Her jumping of the mast was also funny. She never looked that badass during Arabasta.Her dad is not ill in this chapter it was hinted that he is faking it to get her to hurry up and marry one of the 100 princes they want to marry her.

i hve already said we would have a mink alliance crew with pedro or pekoms as the leader or both as leader we have a dwarf alliance crew they could throw most of the named minks into it lol.

I think its pretty set in stone that Carrot will be the next nakama along with Jinbe…They're saying shes stronger than the average minks which is strong enough to begin with. She loves adventure and want to travel lol so this could work and we need a mink in the crew!!

I agree. Also not only destroyed but they may not even have fought at all. There's too much we don't know yet.
And the report about the island being found but not about the revolutionary army being taken down makes it pretty obvious that they weren't defeated to me -
Does Luffy still have Sabo's vivre card? That would be useful to see if he is alrigth. And people, please. It was one of the four emperors. If that would have to be show on-screen it would be Marineford without Luffy.

• The kings are finally on the move and as it seems the meeting will not only involve current affairs but will also involve past events and things that should be considered taboo
• Luffy's group just got a whole lot funnier
• Do the Revos actually need a base to operate? The Kings are starting to move so this seems like the perfect opportunity to board the ships and start the counterattack.

This chapter makes me think Vivi is going to be brought back into the main plot for at least a while. Kobra's wondering about the Poneglyph and ancient, possibly evil, king of Alabasta. She also seems to yearn for a more adventurous life and may have gotten stronger.

For the glory of being one of the first to call it, of course. To go at it from another angle, I could see her adding to color spreads in a way that adds to the zaniness of One Piece, and she has that One Piece "face" that could be on posters with the rest of the Straw Hats. Would also draw in new readers. "Okay, this series' main cast has humans, a reindeer, a cyborg, a skeleton, a fish guy, and a rabbit? I'm a little intrigued."
Not guaranteed by any means but since Jinbe, she's got a solid start so far.
I'm going to gush about this chapter, it was absolutely fantastic. The entirety of Zou was solid classic One Piece; Oda is still a grandiose talented storyteller that knows where his roots are and how to throw in new tricks.
This was a rare case where I think the off-paneling was the preferential way to show what happened at Baltigo. It's just so IMMEDIATE. It leaves a massive feeling of awe at the power of the attackers and a mix of mystery and dread. I think it worked well - we'll get the juicy bits told to us at some point.
Love how Carrot almost bit through Luffy's damn neck.
The long-lasting repercussions from Luffy's whimsical fall were very entertaining and fresh.
The around-the-world first half of this chapter was just so, so good. To piggyback on someone else's comment, it's not just the designs, it's the personalities being meticulously remembered that's so impressive.

I don't think the previous kings of Alabasta were evil…maybe they were just on the wrong side - they did only fight 1 kingdom though so 20 vs 1. Also, the reason that Alabasta king decided to stay back instead with their people instead of moving to Marejois kinda proves that they were not evil.

They could also use this incident to misinform the world about the Revo Army & the government might back off a little. Back to working in the shadows. Revos are too smart for this, Dragon won't fight until the big war, he doesn't need to.

Sabo gave Luffy's Vive Card (that he made real quick) to Zoro, according to the translation I read at the time, at least.
Great chapter, once again. I was scared the Reverie would never been shown, but I guess we will get to see it, finally. Really looking forward to that meeting, and I hope we'll get to know a bit more about the Void Century.

yup. they work like spies, burn after reading. They were discovered, it'd be STUPID logic wise if they didn't detect blackbeard ships coming and if they didn't have a backup base of plan for evacuation.
Oda's hyped them up for so long if they didn't have a purpose then it'd be waste of like 400 chapters since they were mentioned/alluded to.

I guess I understand. But it's gotten ridiculous over the years, some people were claiming Carrot would join before she even appeared in that colour spread. I wouldn't mind her joining though since I was hoping for one more female character to join the crew before the end. And like you say it'll give the crew more diversity. We've seen so many different races in the world of One Piece so it would be a shame if most of the strawhats were just humans, reindeers, robots and bones.
I think japanese people really love bunnies so she would be pretty marketable for the series.
The Zou arc was perfect for me. Not too short, not too long, advanced the story quite a lot and had just the right amount of drama and comedy. Felt good after Punk Hazard and Dressrosa.

I think Revolutionaries just left and destroyed their base before Blackbeard could reach it. They discovered Burgess and they had to leave.
Nice to see all kinds of kings from different places and my first thought about the clock-bearded man was that he is Sanji's father. Dunno why, maybe because of his curly whiskers :D That would mean he is a noble, which would explain Sanji's weird eyebrows since all nobles are mostly very strange looking.
I probably won't get much love for saying this, but CARROT IS SUPER ANNOYING!!!! There, I said it. I really hope she will not be next nakama.

When I read the title kinda fast before reading the chapter I misread it as String World. That made me think of Doflamingo. What does that mean??? Like a birdcage around the whole planet? Jesus Christ! Half a second later it became Stirring World. Oh, ok then.
