry!

I would completely agree, had we had Jimbei in the colorspreads and covers. But again, his joining is one of the more unique ones among the crew.
My overall point is, that while things in the databook should be taken with a grain of salt, and the manga as the obvious primary source of canon, things in these Vivre cards do seem to be containing very factual information.
I would have never expected Oda to do something like leave blank spots for future crewmates, therefore spoiling future plot points.
But with these cards we HAVE been getting a lot of new information we normally don't get, such as for the first time having an official date of where the crew was at a certain point in time (being in the Whiskey Peak arc in February).

I was kind of hoping for more cards as well. As mentioned before the Macro Pirates are still MIA, Brannew was absent from the final East Blue saga EX card so he'll be getting one at some point.
Also going over potential characters for the two Water 7 packs (which are my own predictions) I don't think they'll have room for characters from the Long Ring Long Land arc (which would basically be Tonjit, his horse Shelly, and the Foxy Pirates).

The Water Seven and Dressrosa packs are both going to be incredibly tight. So many volumes and such character-heavy stories in just two packs each? We may have to wait for a third starter pack or an ex pack or something for the rest, like how Dorry and Broggy were delayed.
What I'm curious about now is whether the "canon" non-canon characters like Shiki, Zetto and Tesoro are going to be featured. Even if the movies are non-canon, these guys, as Oda's creations are generally considered to exist in-universe, and are both referenced by canon sources and considered fair game for manga character polls. But then what are their numbers? Zetto and Tesoro were both featured in colour spreads, which could work, except that to my knowledge Shiki has never appeared even on the cover of a manga chapter. Chapter 0 is considered canon and panels from it have been used for other cards, but it wasn't coloured, and it's hard to believe they'd do it now just for Shiki's card.
Then you have to wonder about other Oda-designed characters. Red from Unlimited World Red and the villain and girl from World Seeker could plausibly exist, even if the games are non-canon, but there's literally nothing to go on for their numbers. And then there's his contributions to the Kyoto stage show, Kiku and Lark, both of which can't really exist in canon as they were presented there.
I suppose they could start at 9999 and count backwards, doing them as promos…

New AD for the upcoming pack :
I knew Hattori would also be on Lucci's card. I'm guessing if a character's pet or animal companion is too small like Su and possibly Tyrannosaurus, than they don't constitute a separate square on the pack. However Sengoku's goat doesn't have a separate square, so it's possible they cut them out, possibly in favor of an after picture for his post-timeskip appearance or it's a surprise.

It's hard to imagine the goat being placed anywhere else. We know already that the cover squares for two-in-ones are inconsistent, and from Shirahoshi and Megalo that the official art for one character doesn't have to include the other. Unless the goat doesn't have the same meme value in Japane maybe…
The real question is, if the goat gets in, what about the gorrilla? Even though it has the same role and roughly the same screentime as the goat, I can see it being pushed back to ex-character status.
