Chapter 850: Ray of Hope
-
First.. Off to read..
-
Where's that ray of hope, lol.
-
seeing this guy at wano
-
Oh, that was a fantastic chapter to end the year on.
-
No chapter for 2 weeks correct?
Will be a long wait…
-
Pudding realized the year of Sanji was over and it was time to split. Sad.
-
If the split personality is the real deal, the eye has to be the cause, it's all over the place this chapter, lol.
-
Are those bounties even translated correctly? I can't remember any bounties that had random numbers tacked on so many digits after the first two or three digits. This giving me Jack 10 Billion bounty translation flashbacks.
-
Pudding realized the year of Sanji was over and it was time to split. Sad.
This "year of Sanji" was the worst thing that could have happened to him. :(
-
Split personality… AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
This "year of Sanji" was the worst thing that could have happened to him. :(
Oda gave him nothing but L's.
Ok it's time for bed for me.
-
So Tamago is literally an egg? You can see it after being sliced.
Also hope Sanji will finally do something, besides attacking his captain.
-
Year of Sanji was actually year of Sanji's suffering.
Poor boy all his hopes are crushed, or so it seems.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think Mangastream went a little over the top with the swearing this week. I mean god damn man.
-
Fucking savage :).
-
So Luffy is bleeding from cut that Cracker gave to his arm.
-
P…Pudding whyyyy?
I hate that you guys were right who doubted her. No wonder the spoiler thread was exploding. Can someone give me a summary on that?
-
Mangastream going all in with the swearing this week. Nami calling Luffy a "fucking twat"!? That stopped me in my tracks!
-
Wow what a savage chapter, absolutely brilliant, got to feel for sanji but think its time sanji breaks his rule on women
-
Sanji's summed up in one chapter, if it wasn't for his importance to the SHs crew, I won't mind if he dies here on the island. Hopefully he refuse to save his sister because of his so called Chivalry. That will wrap up up Sanji's year as the worst SH.

Pudding would kick his ass though.
-
Pudding is evil. Didn't see that coming. Hahaha.
I really wish Luffy can free himself from that cage. I wonder how though. Most probably someone will have to help him before he snaps his arms. What's up with these stupid broken fruits recently that doesn't seem to have any weakness and can restrict anything/anyone?!
-

In the spoiler thread they were said to be 382,000,000 and 429,000,000 so I'm quite sure mangastream translated them unbelievably wrong
-
Daaam.
Poor Sanji. Pudding seemed so lovely….to think she was some cruel psycho.Pedro and Tamago's bounties were both kinda strange....
Zepo? Brother of Bepo no doubt.
-
Next chapter Pudding tortures Reiju while Sanji watches. Puddding leaves and some random Big Mom pirate male walks in. Sanji being the true hero of woman decides he should save his sister from the evil pirate man.
-
1- Yes,i was wrong
2- this doesn't make any sense
we've had way too many instances where pudding had no reason to act because she was alone or surrounded by nothing but allies, and she still was the pudding we have knew until now
now suddenly we have to accept this "heel turn", even if it doesn't make sense in the slightestalso, all this to take control of the clone army?
just having the clone army doesn't assure big mom the ability to make more, that it's part of germa's technology and knowledge that you need them alive to acquire..so even the "wedding massacre" desn't make much sense either. -
Pudding would kick his ass though.
We really don't know what Pudding role in Big Mom group is.
Plus I doubt Sanji would fight her.
-
This was a good "I was wrong" chapter.
Now, I get this feeling that this arc will end with Sanji making peace with his brothers and sister and having a nice meal with them that he cooked.
Judge will probably fall (he's unredeemable IMO) and Germa lead by Reiju or Ichiji will become another allied country of the Straw Hat Pirates. This would make the upcoming Reverie even more interesting.
Pedro was badass and I hope he will become the 8th captain of the SHP alliance in a new Nox Pirates crew with Carrot and maybe Pekoms joining him.
Aladdin and the Sun Pirates could be the 9th.
Kinemon and the samurai could be the 10th after the Wano arc.
That would sound great IMO to have this manga end with Luffy having 10 crewmates and 10 crews under him. -
I'm not a big fan of Pudding's Bond villain-esque musings to Reiju. Why exactly is she doing this to Reiju, and why explain her plan? If Reiju escapes and tells the rest of the Vinsmokes then all hell is going to break loose before the wedding even happens.

Then again some are into that :ninja:

Being rational is horrible I guess. Should have got his wrists blown off day one I guess. Nothing more respectable than someone who gets his friends and family killed.
-
I love how Pedro compensates by giving up his eye.
Reminds me of Zoro in a way.
So, once again, bounty does not reflect strength as can be seen from Pedro and Tamago's fight.
Even from the flashback, Pedro is shown to be the superior combatant.
-
I really wish Luffy can free himself from that cage. I wonder how though. Most probably someone will have to help him before he snaps his arms. What's up with these stupid broken fruits recently that doesn't seem to have any weakness and can restrict anything/anyone?!
I predict he will awaken his devil fruit and turn his surroundings into rubber, including the thing that holds him.
-
Why did Pudding cry after annoucing her evil plan to Luffy and Nami? There was no one to fool anymore but… us, readers. And since obviously she didn't break the fourth wall, I wonder what those fake tears were for. If they were fake. This plot twist changes a lot. I thought Sanji would end up facing Germa, but it seems like they will end up allies in a battle against Big Mom. I guess Sanji should try warning his family right away - altough after all they did to him, I don't think their lives matter that much. The future is more interesting than ever. How will Sanji react to this? How are the other crew mates getting saved?Looking forward to the next chapters.

i agree also given tamago is wearing anti electro shirt he was defeated in that fight
-

Exactly what I have in mind too!
But at this point, I think Sanji will just drop by and free them. I think his guard has been offering him to meet them before. He definitely must use that now.
-
the only way i can see this making any sense is some kind of devil fruit power linked to the eye…
like, the real pudding goes to "sleep" for a set amount of time leaving "another one" that she can program with a set of characteristics and then acts independently until it's time to "wake up"
that would explain all of those instances where it didn't really made sense for pudding to continue the act
that would also explain why he helped luffy reach whole cake island..there was no particular trap on the beach, and if they had knew long enough where luffy was they could have intercept him way before he was so close to sanji.
-
Great chapter, but what was with the translation. Mangastream have no sense of One Piece's tone, all this swearing just doesn't fit. That said, Pedro's eye made for one of the most brutal scenes in recent memory, and the Pudding reveal, though hype, is a rather grim development.
Moving from the payoff for this, to the Reverie, to Wano, I'm real excited for One Piece in 2017. My greatest hopes are
The Rains of Castamere in the anime soundtrackfor Pudding to be a straight up villain and not get a redemption arc (lady villains tend to get off easy in OP, and we got Reiju already for a sympathetic girl among a group of bad guys in this arc) and for it all to lead to some desperately needed character development for Sanji. Aside from that, I'm content to just sit back and let the chaos unfold. -
Okay unless she has a split personality, her flashback with Lola now makes zero sense.
Other than that I'm okay with these developments. -
Red wedding…..

I think there is a mistranslation. In the chapter it says only her family knows of her true personality. In the spoilers it said only Big Mom knows her true personality. Could be that she was acting for her siblings.
-
what were those situations you speak off, that she was being surrounded by nothing but allies? i don't really remember those to be quite honest
when she was talking to tamago while brook and pedro were spying them.
nobody but members of totland and tamago around, and they didn't knew brook and pedro were there otherwise they would have arrested them on the spot,no sense in letting them go, and she still was the usual pudding.
also we hd a peek inside her freaking mind when she was thinking about lola and look all sad…why was she sad,ALONE, if everything was just a ruse? why even think of lola in that scenario?
everything seemed to be there to convince us that pudding was genuine..but doesn't make sense if you read it after you know the truth -
How the hell is this arc gonna end
-
I wonder how Sanji will get out this perdicament:
He's against attacking a "lady", even if it means death but, short of someone else interfering, either he let's his sister get killed or he stops pudding, which can only be done by attacking her.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong but, unless next chapter leaks early then "expected", this is the last chapter of 2016.

I think she willingly lead them to whole cake because she knows that Luffy is no weakling push over fighter, and that it'll likely take one of their commanders (Cracker) to take him out. Which would have been easier done at the center of the Archipelago, than on one of the miniature islands.
-
Also pudding said that she is getting tired of big mom is she betraying her ?
-
I think it's pretty obvious that we're looking at a split personality situation with Pudding. The third eye opens and evil pudding emerges…
-
We don't see pudding's face in that Lola or Big Mom flashback. I wonder why
