Unless Law remembered something that totally changes everything, there's no reason he'd save Doflamingo. It's been pointed out numerous times already, he was ready to die happily as long as he knew that Kaidou would take Doflamingo down. He didn't care how he goes down. The only reason this could have changed is if he remembered something crucial.

Yes, the coloring makes the theory unstable. But it's not too farfetched to think Pica could alter everything within the palace at his will. And why would Oda waste a panel showing Pica was gone a couple pages before if it didn't mean anything? It could be a number of things. It could be haki related, hypnotism using the string powers somehow, or the simple fact that we are seeing things from Kyros' perspective when in actuality something else entirely is going in in the last couple of hectic pages.

Well it's not just Kyros since Luffy also thinks Dofla is dead.

Pica did went missing in a peculiar moment but I don't see how he could do something faster than anyone in the suit room would notice. Not to mention Buffalo and Baby 5 look concerned too.

Pica might have went to Suit room or he went somewhere else, or he's still there with Zoro but wants to surprise attack him. Going to Suit room and switching Dofla with a stone clone at the last moment makes as little sense as a clone that has emotions. But somehow, I can still see Dofla's head falling into pieces of stones on the ground. It's gonna take one hell of an explanation, though.

He's got a Zoan DF Model: Peregrine Falcon. They are the birds that achieve the highest air speed velocity while plummeting onto their prey. They do a special fall where they fall as fast as possible and then open their wings just meters above the ground.

Now, does this explain why Pell survived? I don't know. But it's at least a fair point to consider and definitely a good argument for the people who say that it wasn't an "ass pull".

Also, explosions create shock waves, and it's not unreasonable to think that he could have "rode" that, just to escape most of the damage.

i have to admit that this sort of utter chaos does make it seem like one on one fights against the Donquixote family wouldn't be capable of being sustained, but i'm still completely adamant that Doffy's going down this arc

i've no idea why people have been constructing every argument in the book for the entirety of Dressrosa in an effort to conclude this 40+ chapter arc without even eliminating the main foe, especially considering Doflamingo isn't even the main course (Kaidou) in this sequence of events

there's chaos right now but upon thinking about it I'm pretty sure Fujitora won't lift a finger against Doflamingo. He definitely wants to, but I think it's really plausible that he will receive a direct call from the WG with orders to stand down and suppress the riots. He would do the latter of his own initiative, but he definitely wants Doflamingo dethroned. Therefore, I could see him encountering Luffy and letting him take Doflamingo, which would really fall in line with his theme of blind justice. Also we really don't know how powerful CP0 is but insofar as they seem to be basically the World Government's deadliest personal defense force, they could easily end up being as strong as a trio of admirals.
I'm pretty confident that this arc isn't going to spiral completely out of Doflamingo's favor like this chapter seems to indicate. He's going to lose pretty much everything by the end, but it won't be a straight descent; there will be momentary ascensions.

Apparently Kaido has more important matters to take care of than to assist his main power up business partner. I am sure he knows what is going on since it is all over the news. It is 10 DD family members up against hundreds of million of the most notorious pirates, mercenaries, other kings, toys that became soldiers again and of course the strawhats. Is Kaido that confident in mingo that he doesn't need to worry?

I Was thinking that Maybe law was aware of their inhability yet to defeat dd and kaido so, If he knows the secret of sugar, his plan could have been only to sabotage dd in order to make kaido upset against him and hope sugar make the yonko forgotten.

I also do think laws face express skepticism, and i think its the real tangible clue that there must be something more to Know about him

All the talk of Doflamingo escaping as a toy just makes me think of how insanely dangerous Sugar really is. She's got the power to make the world forget about a person as well as enslave people for eternity. There's nothing to do to prevent her from turning you into a toy. Unless you know beforehand and just shoot her before she gets in contact. Imagine Luffy facing Sugar, there's absolutely no way he wouldn't get turned into a toy.

Although, maybe at some point it's just no use and the toyified person escapes through sheer power or haki or some bullshit like that.

I know a lot of people who doesn't appreciate Oda's art style, that's why they don't watch/read one piece. A female friend also told me that One piece doesn't have that "handsome, real good looking character designs" that girls like her would have a crush on (even though they're just illustrations) well of course it's a shounen manga if you say. But then there's Togashi's Hunter x Hunter, and Yuyu Hakusho where girls like her noticed Kurapika and Kurama (fox mode). Oda's style is more of stylized cartoony/anime-ish, he's very good in character variations designs. While Togashi is more close to generic anime style but with characters like Hisoka and those Zoldick clan, which sets it apart.

If you want one of the best illustrator in the manga industry then there's Takehiko Inoue's slam dunk and vagabond.

There's far more detail in Oda's work than someone like Togashi. Togashi's work half the time looks like he illustrated it on a napkin on a restaurant and mailed to them. I agree on Inoue though, he's a monster. Some of Oda's art I'm not a fan of either as well to be fair, but the amount of detail just oozes in quality. I remember first seeing Luffy in the strongest primary colors during the first episode and wondered if the author was blind when he illustrated him in a manner which every single designer in the world would laugh at.

I hope the whole Togashi debate isn't because the man started playing Dragon Quest instead of drawing his manga and ended up making really bad art for a while. If you discount the period when he got lazy and started having breaks, his art always looked good to me. The thing about Oda is he pays attention to the background as well. That adds quite a bit of detail to One Piece, if you look at HxH for example there's plenty of blank space behind the characters. To me that's the biggest difference, One Piece's background is often really beautiful and I've come to the understanding that Oda actually spends time drawing parts of the background as well (living things).

That doesn't take anything away from Togashi as long we're strictly discussing whose art looks better. Togashi's characters are well drawn, at least in my opinion.

Anyway, it is one of the few times I actually know the Why but not the how of an Event. (why law, if he actually did, "saved" Doffy but not quite certain on how since his chains should be Sea stone)

Though, I think it is quite obvious why Law did what he did (assuming he has) : He wants to Doffy to SUFFAH!!!
Why would Law allow doflamingo to get away with all of his doings with just a quick decapitation? Oh No No No! He wants him to really suffer: Letting Luffy to go at him (and probably trying to fight him again, though less likely), suffer his plans and kingdom, that he has constructed for 10 years, painfully and swiftly crumbling, Fuji having a go at him too possibly, WG's persecution against him, Kaido's Damn wrath (that was hyped for some time), and probably some kingdoms attacking him too.

Not to mention that the "decapitation" probably has more than one purpose:

1. Keep Doffy Alive. {which might include 2 sub reasons: a. to suffer in the future from the mentioned above ;;; and/or ;;; b. possibly tell him something important about cora / Kaido}
2. Symbolize and emphasis the climax that everything Doffy has built is crumbling on his head - like a decapitation.
3. Purely to humiliate Doflamingo.

Dofla was worrying, sweating, talking and recognizing old enemies. How does any kind of clone make sense.
I read about possible coloring from Jora, Dofla moving the clone with his ability and even using ventriloquism to make his stone puppet talk.

It is very possible (and personally i think inevitable) that Kyros will fight Diamante since he killed his wife (and Becca can't fight after a concussion-ous hit to the head) and it will be the Old Hero of the Coliseum vs the new one (Diamante). Though the Coliseum is essentially destroyed so for the fight between the heroes of The Coliseum will have less meaning.
But without a doubt Luffy will fight Mingo.

Practically yes you are completely right. But, So far we know Law has quite the grudge against Doula (13 years) so with that he probably wants to go big on Doffy's defeat. He most likely wants to enjoy Doffy's suffering and extend it which is a bit arrogantly dangerous of him. Like in "The Count of Monte Cristo": Sure Edmond (main character) could just go and kill all that have did injustice to him, but no, he meticulously plans a grandiose and spectacular Vendeta for many years, that will cause each (or some) of his enemies the strongest pain that he think they deserve.

I don't see how Law could kill Doflamingo at that point. He was barely moving and his power was almost completely 0. He just lied to Doflamingo on the same chapter telling him that he doesn't care at all for the Strawhats.. after using what's left of the little energy to save their lives.

then why did he lied?
he had no reason whatsoever to tell a lie to doflamingo…dofla was already going for the strawhats anyway because they were targeting the factory,so it didn't matter if law was allied with them or not,and law was already fighting him...so that lie doesn't protect either law or the strawhats,it has no purpose.
also you are forgetting about the point were sanji noticed that law cared more about doflamingo than accomplish their main objective

Untill he remembered. We don't know how law is affected by the hoby fruit, he could have been remembering cora out of some notes or pictures, but doesn't have memories of her (him?), but now he wants to know something out of Dofla. Or could be someone else.

Mingo might know very well how does the Ope fruit works, and was aware that while his hands are keept tied he can't do much, like if you tied foxy, sugar, or himself, so he didn't bother with seastone. While shambles or any other can be dangerous, law has been consistently shown needing some movements to activate them, but Room activates easier, palm down, done.

I'm not sold on the Stone Clone theory (that would fall hard, as they can see colors), the Puppet Mingo (It creates a layer way too big of complications over when it was him, and when it was the puppet), the he'll tank it and reatach it (… please no... Wapol and Futurama notwistanding, this isn't something to be glosed over, decapitation should mean death), String Logia (eh, was he ever damaged before?), and Illusion user (Just out of the blue? Oda would have set this up)

I honestly expected some sort of reattachment with his strings. Maybe he can do this with all his limbs?

I'm liking this Law theory though, and it seems pretty likely. Probably some info on Kaidou that can be gleaned, I still believe Law's goal is to become the Pirate King.

However, at the very least there's no way Dofla died. After years of build-up, Oda is a better storyteller than that.

If Law only cared about DD, he would have brought 2 of Sanji, Zoro and Luffy instead of Ussop and Robin but that's another one of the plot points that have left me completely scratching my head wondering what the fuck Oda is doing this arc.

law wants the factory down anyway,since it is his plan B…detsroy that,and if he fails,it's kaido that is gonna kill doflamingo....also,why zoro or sanji,or any of the mugiwara should follow him in his revenge attempt?they want kaidou,doflamingo is just a step..actually the original plan didn't included fightining him in the first place..he should have been busy with getting caesar back and escaping from the navy because he lost his shichibukai status.

he still needed the strawhats to act accordingly to the plan,so betray them and let doflamingo kill them was not an option,since the other members of the crew would have stopped what they were doing the moment they lost contact with whose was on the ship.

i think there was enough going on to keep his mind busy and allow kyros to take him by surprise..his expression and what he said are not the ones of someone who is sure that he's safe.

also..how do you know how fast kyros slash was?it's not like we see speed in a manga…we saw the moment before and the one after the slash.
also ,both him and rebecca are incredible speedsters,that much was already established during the arc,so I really don't see why you would consider kyros' attack "slow"

i think ti was both actually,probably in a normal 1 vs 1 dofla would have been able to dodge that..but with the chaos provided by the loss of "10 years of effort",and probably all the memories of the dozens of enemies he now remember are in his island,kyros was abel to shorten the distant and attack him before he could react

I'm liking this Law theory though, and it seems pretty likely. Probably some info on Kaidou that can be gleaned, I still believe Law's goal is to become the Pirate King.

However, at the very least there's no way Dofla died. After years of build-up, Oda is a better storyteller than that.

Well whatever it was, we'll be expecting a full retaliation from an Angry Shichibukai. I really hate to see the 1 legged Kyros getting whooped to fuel Luffy's rage.

There might have been, but i never implied that his attack was slow just that Law may have been either slightly faster, equal or slightly slower than Kyros' attack.
If i am correct Doflamingo noticed someone was coming, he was just trying to figure out who he was, once he realised he was beheaded.

And doesn't Doflamingo always have that reaction?
