@RobbyBevard:
I enjoyed Digimon far more than Atlus Shrugged.
Ah, but Atlas Shrugged is actually worth getting mad about.

@Monkey:
The debate of which makes more sense between Pokemon, Digimon and that other one is like arguing about the literacy of pickles.
They're different kinds of dumb. Digimon and Monster Rancher the series are the enjoyable kind you watch as a kid and still have some power to entertain you later on.
Pokemon is seven hundred episodes of Ash visiting nondescript random towns meeting nondescript random people with no personality, helping them with their mundane problems, leaving and never seeing them again, to do the exact same thing in the next episode, while making certain to not have the slightests chance of actualy achieving his objective by never keeping anything for longer then a season and then being surprised he gets beaten by trainers who've had their critter for years. Literaly everything beyond the first season or two doesn't have the power to entertain anyone beyond the age of ten.
Avengers is my favorite movie hands down. My second favorite movie is Letters from Iwo Jima. Take from that what you will.
This whole concept of "serious fiction" is silly imo. You should always judge a movie/comic/tv-show/manga by its own merits and not Citizen Kane as a standard (which I've watched and didn't much care for, loved Casablanca, again take from that what you will), what it's trying to be and how that resonates with you. Especially when more often or not, that serious stuff has some glaring flaws (that are usually glossed over by crtics) that may make the movie/comic/tv-show/manga even dumber than the "non-serious stuff"
coughPrometheuscoughLostcoughHunterxHuntercoughDarkKnightcough
At least the latter is more honest, it never pretends to be more than it is.

these are franchises though, like more than tv shows

Spoony vlog with his big brother, they get into a rather amusing tiff
Hahaha, that fight was awesome. I was worried that they were actually gonna start fighting for real for a second. Nerd battles are a thing of beauty. That bit with the cranes had me in stitches too. I really need to see the movie if it's as bad as it sounds.
@Monkey:
it is though lol
Okay, then while we're at it, maybe we should stop debating why One Piece is better than Naruto/Yu Yu Hakusho/Rurouni Kenshin, etc. After all, they're all just dumb shonen manga.

Some people are saying this on the comments and on Spoony's forum. I would be willing to bet that most of these people don't have a brother near the same age as you with similar interests. I mean, the arguing was pretty much straight out of my game/movie/whatever sessions with my younger bro, it might seem really intense (and it is) but we certainly are not gonna drop the gloves anytime soon. It's just something that happens naturally.
Yeah, you peeps need big brothers lol
To celebrate Independence Day, Oancitizen takes a look at W the Movie. No, not the Oliver Stone film, the Alfred Eaker film.

I know you meant this sarcastic, but what you just said made me agree with MonkeyKing even more. Do we really need to debate every day why One Piece is better than Naruto, Bleach or whatever other obsession this forum has?
I'm not a disgruntled fan of any of these series, but looking at AP from the outside, It kind of is embarrassing how the users here repeat their criticism for certain series ad infinitum, it's just redundant and boring and makes the One Piece fandom look incredibly petty.

This post is so boring I'm going to yawn.
Anyways, great episode. I do wonder if the line "abandoned by your coworkers" is actualy Spoony writing in the results of his recent….escapades.
Your knowledge of the land will be great

If your implying people should stop making fun of Naruto and Bleach for being terrible than you aren't on my side at all lol.
The Guardian's monologue at the end was pretty chilling especially given how it kinda rung true with the recent CA fiasco. Pretty clever writing of Spoony to incorporate his negative feelings into the review to give a good monologue.
Did anyone else keep checking the bottom right corner of the screen only to be disappointed to find nothing there like I did?

Kinda cool how he addressed the points you made about the inaccuracy of the counter from the start, right? Mural and all.
I played this in widescreen mode and still instinctively freaked out every time the error message showed up.

Bleach and Naruto deserve to be made fun of. They both suck ass and deserve the ridicule.
But every day, over the span of several years, same joke day for day, constantly hearing people talk about these two in the HxH thread and/or other topics is just really lame, and again, makes our little nice community look like douchebags who don't know when to let go of a topic.
Not trying to be a grumpy asshole here who hates fun, but this forum has a serious obsession with these two.
"Can you tell me about love?"
Insert Haddaway video.
Anyway, awesome video by Spoony. I LOL'd every single time the crash screen showed up.
Not trying to be a grumpy asshole here who hates fun, but this forum has a serious obsession with these two.
Have you actually looked at those threads? Are you aware that they were merged into one thread in order to minimize the redundancy? Or that they've just been talking about Tim Curry the last three days? Heck, Naruto threads 6-8 were about anything but Naruto.
Its not an obsession with the series. Its a sense of humor about the unintentional lulz they provide by their nature, and an acceptance that they'll never be good again. And we only have so much longer to be amused by them before they end and are quickly forgotten forever.
See also the Sonic thread, HxH, next Nakama threads, Last Airbender, Disney, Pixar, Final Fantasy, and the world politics threads. Things go in cycles because creators and people go in cycles. An old thing gets brought up and becomes a fresh subject again. Somebody new comes in that hasn't seen a debate before, comments on it, and things start anew. Its how forums work.
New AT4W shows us another comic starring Earth's Greatest Warrior, Sir Charles Barkley. Stay after the credits for Linkara at a convention. http://blip.tv/at4w/at4w-197-sir-charles-barkley-and-the-referee-murders-6244717
I love how in the beginning when Spoony uses the BETRAYAL! song he replaces the bit about X-Com with the "Fuck you EA you killed Ultima" snippet from Ultima 9 Part 1.

Hmm…
! I'm a little disappointed that Star Wars didn't make the list, but as Doug said, this is more of a list that makes the audience go, "Fuck Yeah!" That is, it's music that gets you pumped. In that regard, while the Star Wars theme is epic and invigorating, overall it's more of a theme that you just let wash over you and excite you within (for the most part anyway). The themes of Godfather and Lawrence of Arabia are, objectively speaking, better than any of the pieces he listed, but they don't make you want to jump up and go "Fuck Yeah!"
I really liked the choices Doug made especially his #1 Spot (don't click the spoiler tag if you haven't seen the video)
! Back to the Future is one of my absolute favourite movies so I'm glad that it's theme was #1. Alan Silvestri composed a fantastic soundtrack for a fantastic film :3

! I agree with his top 6 completely. Or roughly. I'd put Rocky at number 1, as whenever it comes on, I have to find some stairs to run up, and I would have put Mortal Kombat at number 2, as it just makes you wanna fight.
! I'm also disappointed LotR is so low, as that one of my all time favorite soundtracks.
! Other than that, it's a great list.
Pretty solid list, but…but... cmon,
! No star wars theme I can live with, but the Imperial March cannot be left out of a Best Themes. It Cannot.

! I dunno. The Imperial march doesn't really make me wanna shout "fuck yeah." It's much more a leitmotiv of impending doom. Just like Halloween and Jaws, which some people are whining about in the comment section on the video.
@The:

Its the "most FUCK YEAH!" themes, stuff suited for action and adventure and ass kickery, not the just "most iconic".
Star Wars is full of good distinct memorable tunes, but none of them are really "Now I wanna go out and kick ass!" Duel of the Fates is actually closer to the theme of the video than the main Star Wars theme or Imperial March.

! I absolutely agree with your choice for Rocky being number one. That song is the first song that plays when I work out an I absolutely love it when actual fighters use it for their entrance themes. A perfect example being Junior Dos Santos, who came from a terrible neighborhood in Brazil and used boxing and later jiu-jutsu training to keep out of trouble and now he's the best MMA heavyweight in the world. I still remember being there at the Honda Center in Anaheim the night he won the title and getting goosebumps when he came out.
!
! Put me down for Rocky for me being number one as well. Probably because I have fond memories of playing it whenever I got depressed studying for tests in college, and I thought I was sure to fail. Really helped to lift my spirits.
! Actually, I'm surprised that Doug didn't bring up the fact that he was cheating with the Mortal Kombat theme. I mean, he did with Mission Impossible, and it's not even like they spruced it up that much for the movie version of MK. It was already pretty awesome to begin with.

[hide]I don't really think it counts as cheating considering that the songs were never used in any of the video games. The album including the theme and various themes was included with the original game, sure, but I think that's far less cheating than Mission Impossible.[/hide]

Nah, my fault for jumping to conclusions. Should've phrased it in the form of a question.
well now all the other non MK fans out there know too. see. your helping. :D
8D
[hide]But to fair, you are somewhat correct. The theme wasn't a product of the movie. It was a product of the game, sorta. Someone wanted to dedicate an entire album to the first Mortal Kombat game and it's roster, and people who bought the game got a copy of the album with it. So to an extent, it IS a product of the game, just a product of the game that has never been used by any of the games itself.
Which is shame, cause both that theme and Sub-Zero's theme is awesome.
OOOOH! Chinese ninja warrior! With your heart soooo cooooooold! Sub-zeeeerooooo!

Hand it to Lindsay to go for such a deep subject like abortion. All the best to her. I'm sure she'll do great. She's fantastic at editing.
I've been checking out Pat the NES punk lately after seeing him do collaborations with Spoony and the AVGN. He has some funny reviews and the flea market game hunt videos are fun to watch. Here's a 2-part video of Pat and Linkara discussing the latest Spiderman movie:
