The scene transitions were so fricking smooth
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part II: Do the Dio Walk!
-
-
Yoshikage Kira wasn't evil, he just wanted to live a quiet life.
For a rather bloody definition of "quiet." Didn't he also have a thing about slashing up the backs of his victims. I remember Remi having scars from it.
-
This Soundtrack is godlike. I mean Holy Dio, that music that plays at the last Dora Dora is better than Stardust Crusaders.

It's not his fault, the man's got a fetish, that's all! What happened to freedom in this country, eh?

Well, he lives in Japan, where rules might be different. Still, that's why the Japanese gods gave unto them doujinshi.
Also the back slash thing was a serious question, I can't remember the specifics there

He used to do that until he got his Stand. Then he was able to dispose of any witnesses quickly and without a trace. Remi I think was his last victim before he got his Stand.

I am a fan of the CGI openings, but the graphics for for the opening just felt so, so right.
Great episode
-
"Thrilled that so many folks are happy we allowed ‘I Want You’ to be used in #jojo_anime - it’s a cool show and I was happy to say yes."
-
Question, who voices Josuke's grandfather? I was listening to him in the second episode and all I could think was he sounded like a Japanese Ed Asner. Though just now it occurred to me that might've been because, since he's a cop, I was unconsciously thinking of

That's badass he likes the show and let them use the song. A lot of times musicians get all anal-retentive about people using their music even if they do ask for permission.

Have to agree with that. Already been addicted to that ending song, and been listening to a few of their other songs. After listening to a few of their other songs and now this I've found a new group that I really like.
-
Angelo VA did a great job at portraying this sick bastard, felt he was far more menacing and frightening in the anime than his manga counterpart.
-
Yuki Kaji is voicing Kouichi. Everyone who follows japanese media might have heard of the joke
But I guess you just wanted to be a goody two-shoesEven though that had Spanish subtitles…I knew his pain lol.
-
Well, this didn´t took long to come out
-
Really excited for next week since the Angelo/Aqua Necklace chapters were about as much as I read of the manga before the anime adaptation was announced. Admittedly it is a little bit jarring seeing Jotaro and Josuke in their slimmer forms when the manga was still depicting them in Araki's old "brick shithouse" style at this same point. It's good to see the heroes helping the villains along with their clueless dumbassery is still in effect.
I know dogs dying is a perverse running gag at this point, but that scene in the beginning man, what the fuck Araki?!

Dog shits on the road and the owner is too lazy to clean it up afterwards?
Gotta go, gotta go….........excessive and messed up as it was.

I like how much DIU is nothing like SDC. Davepro is really stepping up their game.

I was thinking, Part IV is pretty boring until the end, Kira saves part IV from being bad. RHCP, Tamami, Shizuka Joestar, Shigekiyo, Mikitaka, Stray Cat, Super Fly and Cheap Trick are the only "reasonable parts" in part 4.
Sure, I will watch the anime, but I know that it will take a long time for it to get good.
-
RHCP literally enters the scene almost immediately after Angelo tho, and Kira shows up not too far immediately after, so I'm not even sure what you mean that it's "pretty boring"
Especially when each character is already pretty bizarre and the fights are where Araki is really playing around with the stand concept.
-
RHCP was boring in the manga, maybe his animated counterpart will make his fight a little better. Yeah, I know Kira will show up eventually, but I want to enjoy the full anime, not only Kira.
Meh, maybe I am being too picky with the fights, waiting every fight to be breath taking, I know that it will have highlights.
-
You just said it was reasonable tho
And this is neglecting
- Koichi awakening Echoes
- Yukako's Love Deluxe
- An entire storyline on eating really, really good Italian food
- Anything involving Rohan
- The rat hunting chapters
- Ghost Dog, Girl, and alleyway
Hell, i think if anything it's the rat hunting chapters that are extraordinary because it plays off the Jotaro-Josuke dynamic. So… boring in what way? That people aren't getting beaten up in every fight or what...? Part 4 is just about as creative and relatively consistent with powers as Araki gets
-
They managed to make SC a very pleasant ride, so I can only expect DiU to be a weekly fangasm.
-
Yeah, I was just being picky about some parts I didn't like, also, the animation could change my mind in the future, who knows ?
-
Rat arc provided some excellent character interactions between Jotaro and Josuke. Most of the fights are there to further develop our heroes.
-
Also Let's go eat Italian food is like, the best thing ever in Jojo. I actually cannot wait until it airs. The same week as E3 i believe (maybe the friday before).
-
I'm glad it's been a while since I last read part 4. I can be surprised all over again. I've forgotten so much lol. I sorta remember the restaurant and ghost and Alien? But I don't recall anything about rats.

I can't believe you forgot the beautiful moment when Jousuke went hunting with his nephew.

I'm sorry. But yes…lol. I was marathon reading through Part 1 to part 7. I don't recall a lot of things. I remember Koichi being held hostage by that crazy woman though lol.

Seeing Yukako animated is going to be a joy.
-
Boy II Men, meeting Mikitaka, Josuke+Mikitaka x Rohan, Highway Star, Hayato investigations… not to mention Rohan or Kira simply showing their faces to do whatever, there is so much gold in DiU. Easily the season I am more hyped for so far, despite being a big Battle Tendency fanboy.
-
You guys are making me salivate for the next episode on Friday/Aftewards. I've introduced my friend to Jojo's and he's hooked too lol and he's not even on part 3.
-

DUDEEEEEEEEEE
How could you forget Highway Star?
Serious contender for best fight of the entire part 4.Josuke punching bikes to save babies man.
-
part 4 had a lot of great fights
Funny that the first one with Angelo isn't all that great, but it does a decent job at establishing Josuke's personality, giving a good glimpse into his resourcefulness, maybe the smartest jojo tied with Joseph -
I apologize in advance for this
!
-
To whomever reads that and doesn't get it, it's not worth it to research it. Some things are best left in ignorance.
-
How the hell did I forget about the dude who bites off a dog's face and spits its gore into its owner's mouth? Araki never change
-

No, see, that's actually the kind of thing I'd think most people would actively want to forget.
I know I do… -
I just kept thinking, "Who on earth wakes up one morning and thinks 'I know! I'm going to draw a man biting off a dog's face and spitting the blood into his owner's mouth'?!" and then I remember the baby and the vampire mother from Part 1 and go, "Oh right…"
-
Imagine career day at Araki's studio
"All right, kids, gather round, it's the FAMOUS manga author!! What are you drawing, Araki-sensei?"
"Oh, just putting the finishing touches on this Rottweiler's exposed optic nerve."
"Is that… a laser beam, coming out of its eye...?"
"Oh no, that's an energy spear going INTO its eye. How old did you say these kids were?"
"Four!!"
"D'awww. They're adorable." -

-
Matsui still killed more dogs.
-
Matsui was just following in his idol's footsteps
-
It's like Chekhov's gun.
Araki's dog: If you say in the first chapter that there is a dog, it will immediately die a more horrible death than the one you just imagined. If it's not going to be eviscerated, it shouldn't be there.
-
These fictional dogs suffer for our entertainment, so you better appreciate their sacrifice.
-
OKUYASU! Ahh I'm so excited to see the boy!
-
Seems like we're getting JJBA for the rest of the year (no breaks).
Confirmed to have 39 eps (3 episodes per disc).
First blu-ray cover

They covered the first volume in two episodes. If they continue at that rate, they're going to cover the whole series in a single run.
That's good to hear, actually, since I think cutting up Diamond is Not Crash is a little awkward. I mean the best place to break would be after introducing Kira, so you would finally get a glimpse at the main villain and then pause for a while. Normally, covering 4-5 chapters in one episode would be a little worrying, but they did fine with the first two episodes, and a lot of these chapters read pretty shortly, anyways.
-
Weeks ago, I felt that 39 sounded a little short, but seeing how they're covering more chapters each episode than SC did it's not too bad.
Like how there's no break too! Jojo fridays will be there for a while longer then be gone for a while longer assuming they'll take a longer breake before Vento Aureo
-
39 episodes sounds like a good number. While it's my favorite part, it would've dragged way too much if it was like SDC. A number of times it felt like those episodes were getting dragged out, so the fact that this will be faster paced and less dragged out is a good thing. Unless it's too fast, then they need to find that sweet spot.
Also, that first DVD cover is fabulous. Josuke makes the heart of males and females melt with that look.
