About Law "allowing" Doflamingo to sever his arm, if you look at the panel Doflamingo is clearly holding Laws hands closed into fists (not simply holding his wrists) so he can't gesture his fingers in order to shambles away. This strongly implies that Law must be able to wiggle his fingers or move them somehow to use his ability.
Chapter 769: Pirate Bellamy

A fools loyalty is still loyalty, but the way Oda presented us the FB and the content of it was completely weak and does not in anyway justify this sort of loyalty. Disappointing indeed!
Edit: Dofla was shown to be really superior to Law in this chapter.I don't think Luffy will disrespect Bellamy's wish by using Conqueror on him, as smart and comprehensive as Luffy is in this sort of situations, there's only one way out.
kill him to not hurt his pride?
-
So looking at walls it seems that Bellamy tried his Spring Hopper against Dellinger and gotten beaten even with it. Still he had no resolve to fight at that time..
http://z.mfcdn.net/store/manga/106/73-731.0/compressed/k003.jpgThose look like just two cracks on the walls. Probably from his body getting thrown against them.
-
If mindless Doula was a Yu-Gi-Oh card, he would be like 5000/Atack and -10/Defence, lol.
With Bellamy, meeh he's just gonna get CoC'ed. Law seems like he just needs some distraction to put his arm right where it belongs.
No he isn't. He's too strong to be able to be KO'ed by haki…
-
Whats the meaning of this shaking, which happens again according to Luffy? Second Last Page. Is it already the Spring Hopper?
-
@-Pk-:

Maybe Pica trying some new trick.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
But seriously life(Oda) sure love to make Law's life a pain in the ass.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Do y'all think it is possible for Luffy to learn how to do the Spring Hopper or at least his own version of it as a another fighting idea he learns from an enemy/ally? Maybe use it in his fight against Doflamingo for an extra sting? If Luffy added his 2nd Gear to…wait for it...Rubber Hopper...it may be a nice upgrade for him.
I doubt you can bounce like that with rubber.
-
@Miss:

I see 3 and one on the ground.
They look very "concentrated" in center of cracks, it does not look like its from whole body slamming to walls/ ground.

Perhaps Pica is on move again.. Or its shaking again as Law had few moments to catch breath and maybe he cut off another part of palace or Mingo did something again.
Hard to tell, next chapter should clarify. -

maybe its army bantera.
in the begining of the chapter the ground of the flowerfield also seems to wobble -

"Everybody stand back, I got this. I have a PhD on all things cracks and concrete fissures!"
You guys are precious.
-
maybe its army bantera.
in the begining of the chapter the ground of the flowerfield also seems to wobbleI doubt it would affect the palace which is at a safe distance from there.
-
Then who will fight? Luffy vs Doffy and Trebol? Lol. Law is kinda half-dead for me.
Cabbage guys!! Cabbage!! -_-
-
Hopefully Law can still use counter shock with his feet.
-
Is Bellamy still being controlled by Doflamingo's strings?
-
I see 3 and one on the ground.
I think them being at kicking level and not all over the place(ceiling, upper level of wall…) and being so few, it is just the results of Dellinger 'a powerful kicks.
-
I doubt it would affect the palace which is at a safe distance from there.
hm, i thought it'd effect the whole plateau
-
@God:
Is Bellamy still being controlled by Doflamingo's strings?
Nope. Luffy asked to set him free and Doflamingo accepted. Dofla can be understanding when he wants.

I don't see why Diamante would do that. Then the shaking wouldn't have stop in the first place.

16 chars of not even 16 pages

Ok sorry to be so blunt but the moment I saw the title of this chapter I knew this was going to be bunch of nonsense and bullshit.
Bellamy who couldnt move one second ago and was about to move is performing his ultimate move which requires loads of movement not to mention that all he showed is that he is willing to follow his initial dreams and commitment to the end no matter if he in the midst realized that it is wrong. And on all of that I call bullshit or at least crap logic and just needless fight all and all. Law is getting his hand chopped off stuff is serious and what not and now we / Luffy are gonna waste time on this guy for another half a chapter minimum.
So yeah for me the second part of this chapter is total nonsense.I really like Bellamy till this chapter 769. He was a good villain. The chapter where he gets taken out with one punch is one of the strongest moments in One Piece or at least one of my favorite ones. The fact he wanted to redeem himself and get back to Doflamingo, I liked it. But after the Dressrosa arc and what we have seen and him still being like this, its way worse then a wife getting beaten and coming back to her husband.
Its just weak and stupid as shit. So yeah thats that my own view nothing more
-
In the state he's in, I wouldn't be surprised.
Any physical violence from Luffy on Bellamy will kill him.
The only move Luffy has at his disposal that would incapacitate Bellamy without causing him physical harm is CoC.
It makes sense.
So after disproving his strength two years ago, Luffy now decide to disprove his resolve. Seems legit.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Hopefully Law can still use counter shock with his feet.
Sadly his shoes will be in the way.
-
Sadly his shoes will be in the way.
Obviously he can shambles them on and off whenever he wants. Like he did with his gloves last chapter.
-
Law's amputation was just for shock value and just to show how brutal and dangerous a foe Dofla is. If he could use the Ope-Ope no Mi to cure his Amber Lead Poisoning and replace Monet and Caesar's subordinates with animal limbs, he should be able to reattach his arm.
I felt Bellamy's resolution was annoying. I've found his character development absolutely brilliant but at this point the fact that he's still spouting illogical nonsense like this is weak.
-
Get ready for a gomu trampoline or balloon. Luffy can bounce Bella's attack at Doffy and all the power from the spring and bounce of the rubber will equal one strong punch to Doffy, it would work for me.
oh this would be great, like it !
-
This is NOT OK! But it makes sense…
For the sake of defense (and hope), I don't think Luffy's going to let another person die in front of him. Not even Bellamy who's all but trying to do so. And as others have said, there's still Law's crew and whatever business is going on in Zou to take care of. Yes, this seems to be Law's main purpose, and he personally doesn't have anything else for a 'goal', but he has other potential purposes within the story just with that outlying factor.
That's actually right, I'm pretty relieved. If it weren't for those reasons I'm pretty sure Law would die pretty soon, which is sad cause I really liked his interactions with the strawhats. I actually though he could've joined them but his crew would've had no purpose then so guess not. Well, If he doesn't die he'll probably get his hand fixed… With Kidd there would be too many one handed people even though Luffy commenting about it would be hilarious too...
I have a feeling that even though Law has pretty epic devil fruit powers he's physically nowhere near as strong as Luffy and he's emotions are blurring his logic what comes to Doflamingo.
-
I agree, I don't understand Bella's behavior at all. I hope he actually has a plan. Yelling bullshit to take Doffy or Trebol off guard.
I no longer expect Leo to stop Bellamy with his devil fruit. But it's still a possibility. -
Obviously he can shambles them on and off whenever he wants. Like he did with his gloves last chapter.

kill him to not hurt his pride?
Yeah because Bellamy can move like that but can't take a hit That Logic.
-

-
If Bellamy wants to get killed, there's one certainly someone just on top of him who has no problem to kill people.
-
Yeah I guess he is pretty serious as he is still crying.
Too bad he used this technique indoors. I'm sure it would have created a few rainbows. -
Yeah because Bellamy can move like that but can't take a hit That Logic.
Once it bugs you, it can't be "unbuged".
-
Yeah because Bellamy can move like that but can't take a hit That Logic.
That is what Luffy believe.
-
If Luffy says that Bellamy is heavily injured, then he is probably a zombie already.
-
Yeah actually you're right, that's BS!, if he can move like that then he can handle one big punch right in his face without dying.
-
What will make everyone happy in the end: defeated Dofla will need a blood transfusion and the only one being compatible will be Bellamy :-D
-> pride for Bella
-> forever shame for Dofla (plus his Celestial blood tainted) -
Luffy had a lot of reasons to get serious at Dofly, but him being responsible indirectly of Bellamy's death is the most stupid of them.
-
Yeah actually you're right, that's BS!, if he can move like that then he can handle one big punch right in his face without dying.
Well, Luffy does say that he will die if he keeps moving like that.
-
Just because Bellamy is bouncing around like crazy doesn't mean his body isn't really fucked up and he should not be doing that. It's like a guy with all his ribs shattered and both of his legs broken going bungee jumping.
Luffy will probably knock him out via CoC.
-
Which is not absolute truth.
-

Luffy generally hates anybody who treats subordinates like crap.
Though this fight is less about Doula and more about Bellamy himself.

Which is not absolute truth.
I dunno why Bellamy would come up with a move that damages him. It's literally just him jumping around with spring legs. It's only dangerous now because of his current state.
A punch would be way more damaging and dangerous.
-

Not only that, but this is not a flashback.

because he doesn't care about his safety and this move symbolizes the biggest scar of his pirate career.
-
Luffy generally hates anybody who treats subordinates like crap.
The funny thing is that Doflamingo is actually quite nice and caring with his crew. But he goes al tsundere with poor Bellamy just because the guy hurted his pride as a dreamer or something.
Hes just a patethic guy whose motivations are vague and dull, I dont really find his last stand amusing with all the shit that is going on at Dressrosa.
-
Oars Jnr. was a living descendant of the original Oars that Moria used as a zombie.
He was the one that got the Doffy amputation treatment at Marineford.
That was different though.
-
same scene but Gear 3 punch. Cant wait!

CoC no. It would just be so sad to him.
Luffy will take the punch. Its not a killer move lol.
-
Not only that, but this is not a flashback.
Will he actually die? No. But that would still mean Luffy is ready to kill him since Luffy think that is what would happen.
-

Bellamy isnt even a subordinate. Dofla just let him use his symbol, and he didnt even want to do that.
Dofla if anything treats his crew members beautifully. If anyone touched his family, hell is gonna break loose.
-

He did say to Monet to die for him.

Ehh, Dofla ONLY cares about his "family". The other 2000+ underlings could all rot in hell for all he cares. In fact, he seems to actively punish them at times. He doesn't go tsundere for Bellamy, he just royally FUCKS HIM UP at every chance he gets.
The whole thing about Bellamy is that he's shaped his entire Pirate life around his extreme Doflamingo adoration even though, as we've seen today, Dofla didn't care a single bit about him from the very beginning. This day on Dressrosa (or even few hours?) have been a constant kick in the nuts for Bellamy, like, literally (I'm sure Dellinger kicked him in the nuts plenty of times), being physically, mentally and emotionally abused. . .and confused, because suddenly Luffy seems to be the one that aknowledges him and admits he has grown and changed (supposedly, for the better).
By his own admision, Bellamy is an idiot (seriously, he calls himself that during the chapter), and after realising his life has been wrong from the very beginning, he chooses to kill himself at the hands of the only one that, at the moment, seems to not want to treat him like crap. He apparently knows he's already on his last breath (though I doubt Oda'll kill him), so he chooses to die honorably, but like an idiot.
Said it during the spoiler thread' early discussion: people seems to read One Piece wrong at times. I remember people genuinely pissed at Hiruluk because "he put real people in danger! He's a MONSTER!"; at Bellemere because "lolz what an idiot if he had shut the fuck up she would be alive lol lol"; at Dofla's dad because "he deserves every little thing that happened to him because he was naive". Oda is. most of the times, all about emotions, not rationality. His characters admit they're making a mistake, they admit it's not what should be done, but they do it cause they act out of irrational feelings. Bellamy acting irrationally at the worst moment is totally something that has its place in One Piece.

@Uncanny:
same scene but Gear 3 punch. Cant wait!
Are you really retarded?
Luffy is not going to hit him. Gear 3 wtf? Last time bellamy said he couldnt throw a punch. Luffy went tthere with anger and showed bellamy he can throw a punch.
Luffy has nothing to prove. Bellamy is just allowing Luffy to take his life.
Bellamy is gonna hit Luffy because its not gonna do much. Besides, its an oppourtunity to see what the move is.
Then Robin comes.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
He did say to Monet to die for him.
It was a sacrifice.
Did you not see what happened when her sacrifice didnt succeed? Dofla would have killed everyone.
He couldnt do much tbh, I mean he lost Vergo too.
Edit: Also. What would Luffy know about anything?
Luffy is interfering with Laws punishment. Dofla said Law was his crew member and hevhas to suffer for the past. Luffy isnt a pirat crew police.
