Doflamingo said to Corazon about importance of dying for him and how he has to teach it to Law. He simply values his own goals more than his crewmember lives. Sengoku if he had to order a dozen of marines to die in name of greater good surely would order it, he was shown as quite cunning type of person against Whitebeard pirates.
He could have raised him in a way so he dont have to risk his life by getting back to Doflamingo as undercover agent but he seen more profit for society if he uses already broken Rosi as a spy after rising him for few years as marine.
Sengoku aint a saint either imo.
Dont like him too much because he saved one guy and then made him go back and risk death(then die in the end).

Seeing as how she "cleans" the soul of people she washes, it would seem like a good idea to just whitewash anyone who applies to the marines. This Vergo, Morgan, Nezumi mess could've been easily avoided by a simple wednesday wash up.

Well Its just other side of picture so to say. Everything is more complicated of course, I just replied as I didnt changed my mind about Sengoku not being nicest person ever.
He saved Rosi knowing who he is most likely as he knew Rosi has no family anymore.
Its good to give person a purpose for living(revenge on brother) but it was most likely in name of greater goal.
Sengoku has big scale goals and he counted how Doflamingos actions affect world, so for him Rosi life as normal person far from Mingo < Informations that Rosi gotten spying on Mingo and risking life.
Of course Rosinante lived as he wanted, as he was destined to live so to say but still.. Sengoku is as nasty as he has to be for greater good, thus not likable for me personaly(its not his role to be likable of course but to get shit done).

Considering that Marines are supposed to fight, they're always risking their lives. Rosinante is no different, and we know that stopping Doula was a goal he himself decided.
Also, don't forget that Sengoku allowed Rosinante to leave the mission for personal reasons.

Well I think there are still open questions. Why didn't Doffy get a grasp on Law in this ten years? He even opened the cage in this chapter to get him. Law ate that effing fruit, is a D and this marine traitor saved his life.
Either Doffy shrugs that all off and says „Ok, his place is here I like him, maybe Law will come back.“ and is, as seen before with Roci, oblivious of treason, or he fails to find a ten year old boy who hasn't any help/contacts. As an Underworld Boss.
The next FB-chapter has to clarify that or Doffy's not as bright as we believed.

All that I said is that as a Marine he made use of situation and position that Rosi was in.
If he would be parent to him he would protect him and not train him to be a spy + give him DF that is perfect for spying.
Rosi wasnt used, he was helped to take most risky path that he could pick for his life and in the end he saved Law loosing his own life in process.
So all we need now is the meeting 3 years later and we can go back to present. I suppose Drake already have his fruit if he is the one with power.

I actually do think the line "the weak can't chose how they die" should be/should've been adressed by Oda during the flashback. Everything points towards it being done, with maybe a few pages next week, and even if that happens what does seem definitely done is Dofla and Law's meetings till the present. So I don't know if Oda has the intention of fitting that line in there, considering the most appropiate moment was when Rocinante is killed. . .

Truth but we knew that those words are somebodys - imprinted to Law by somebody. It screemed "flashback!" for me.
Now Mingo recalled those words. Maybe its nothing, maybe its connected with something that we are yet to see.

And no, Vergo is not even a consideration. There are many marine bases, larger and smaller. Chances of him stumbling into him a second time is marginal if even that.
Unless you are going to argue that Law is more important then Dressrosa?

In retrospect, I think it would now be best to read through all of Law's actions against Vergo and Doffy during the Punk Hazard Arc. There's far more force behind those scenes now that we know of Law's past.

Corazon's end was sad, but nothing else really? For some reason I expected more.
I'm still also confused about how Doflamingo should be taken. Should he be seen as a stupid spoiled kid who just wasn't open-minded enough? That's dumb. That's also tough because after how they were treated and the attitude he picked up from the Tenryuubito, I can understand why he acted the way he did. Some of the best panels in the flashback so far were the ones of kid Dofla not understanding what's going on/why they are being so harshly treated and that's very understandable for a kid, that and him waking up from the nightmare. The two different paths Corazon and Dofla took are interesting, too. How would Dofla have ended up when he would've gone with the marines like Corazon did? I don't know how I should take his care for his family because in many ways it does seem genuine, but it also doesn't?
There's still many questions: In the end, who's the first Corazon? Is it really going with the "born evil" thing? It feels incomplete. Wasn't there also something about Dofla going back to Mariejoa, but still being rejected? I don't remember some of the details.
It's still a good chapter, though. Nice details/moments with Drake and Tsuru. All of the stuff with Corazon and Law was pretty sad.
