So from the look of the logos, I take the new legendaries are going to be based on wolves?
Pokemon Ultra S&M - Let's Minecraft Pikachu and Eevee Quest

Finally, a full game around Aegislash! It deserves no less.
Oh, I guess we have some new starters too. Meh.
-
! Apparently a leaker actually posted the name of the games correctly and the starters I believe, said leaker says there is a new type of evolution called Armor Evolution
! Examples are Mewtwo, Charizard(yes them again), Zeraora and Flygon. -
Waiting for the inevitable tea cup pokemon that evolves into a Tea pot pokemon
-
Need to see the second forms to see where they are going with these starters, but, so far, I'm leaning towards the monkey (because I really like monkeys). Also. A big thumbs up to the region design and stuff, hopefully it has a decent amount of content (pre-endgame and endgame) and has nice level of difficulty.

Waiting for the inevitable tea cup pokemon that evolves into a Tea pot pokemon
You're gonna get that and a clock-related Pokemon for sure.
-
One you beat the Elite Four, you'll be let back into the EU.
-
The setting looks cool, but I'm not really feeling any of the starters yet. They'll probably grow on me eventually though.

Ever since hearing the idea of a UK based region I've been wondering about Team Brexit as a possible villain team.

But… is it only for switch...=?

Proposal for four bug-type legendary pokemon themed around music.
Glennon (Grass)
McHardney (Rock)
Flarisson (Fire)
Wingo (Flying) -
There's one team that wears black shirts and they pretend to be nice but they're actually total pieces of shit and their leader is named Oswald.
They fight a rival team who dress like punks and all look rough and mean but are actually really cool guys. Their leader is literally just John Lydon playing himself.

The three legendary birds of Galar:
Claptalon
Beak
Pageon -
In this gen, Looker returns in a time-traveling police box.
-
Running from wild pokemon now involves a minigame where you actually run from pokemon while yakety sax plays.
-
I just realized that we got Pokemon UK right after Fire Emblem Hogwarts.
-
This gen will also feature a python pokemon that everyone will invariably nickname Monty
-
Something something monarchy based Pokémon where only females can evolve

Ok, second impressions since I had to watch the trailer kinda in a hurry before:
-
Scorbunny definitely is going to be sport related, it even has the "nose bandage". This probably means it will be bipedal by the end, so another chance of my big 4-legged rabbit gone, apparently. But he looks fun, even though he belongs to a sort of aesthetics I usually dislike (the "energic pre-teen main character boy partner"), he actually works. Still, my least favorite.
-
Sobble is just too damn adorable for all the same reasons Wimpod became my second favorite pokémon ever. Depending on its evolutions, I may finally end up picking a water starter again (even though I picked Squirtle and Totodile, marking a strong "water start", I never went with water ever again).
-
I couldn't hear the pokémon voices the first time and hearing Grookey… I can't handle the cuteness. It actually is almost Rowlet levels of cuteness! My favorite of the trio unsurprisingly, but I can only see it evolving into some cave-man-gorilla thing that I will probably dislike. Despite how much I love Rowlet (probably my favorite starter ever, all stages combined), I ended up exchanging it for Litten because I disliked its evolutions... I can see that happening again.

Pokemon Sword and Shield-What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen Swellow?
-
Someone start a new thread! The monkey reminds me too much of Quilladin so I'm a bit turned off by it. The bunny is my favorite but I always choose the water starter…what to do.

Wow, they announced this new one almost exactly 3 years after the last one.

Its not a mouse, Cydaquil is based on the Echidna
It's literally called the Fire Mouse Pokemon.
-
Oh, we are taking the species the be all of them instead of what they look like?
-
Blastoise is the Shellfish Pokemon.
-

If you want to get really technical, then Cyndaquill is a porcupine, as that's what its Japanese name refers.
Porcupines are rodents, so close enough to rats.
-
I don't think the name matters to be honest. I think the intent of whoever designed the critter was pretty clearly going for an Echidna.
-
Seems like in the Chinese film poster they edited Mr. Mime's face to resemble the game art:
!
It'd be interesting if any international versions of the film give him that kind of facelift in the actual footage, but it's more likely not gonna go that far. -
Yesterday I finally downloaded the demo of Let's Go Pikachu… it is short as hell, you can end it in 10 minutes or even less and somehow, despite being so short, it managed to bore me. Definitely reinforced my negative impression of the game and it even managed to hurt my hype for SwSh...

How does a game that is made solely for nostalgia purposes and with the total abscence of some key features affects to your anticipation of the next mainline game is beyond me.

I assume psychology is not your passion.

Nice effects, and I see signs that they're being true to the material.
Except, is Aipom supposed to be a aggressive nightmare? I don't recall him being that scary in any form of media. I mean, maybe it's just a thing for this movie? It's weird.

I can only guess it was made during development, to show how the Aipom horde might look in their docile and crazed states. All of these shots look strictly like development footage, especially the walk cycles for Pokes like Dodrio, Venusaur and Kingler.
But is it wrong to say I love this trailer and it's use of Whitney Houston to bits?
-
Aipom is an unholy monstrosity and it's good to see that people are finally realizing it's horror.
-
Here's what I suppose will be the film's ending credits song, "Carry On" by Kygo and Rita Ora:
The coerography isn't anything special and lifts a lot of clips from the trailers, but it has a few new clips including Pikachu's fight against Charizard.

My guess would be that Nintendo does quite a bit that isn't in the best interest of the games so if their first major excursion into Pokemon RPGs on the Switch isn't a stellar experience, that might bleed over to the next Switch release. It happened with Paper Mario so who knows.

And it seems like we've got a legitimately darn good film on our hands: https://nintendosoup.com/first-impressions-of-the-detective-pikachu-movie-are-extremely-positive/

Since the Press Conference was only about non SwSh content, I will post it on the spinoff thread:
- A guy from Toho is getting a nomination. Or not. It depends on the motion being approved. ???
- Accidental Godzilla advertising (I cracked up on this part)
- A new Detective Pikachu game is coming for Switch, from what I got. Unsure if it is a whole new game or just a remaster with a proper ending (they mentioned the 3DS game ending on a cliffhanger and this one finishing the story - with a different end than the movie)
- A new Pokémon Center at Shibuya
- Pokémon Quest is being released in China
- NetEase promises to release more interesting pokémon games. Wang words, not mine.
- Hey, I know this guy.
- It's Masuda! Hi, Masuda!
- Pokémon HOME: a cloud app that will connect Pokémon Bank, 3DS games, Pokémon GO, LGPE and SwShi. You'll be able to store Pokémon, connect with other players and trade Pokémon using your mobile. Early 2020. - Pokémon GO made you walk, now lock yourself back. "After walking, we decided to focus on the act of sleeping".
- I really have no idea where this is going.
- Pokémon Sleep: so you can look up to wake up every day. Again, NOT MY WORDS. I could use that some of that, though.
- Pokémon GO Plus+ (yeah, it reads as Plus Plus). It is basically an upgrade of the Pokémon Plus, keeps the same functions but also makes your sleeping hours count.
- More on sleeping. Snoozing Snorlax event on GO…
- "We want to turn sleep into entertainment". They are really trying to make a big thing out of a new expensive device that simply adds steps to Pokémon GO if you are sedentary... I mean, have healthy sleeping habits.
- Too much inputs, I will go back to just reporting.
- Pokémon Masters. New project for smartphones. It includes trainers from main games with their classic pokémon partner. In-game footage showing Brock ripping his shirt off to use Rock Z-Move. Looks like a gacha, but I could be wrong. - Pokémon Shirts will be available again with the option to customize the design online. So far only in Japan and some of Asia, but they plan to expand it to other countries.
-
Intrigued by Pokemon Masters and I'm glad we're getting a port(?) of Detective Pikachu, but don't care for the rest.
Sleep was too vague about what you actually do, besides sleep.
-
For those who missed it:
Looks like a gacha where you can get trainers to go on 3x3 battles. I don't really care about the characters in Pokémon, I hope this will be enough to keep me safe from this (gachas are Satan tools), but man, if it actually becomes a hit I can only fear the combined power of Pokémon and a gacha.
On the other hand, this game getting popular would add a new big aspect when developing characters for future main games, as they now would also become a source of revenue as the pokémon themselves. -
Pokemon Sleep had me LOLing HARD. The effort they put into trying to make it sound even the least bit interesting was admirable..
Thankfully Masters looks like it be a fun Gatcha experience.
-
Is there any relevant info about pokemon home? Like.. it is region free? <hard wish="">or does it also allow to transfer items?</hard>
-
Supposedly it will allow to trade with anyone globally, so it should be region free. As for items, at first I would guess it will work like Bank, but since it will have the trade function - and it seems it will be one of its core features - and we know many pokemon evolve through trade wish specific items…
