Doffy handled everything shy of Gear Fourth- he tanked Gear Second and blocked Gear Third. When Luffy went Gear Fourth he was kicking Doflamingo around the island in a one-sided beatdown. Big difference.

Luffy hammered him with Gear 4th and he still got back up and had plenty left in the tank to use his fully awakened DF powers, and should have finished Luffy off had he not been the arrogant fker he is an face Luffy's attack head on like every other idiot in the past…
Kaido is on a whole other level. I struggle to see how Luffy could even physically hurt him based on what we've been told.....

Dude, Luffy sent Doflamingo flying from the palace roof top down to the city with a single punch. A few blows later and Doflamingo was blacked out stuck in the side of a mountain. Give credit to Doffy for not going down right away if you want, but he wasn't tanking those hits. Doflamingo was battered and crazed near the end and that's because Luffy had been handing his ass to him.

But yes, Kaido should be much, much stronger. And that's why Luffy will need help.

This chapter…so indeed that hair did belong to Weevil from the last chapter. He looks so artificial, maybe an experiment that went terribly wrong. I think he will have a transformation where he literally slims down.

As i said, for now, but that doesn't mean down the line when he gets stronger that won't change. He's got a long way to before he can take on Kaido and beat him…that includes fully mastering gear 4th....and stronger haki...

I think people are underestimating Weeble.

This is the guy that cut off former Admiral Zephyr's arm and killed his family, a guy who seemingly has no issues hunting down and finishing off New World pirates and towns/cities, a guy with a 480 million bounty, who, is thought competent enough to be a Shichibukai as well as get praise from Admiral Kizaru (i.e. reminds him of a young Whitebeard), and, a person who doesn't seem afraid to confront/fight a Yonko (Blackbeard) and crew. Guy is going to be a beast.

I'm particularly hyped for this development, because I imagine we'll get some kind of Whitebeard flashback/fill in.

I imagine Weevil's momma probably threw herself at WB at some point in the past, wanting part of his perceived fortune and obviously got knocked back.

That will have lead to this current grudge that encompasses both the elimination of WB's sons and the recovery of his amassed treasure.

Or maybe she has a quirk of throwing herself at people, being rejected but just genuinely believing that they're playing hard to get, and they are in fact now lovers.

So now her avarice and genuine belief that she was WB's lover has lead her to this point, manipulating Weevil to fulfill her goals.

Very vague theories at this point obviously.

I don't know what possibility I like more, him being a fake and not knowing, him being a fake and knowing it giving us the biggest hipoctite in one piece ever, or him being the real deal and making whitebeard an hipocrite for having a real family and not keeping them with him.

Oh yeah. It has to be the first option because the other two go against the world that oda has built so far. If he was like 3 I'd believe that whitebeard didn't want him in the ship but he's at least over 18 and bellow 50, I'd say Franky/robin aged.

If he wasn't in impel down, and he's against the wb remnants, where he was during all those years where whitebeard ruled the ocean? Just sailing around? And he's not bidding his identity as zephir recognized him inmediatly.

yes, but we all know that zoan fruits come with different models. We have seen two snake types, two human types, two dog types and at least two bird types. I don't remember if ganford's horse has a bird type or if his bird has a horse type.

Jokebeard has an incredibly unlikeable appearance, but at the very least having a vendetta against Blackbeard is a cool plot point. All in all I'd say this is a good chapter, I got extremely turned off by the crappy exposition scene with Kizaru, but Zou more than enough makes up for it. It makes me wonder though, how deep is the water in the sea Zou is walking? It looks like it's ankle height.

I also strongly believe Sanji and gang are on Zou. The volcano could be some form of blowhole he has on his back like a whale. You can see a shadowy figure behind 1k sunny in chapter 795 and the sea is likewise misty there.

Edit: also, major plus for Robin in that sweater. She looks unusually yummy.

My theory: Whitebeard Jr. is a new experiment of Moria, and has the body of a very string warrior and the shadow of some great ally of whitebeard, making it easier to trick him into believing he is his actual son (he really sees whitebeard as a father). The old lady is lola's mom and is involved with moria somehow, maybe "stole" whitebeard Jr from him, and is lola's mom.

This is now the 16th captain under Whitebeard to fall. It seems Weeble always gets into quarrel with the captains and blows them up along with a city.

! It seems Weeble leaves such a path of destruction and harm to civilians, the marines are wondering if they should allow him to continue with such aggression. His "claim" to be son of Edward Newgate is a strong title, but many doubt its credibility.
! Kizaru tells the marine he's not really too concerned with the truth. Regardless of his heritage, there's one thing of certain of his value... he is a very powerful pirate!
Kizaru continues that he's just like Whitebeard when he was young. Only in his strength though.

As they get closer, Luffy and others are astonished. How can this be an island!? this.... this is literally a gigantic elephant! (zou)!
! Law explains Zou, like it's name, is an island on the back of a massive elephant.
It constantly moves and is never in one spot. Because it's not an actual land, Log Pose cannot guide you to it. He says it's the first time for him here.
! The Elephant is slowly moving away, so Sanji and others must have arrived much earlier.
The samurais mention they heard race of people who despises humans live on Zou.
Law acknowledges, and tells them the Mink tribes live on the island for the past 1000 years.
! Which means... this elephant is at least a thousand years old!

Concerning the new Shichibukai, all those scars and sutures remind me of Gecko Moriah's zombies.
And it is pretty sure now, the Mink tribe are those humanoid animals who didn't eat devil fruits to turn like that, like Bepo, Pekoms, the cat in Hawkins' crew or that reindeer/fox girl Sanji and co. met on Zou.
