We don't know the format of the tournament yet.
Likely it will be either 2 semi finals then a final to decide who will take on Diamante, or a single 4 way match to decide the same thing.

Arent you forgetting about Pica, Trebol; their respective subordinates and the present ADMIRAL here? on paper the odds do favour Doflamingo (wich in turns makes the SHs the underdogs, wich will make their ultimate victory more satisfactory)

She didn't dodge, she got hit and, as we saw last chapter, passed out quickly. The only reason why she is not out cold like the others is because Hakuba's attack hit her helm, although is highly possible that she directed the attack to the helm herself as we see she could perceive Hakuba movements to some extent while the others can't.
Still, if she didn't passed out, Hakuba would most likely keep attacking, he just went away because all the targets were put down (including her).

trebol's job is to protect sugar, Pica is the wild card since we don't know where he is or what DD has him up to. Fuji said he would go with DD and see what he had to say which makes him unpredictable.

Here's a thought. Cavendish is now slated to get turned into a toy, but what if only he gets forgotten, and not Hakuba? Would that tip Bastille off to the fact that something weird is going on with the losers?

elizabello was not the strongest guy in the ring..without his king punch he was a "naked king",so it's not like defeating him adds any more legitimacy to bartolomeo's win…and i'm totally fine with that,that's how battle royale are supposed to work..it's not the strongest who win,but the one who survives

Cavendish incapacitated himself through his move. Being asleep when berserking is not a random occurence, its a condition of the move, and in this tournament format, its basically a Self Destruct mechanism…which Rebecca endured. Had she been knocked out Cavendish wouldn't have won.

As a former world noble it is possible that he knows something about "the true history" and "The will of the D" that the rest of the world doesnt, so both theories seem viable to me.

Thats speculation though. And Sabo clearly complimented Rebecca of dodging the attack through her own strength, and we see from both Acilia and the female corpse in the flashback that Hakuba has no problem murdering women; if anything, by going for the head, he was tougher on Rebecca than anyone else. A subconscious reaction to her "popularity" perhaps?

What? She barely survived one hit, if his evil mode would last longer she'd be dead. Also he was shown to be much stronger, if he hadn't fell asleep he could win normally. She was VERY lucky that all she had to do was survive one attack and nothing more.

Yeah but I doubt he'd do this on purpose. He was unlucky that it triggered on bad moment, and so Becca was lucky so she only had to survive one attack and not fight with everyone normally including Cavendish.

Let me turn that around for you: Cavendish was not worthy of victory because he was only able to hit rebecca once before falling asleep, and was not strong to knock her out in his HYDE mode. If his "Strong mode" has a time/energy limitation thats his fault, you cant blame rebecca.
Maybe she would be dead if his "Evil mode" would have lasted longer. the point here is that it DIDNT. get it?

Yeah, that part of the post was speculation, but we all know how those kind of berserk second personalities work in fiction, so even though it is speculation, I think it is almost guaranteed to be right (that if Rebecca managed to stay up after that attack, Hakuba wouldn't vanish and would keep attacking her until she was down).
But, yeah, I give the fact that it was not luck alone. I am pretty sure that Rebecca was fast enough to notice his attack, notice she wouldn't be able to dodge it, and then make it so the attack would hit her head, that was armored, instead of any other naked spot. It is speculation just as that, but I am pretty sure she managed to minimize the damage by making the attack hit the helm. That's her merit.

Sorry, I'm still as surprised as I was in the spoiler thread. But eh…..it was a technical win....technically. Cavendish's berserk form (who has the most unsettling face ever) was a frigging powerhouse, but as Bastille explained, such a boost isn't good for elimination matches. And in a different circumstance....yeah, "Hakuba"...would've beaten everyone.
But would the actual Cavendish? Uh...dunno. Does this revelation lower the significance of Rebecca actually winning? Er.....to a fault? Rebecca was a passive fighter to begin with, and if Hakuba's sleep condition wasn't there.....
I suppose I wanted more out of Cavendish's power, but I'm satisified what I got. And again, for Rebecca.....well, a win is a win. It's not like she ran and hid in a corner while everyone else wailed on each other. Phooey.
(So now it's Burgess vs. Sabo vs. Barty vs. Rebecca. Hol-y hell.)
Doflamingo speaks with King Riku (if you ask me, that's not the best way to keep Law in check), the dwarves continue their assault, and Luffy/Zoro/Kinemon continue moving on.

"it" seemed to enjoy the carnageThen the trigger for the change should have been the smell of blood, anger, excitement of simple the adrenalyn rush (he didnt change when he was mad at Luffy, though)
But him falling asleep allowed Rebecca to win without doing anything, so that turns the whole Cavendish character in just a deus ex machina that Oda used for this one time.

I mean, Rebecca was being attacked without rest by Suleiman, then Cavendish appears out of nowhere between them and falls asleep. It seemed to me that he was trying to "save" Rebecca by calling Hakuba out… even though he ended up attacking her as well.
Also, Cavendish is probably aware of Hakuba existence, otherwise how a personality that only appears to attack and vanishes as soon as it is over would have a known name?
