Greg's latest column repeated a paragraph in the first section.
And I didn't know that the names for Giants are based off of wrestlers. That's pretty cool!

After rereading chapter 861 something caught my eye! When the underworld leaders gave gifts to BM, Morgans says the following "My gift is a rare on from the distant south". So I started thinking that maybe Morgans is in reality from the South Blue and then after digging a bit I found that Oda have already made alot of connections with birds and the south blue:
- Morgans saying that his gift is from the south.
- In chapter 847 BM states that she has a griffon from the south blue in one of her books.
- Chopper went to Torino Kingdom(Birdie Kingdom) in the south blue during the timeskip.
- The bird Chuchun that is the bird that the anouncer of the Foxy Pirates was flying was said in chapter 306 to be a rare super sparrow from the south blue.
- Also we have the south bird in the jaya arc.(Not as good a connection like 1-4)
- Miss Universe also has some sort of a bird hat.(Not as good a connection like 1-4)
Do you guys think this is just a theme of some sorts that Oda has chosen for the south blue or could this somehow play a role in the future of the story?
URANUS SPOTTED!!!!
Nice there, with that, any time i would see a bird related thing, i would think on South Blue, and finally birds on One Piece can be in almost all places.
Like Zach and Greg's obsession with the moon. Or my obsession with the phrase "the power to destroy the world"
lol, lil' clarification on the moon.
I first developed moon theories back around Thriller Bark. That's when I was super into moon stuff.
Since then it's simply become apparent that, yes, the moon is a huge part of the story of the world of OP and therefore I'm patiently waiting for it.
Zach took a lot of my observations and wrapped them up in a nice bow with some of his unique conjecture about 6 years later aaaaand that's where we stand.
I think Zach gets a lot more excited than I do because he's newer to the theory whereas I'm like, "Yup…that's what I've been saying for near a decade now."
mmm what do you think about all the moons that ohara had in their planetarium? will we ever know more about them? or why they never show in the sky?
and when we were into caesar lab, they had the earth with only one moon…
that is something that bothers me
As one of these moons has its own moon as well, do we know whether these are supposed to be moons for sure? Or could it be other planets as well which are just depicted from the perspective of the OP earth?
Well, there's the thing that Capone crashed when he entered the new world.
Is that floating thing ever gonna be acknowledged. I can live with the Florian Triangle monster being left to the imagination, but wtf is sucking ships up. Is it moon people? Can we answer every question with moon people?

Might as well claim that moon people are responsible for every one of those weird New World islands that were teased but never explored.
Don't like moon thingy…never liked those moon stuffs of Naruto. Why can't we have everything earthbound and earth originated, why Oda why?

What's more, they saved Pell.

It's a geocentric model of the One Piece worlds solar system. It's their solar system with their earth depicted as the center.

It was just to show the diversity of the NW and how dangerous it is.
I personally would love to see the island Capone encountered a bit more, but in general those island had the function i described and don´t have to be a destination for the SHs.
Granted, it would be a great thing to explore such an island in a filler, but why should we get such a treat there^^
I can live with the Florian Triangle monster being left to the imagination,
They're giant elephants.
I'm still not seeing this one at all.
Oh c'mon.
!
And I don't think those shiny eyes are worth putting too much thought into. Not sure why Oda put them in unless he didn't finalize what he wanted Zou to be yet.

So those are the limbs then and the elephants are doing backstrokes while wearing those cool light up shoes which explains the eyes.
How does Zunisha cross red line?:wassat:
I'd guess by walking across the Calm Belt?
@Count:
Who said that there was only one of Zunisha's kind?
Well,that's a good theory….
Well,that's a good theory….
It's not really a theory when they mentioned how there's more than one Zunisha in the Zou arc.
probably in the final arc, when we will know about the void century, the red line, marijoi and raftel, we will know how the world was shaped into what we know nowadays. we will also see the end of that world, Sanji will find north blue, zunesha her pals, laboon brook and so on
I dislike "the world was reformed by the WG" theory. It makes them even more of a failure because they either hid their secret shame in the most obvious place, or didn't know where raftel was and casually put it in the worst place possible. Or whatever it was, got placed there by the ancient kingdom? That one is alright.
I rather like "the world was reformed by the ancient kingdom" tho. They hid raftel in a place where it could be found, it made life harder, but not unbearably harder, and tried to keep the WG contained in the grand line. And it puts the treasure just in the x. The x marks the spot.
Ultimately, there has to be a reason the world is this way, the detail of the red line being actually "tons of islands clumped together", oars being the continent puller, the weird magnetism of islands point to that.
The argument of " it is not natural" is bullshit though. It is short sighted in the media that its in, makes assumptions about geology and astronomy that Oda most likely didn't study.

OK, I'm just throwing ideas out here where Greg can see them, but: why weren't any human giants in skypea?
After the shadows, the beanstalk and the original story there were enough hints of it, but when we get there, we find giant snakes, giant south birds, weirder creatures that have been since before shandora got up there, but regular sized humans.
The only humans there came from the moon so that might be a hint, I guess.

Yeah, what's up with that. You don't just put a giant nod to Jack and the Beanstalk in your story and then not have any giants on it at all.
Although, I can acknowledge it was sort of red herring, seeing how there were supposed to be some giants on the clouds, only for them to turn out to be mere shadows of Skypiea residents.
it also was a typo by the way
Well, in the German dub we've already found All Blue. And the likes of Nami and Usopp take on multiple Admirals successfully.

that seems a funny series
I got a crazy theory:
How about Pudding helping Luffy and Co. using her memory manipulation and making Mama forget everything. We have already got hints that she can do mass memory manipulation and what should be the best time to use it as a act of repentance? In the last chapter she seemed to be genuinely in distraught.Who knows, may be Oda will give her a change of heart….
Greg do you think there's a chance that we will see Yokai in wano??? I mean Kinemon did call usopp a tengu right?
Greg answer some questions.
Greg made a video!
Nice Video Greg.
Thanks! Was a great deal of work!
Wano is going to be off the hook w/ Japan goodness so they'll probably be involved but the question is, how is Oda going to include them? Application of DF's in an unnatural manner? Actual legendary DF's?
Finally a well-researched video about One Piece, and not the usual, and obvious trash that is seen on youtube.
Great video, Greg.
By the way, who do you mean by "they"?

You mean like Fishman Island was off the hook :ninja:
@All:

Oh! Sorry, someone asked if 'youkai' might appear in Wano.

Ah, I see. Yeah, yokai might be cool. Maybe one of them will join the Strawhat. Shit, now I feel like replaying Nioh.
Considering Oda's history as Watsuki's assistant during Rurouni Kenshin, we better get background cameos.
Great video Greg! Love the captions for some of those manga panels("creepy AF toy").
Bit disappointed you don't have one of the infamous One Piece booby mouse pads.
You earned yourself a subscriber, Greg. It'd be great to see more video content in the future, even if you can't use the actual manga pages.
Youkai? Like Youkai-like zoan DFs or actual Youkai?
That was a good video and it talked about aliens! But without Gear 5 Monkey God Pirates I'm not sure how successful these educational and enlightening videos can be.
If this was before Big Bird Morgan I'd say "no way" about yokai. But with s surprise bird people and 3 eye people, I wouldn't be surprised of a yokai-ish race. Allied with the shogun.

You forgot the Awakening, that's extremely needed in order to shine over the mortals.
Great oratory there, Greg.
Greg, i've a question about Sengoku's Goat… i simple thought that after reading this:
When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
There's probably a coincidence regarding that such animal goes at the side of character that involves the Buddhahood way, do you something about it that it has not been implied for Oda or it's assistants?
Lamb and Goat are very different animals tho, in what they represent. Specially in Christianity.
