I'm just following up on Kaworu's proof.
Chapter 983 - Thunder
-
-
Someone probably posted it here already, but I seen someone post this on Discord. It's worth keeping in mind. Issue is this person seems older and also is just in the crowd like a commoner. To add to it, many people wear some of the same clothes, so there's a chance this isn't Yamato.
-
Yamato wouldn't have likely left Onigashima though.
-
On top of many other inconsistencies, I didn't think of that particular factor because I don't know if him being bound to Onigashima is a confirmed thing or not. It's been assumed by many readers, but that hasn't been confirmed really.
-
It's going to be funny if Yamato has nothing to do with Oden and is connected to an entirely different narrative.
-
Yamato probably idolized someone, Oden, and maybe now Luffy, and hates his dad or thinks he isn't cool like all children think of their parents. This is the reason Kaido drinks, tries committing suicide, and looks to participate in the biggest fights ever. He just wants his son to love him and respect him the same way he idolized Oden.
-
This reminds me, I realized in Oden's flashback Kaido dresses almost exactly as Katakuri. Knowing Katakuri (and all of the oldest Charlotte kids) spent his childhood with the Rocks Pirates, my headcannon is that he always looked up to Kaido and imitated his dressing style - so Yamato better pick something else to not make my headcannon a rip off.
-
Could Yamato's narrative actually be connected to the "god valley" incident? It could be a good chance to learn more about that if it is.

There are already some characters in Wano connected to that incident so that can learn about it if Oda wants too… then why Yamato? He was not even born at that time.

In Wano, it's just Kaido and Big Mom connected to that no? If Yamato also has something to do with it then might know something that can help Luffy. I'm just spitballing. I am curious on Yamato's age and if he is Kaido's biological son. The incident was 38 years ago and Kaido was still an "apprentice" so I'm also curious on his age.
-
I might be wrong, but I think there's something more than "I hate my dad" at play here. If that is even the case. He seems aware of some bigger picture here to not go along with the rest of the muscle heads. Ulti, as headstrong as she is, says Kaido will be Pirate King. The lames facing Zoro say they lost that PK ambition. So in this chapter, we have examples where some of the crew falling in line, then Oda slaps a guy in that is clearly not following that.
Tamago was used to give the readers the 30 PG layout. There's a chance some of the Beast Pirates might have some knowledge that is close to this level of importance. Whenever we get close to a Road PG, we get a bomb.
- Zou arc dropped the bomb of all bombs in the Whale Tree where the Road PG was
- Tamago gave us the 30 PG layout near the Road PG that MVP Brook copied
- Now we're on Onigashima where another Road PG is
In the middle of so much going on, it's easy to forget the Road PG is here. Also keep in mind that Luffy has yet to be shown hearing voices from PGs. When Roger started to used this ability is unknown. There's also a chance that Luffy may never use this specific ability, even tho he can hear Sea Kings and Zunesha. All of this can go certain ways. Are the voices for PGs like voicemails for specific users of VOAT or can anyone with Roger's kind of the ability hear all PGs?
Is the other prince to Shirahoshi and JB one in the same? Is Luffy either of them? Is Yamato like Puddin or is he genuine? Why this man got broken shackles on? Was King afraid of being embarrassed by Yamato or was it an excuse to have the Flying Six challenge a Calamity for Kaido's entertainment?
-

"Just Kaido and Big Mom" is an understatement considering they are the two biggest villains in the arc and we'll probably get more insight into their past before their defeat, perhaps even a flashback.
Also, maybe some other characters could have known Rocks and his history, or even have been there in God Valley, like some of Mama's oldest children.
As you have stated, Kaido was only an apprentice in Rock's crew, so there's no way that Yamato was directly involved unless we start making baseless theories about him. Maybe Yamato heard things about God Valley from his father, but it seems unnecessary to put Yamato of all people as the link to that incident when other characters present in Wano right now were alive and there.

Right. I forgot about Perospero. He should have been around 12 when the incident happened so maybe he knows something. Anyone else? The reason for Yamato knowing something would be so he can help Luffy. We can't say for sure how old he or Kaido is can we?
-
Right. I forgot about Perospero. He should have been around 12 when the incident happened so maybe he knows something. Anyone else?
Perospero, Compote, Oven and Daifuku were all alive when Big Mom was still with Rocks. Katakuri too, of course. Streusen is another member of the BMP that goes way back.
Marco was probably alive, but we cannot guess if he was a member of Rocks too. Anyway, he could give us some insight from Newgate's perspective.
We know that Higurashi had met Shiki and she was the one to set the Kurozumi's plans into motion, so maybe she told some things to Orochi.
The reason for Yamato knowing something would be so he can help Luffy. We can't say for sure how old he or Kaido is can we?
Why does it help?
And no, we can't be sure how they are, but…

We were talking about the characters in Wano right now that might know something. Only Kaido and Big Mom is a given. Streusen, Katakuri, and Oven didn't come if my memory serves.
Marco was 15 when he arrived in Wano if I remember correctly so he was alive then.
When did Higurashi meet Shiki? I don't remember that.
It would help to know how Roger and Garp were able to defeat the Rocks Pirates I think.
-

Well, Compote and Daifuku are in Wano. And I wouldn't be surprised if Katakuri and Oven also showed up at some point to witness the fall of the BMP.
When did Higurashi meet Shiki? I don't remember that.
When she revealed to be the user of the Mane Mane no Mi, she transformed into Shiki… so she met him as you need to touch the person for the ability to work.

Katakuri and Oven will show up just to witness the fall of their crew? I'm not even sure they will fall here.

Chapter 965? I don't think that was Shiki… I mean is it him for sure?
-
Marco was an apprentice on Newgate's crew when they met Oden, so definitely not an ex-Rocks.
-
@.access:

Can't he be an apprentice in both? Like he decided to follow Newgate when Rocks broke up.
Not that I believe he was, but it's not out of the picture unless his age doesn't match.
-
He would be about 7 years old at the time of the "god valley" incident so it can work.
-

The BMP might not fall here and keep going until Elbaf as many believe, but wouldn't it be a little tiring to keep them endlessly in the narrative for more than three arcs in a row? Smoothie and Perospero are the only two heavy weights left, so they're a lot less menacing right now, especially after we defeat Kaido. They might not die in Wano, but I believe it should be their fall as emperors and contenders for the One Piece.
So it would be cool to have Katakuri here to witness their end. I don't see him fighting against the heroes again, but playing a small role to close his personal arc. Maybe Pudding too.
Chapter 965? I don't think that was Shiki… I mean is it him for sure?
90% sure.

I don't know if it will be "a little tiring" if they are part of the Elbaf arc. It will depend on the circumstances. Like what if they aren't actually antagonists that arc? So far it looks like Perospero will be the only one actually part of the Wano arc. Maybe Smoothie will be the only one part of the Elbaf arc. :ninja:
I won't rule out Pudding or Katakuri suddenly appearing because that just happened with Prometheus but Pudding and Katakuri shouldn't be taken as lightly as that.
90% sure.
Why? The appearance and the connection to Kaido?
-
Ahh nuts, it's a break this week isn't it?
-

I don't know, man… there are just so many old characters in line waiting to get their own arcs, not to mention all the new characters who will show up at each new island. We don't need the BMP bloating the cast of future arcs. What we need is a soft reboot after Wano and to say goodbye to all of these non-Strawhats that have been with us for the last 10 years. Let's say goodbye to Law, samurais, minks, Kaido, Big Mom...
Obviously, it all depends on the story, so if Elbaf NEEDS Big Mom, then it's fine. I don't rule that out, and it could be fun. But I hope it ends here. And I say that as a huge fan of Big Mom.
Why? The appearance and the connection to Kaido?
Yes.

Yeah, I don't see Big Mom going down in Wano because It would lessen the impact of Kaido's downfall which has been building since Punk Hazard. She has to be part of the Elbaf arc one way or another. Maybe it will only be her and not her crew and their will be a detour before that.
-
we know Wano will end by a big party so either Big Mum is defeated or she becomes friendly. What could be the third case be ? She retires or flee ?
-
Yeah if Big Mom doesn't become "good" then she can simply leave at some point for one reason or another. Maybe because she learns about Lola's whereabouts which would be a good set up for the Elbaf arc.
-
That's not very credible after the scene we had from her crew. Their top priority is to take revenge over Luffy
-
Elbaf is always called a village and never an Island. It might mean nothing but just a reminder of that
-

Well right now she is after Zeus and the idea would be that Kaido would keep Luffy around until she returns.
-
Wait, so is yamato luffy's ''power up''. As in they will team up to take down kaidou, the rebel son beats his father kinda like BB with WB. Yamato does feel like oden, so it would be like oden & luffy vs kaidou.
-
I am so hyped for Yamato if takes off the mask. Same for the guy on Team Marco wjk seems to have the same kimono as the one who met Crocus
-
Honestly I think that's just Izo.
-
We've more in love with the idea of Yamato than the actual Yamato of course, considering we still know nothing about him. We'll see if when we'll know him better he will still be loved as it seems to be right now,or it will be less apprecciacted.
-
Honestly I think that's just Izo.
I hope not. I am waiting eagerly for him to appear and ever since seeing him Wano would make the best scene.
But who can it be as we know he has blonde hair.
-
I don't mean the guy talking to Crocus was Izo, I mean the guy talking to Marco this chapter is Izo. A piece of a cape is not enough for me to think they're the same person. It's not even a particularly notorious pattern.

I know that but I say it would be boring if would be Izo and no need to give him the same kimono and hide him as we have seen him the chapter before
And again when should this character ever appear if not at Wano seeing his style of clothing.
Only thing is if it is Yorki who was at Wano and we won't ever get the info until the end
-
Sorry I'm a little behind on this community - has anyone theorized that Yamato is Big Mom's son as well as Kaidou's? Maybe Kaidou keeping him is the previously referred to debt?

Well I had another theory about Big Mom putting Oden's soul into Yamato and that's the depth.
But well that's too far stretched.

I believe every Charlotte child has been seen, one way or another.
Now, Yamato being a _grand_child…
-

How would she do it if she never met Oden?
Also, you can't put souls into corpses or people. Is Yamato an object, then?

I am just speculating what her debt can be. And whonjnws about Yamato.
-

Personally, I think it's something from their time together in the Rocks crew. May even be the reason why Kaido can't die.
-
Maybe yamato is the person that was prepared to kill kaidou in the future.
Big mom just take a part of kaidou's soul and put it in a vessel. Yamato is a doll. -
Are you saying Big Mom used her power to create Horcuxes for Kaido? No need to mix in Harry Potter.
-

Yep, a couple of months ago, when Yamato was first mentioned.
-
That 1 never made sense. Oda said BM has a certain amount of kids and now he's rewriting it?
-
They were surprised that rookies like Luffy had it. Luffy not being an established 'threat' at the time makes it significant seeing as he had CoC well before getting to the New World.
I actually hoped we would see more CoC rather than less. In Dressrosa I did feel like we were meeting too many people with it, but now we're dealing with Yonkou level enemies. If contestants at the dressrosa arena could have CoC then I expect more out of New World crews.
The fodder crews are all but weeded out at this point
I don’t get why people have such a big issue with many characters (potentially) having CoC
I know that CoC (Haki) and DFs are supposed to be “rare” in the world of One Piece but in the pursuit of the treasure and the title of king you’re going to encounter users of those abilities
Even if the entire population of the world of One Piece was only One Billion and there were only One Million DF/Ability/CoC users - that would still be exceptionally rare.
I’m all for more ability users, CoC users especially.

It seems the korean blog who posted early spoilers is on a break so no spoilers on Monday? Or maybe my Google Translate translated badly what it was written there.
