At least is Saturday, so I/we don't have to put up with it a full week
One Piece Chapter 747: Executive Officer Pica

Barriers?? I said Cabbage.
My bad mate, I was just thinking of Barto at the time so I just went with it. That being said, now I find myself wanting to see the slimey chap going against Barto. Wouldn't be averse to seeing more of Cabbage though.
Looking forward to the fights, I've really found myself liking the Doffy family.

I've always been a fan of the doffy family. they can actually fight and has such hax powers. more hax than the crocodile baroque works.

For me, their powers are incomparable with the baroque works

does anyone of you agree for diamante vs kyros

@Buggy:
Just saw this & thought I share lol
Akainu Vs. Aokiji
Ah, if only real world physics worked in One Piece…
But, a cool video nonetheless.

thanks for sharing
Like previous friend stated, if only… There is subjectivity in One Piece too, or so it seems. As in it might be possible for Sabo to grew temperatures to burn Akainu's lava or magma, dunno which one.
By the way I saw another sword talk again and like the last time i did get to see one I want to ask:
Does swords matter now? I mean after introducing haki you can fight with a stick too. Or why do you need sword? I mean can't you fight a sword with your arm through Haki? (I'm exaggerating some questions) When the series is about to be finished what will Zoro's advantage with his end-game swords against Sabo's pipe?
Maybe it's an technique thing which allows it's user to pull of strong techniques and not raw boost? Or it adds to one's swordsman ship skills like it would in a rpg-setting? Oda didn't mention about swords importance so far, only mentions... Wano Kuni is coming on the other hand.
Just trying to find a use that would still provide an attribute.

one of his swords is cursed :ninja:
-
one of his swords is cursed :ninja:
One's curse is another's luck, but yeah. It's a sub-plot but fighting skill wise it didn't seem to contribute anything special. But subjectivity and personality of the swords are might be important maybe since Zoro manifest 'things' through Asura.

It was funny to see how this guys started a discussion from your mistake.

Don't be silly. I'm almost offended that you'd think that. I didn't mean that he has to cross his fingers to create barriers, but that they activate on his will. Which means they don't just activate automatically to intercept every object coming towards him. Which means he can be caught by surprise, like it happened with Bellamy most likely. You know, Hack coming behind his back and holding a monologue - Barto's barrier ready. Bellamy catching him when he thought he was down - barrier not so ready.
Bartolomeo was trolling Bellamy. He pretends to be in trouble and then laughs. That's what he does all the time. If Barto really wanted to, he could have shielded his entire body. Bellamy never really got past his barrier. And he couldn't have gotten caught by surprise since he had the same barrier up the entire match, even when fighting Bellamy. He didn't think Bellamy was down. That's why Bellamy was badly injured to begin with. He most likely lifted the barrier himself.
-
Does anyone else feel some kind of relief after the last three or four chapters?
One Piece has been kind of underwhelming for me for some time but with the whole Doffy chemistry and waiting-to-come flashbacks I'm pumped for it once again. Addition of Sabo really contributed to it, too. But his face design seems a bit bland for an important character to my taste. Hope it grows.
-
Not really. 16 chars.

does anyone of you agree for diamante vs kyros
He did call him out. Maybe with the help of both Rebecca & Riku? The family that takes down Diamante together…
On the basis of grudges and call-outs I think we'll see Violet vs. Gladius and Bellamy vs. Dellinger as well.
I'm starting to hope we see a lot of he Colosseum competitors get involved now. For some reason Usopp vs. Shaman Mummy appeals to me. -

Still better than power-level talk, so I'll take it

I really like the fact that he cares for his crew quite a lot, unlike other villains. Probably why I do like him and his crew members. It's a nice change to be honest.

I prefer to rely on what I've actually seen in manga. Stuff you're talking about is just fiction. Come back when you have proof that Bartolomeo had his barrier up entire match.

Wat???. No one could get near him the entire match. When people tried they hurt themselves. Every one of the spectators wondered why no one could get near him. Besides, I fail to see how this matters when we know for a fact that he had it up when Bellamy tried to attack him. There was no possible way for Bellamy to catch him off guard considering that Barto was staring dead at him. Like I said, he most likely lifted it before Bellamy grabbed him because he's a troll. Barto has trolled people by having them think that he's in trouble when he really isn't. He did the exact same thing to Hack and he did the same exact thing to the Kings Punch despite Blocking it with utter ease the next page. =/

because he wants to be in mingo's ship..

does it make sense? its just my opinion btw -

Yes I know why, I also know what it's gonna happen in chapter 999 which is gonna get published the first week of 2019, but I Can't say anything, I'm not allowed to spoil people.

does it make sense? its just my opinion btwDoflamingo's family history hasn't been revealed yet.
It's unknown which side Bellamy's going to throw in with yet. He knows just how badly Dofla treated him now so he might decide to go completely against him, like Brownbeard did Caesar.
On the other he hasn't shown any dream or ambition other than to serve Dofla so he may decide to stick to that rather like Ging did for Don Krieg. I still think he'll take out Dellinger first, just to prove a point.Hadn't thought of it before but Bellamy has something in common with Barto; they're both fanboys for other pirates. Bellamy being played more for pathos than humour.
There's really a lot of themes of hero worship running through this arc. -
I don't why but I feel like birdcage is Bellamy's nightmare, we know that Doflamingo used it in North Blue, so may be, just may be Bellamy's family were killed inside of birdcage 13 years ago and Doflamingo appeared and took him in since he was the "only" survivor and was still a child. Bellamy needs something strong to make him go against Doflamingo's ideals, so this might be it.

so it may be possible to take down dellinger
cause dellinger beat him like a pulp in the past chapter i think that chapter is when sabo is revealed. -
Yeah there is alot of worshipped Heroes/Legends in this story. You had the whole usoland thing, and you migh add Kyros to the list. Im sort of guessing that he will resume his previous position as the captain of the city guards, and lead the citizens charge against the dofla family culminating in a fight with Diamantee.
The previous Hero of the colluseum from Rikus reign avenges the death of his wife by the hands of Doflamingo executive and the current colluseum "hero" himself. Its fitting.
-
if bellamy turns his back against mingo he will be the x factor I don't know why but I got a feeling for this one.
then why is burgess is out of the scene?

There's really a lot of themes of hero worship running through this arc.Last time we saw Bellamy, he was still claiming to be loyal to Doula. It would be a weird transition if he had changed sides off-screen.

That sounds more like Law's story.
Bellamy probably doesn't have any deep connection with Doula.

It seems that way to you though, Bellamy has a huge admiration for Doflamingo and I don't think it came because he saw Doflamingo on a news paper and got goosebumps, so there has to be something deeper in there.

Ok, but I doubt it has anything to do with Birdcage considering that's already Law's thing.
-
Both from North Blue, Law knows birdcage… Probably they are from the Same Island, that would probably be the best time to Show us not only Laws past with Doffy but also Bellamy Story...
-
Hi
I'm new in the Forum
I have a question outside the text
U best site Japanese descend News One Piece

What? Just because they're both from North Blue, they have to be connected somehow?
-

Yeah, he wasn't injured at all he just fell with everyone else. I'm guessing since he can't get the DF anymore he left or is trying to, I wonder why Dofla wouldn't be afraid of pissing of Blackbeard? Also you'd thing someone like Dofla would know Big Mam is after CC as well, he could potentially piss of 3 Yonkou which is 1 more than Luffy.
-

Burgess got a big rock to the head during the arena collapse. Probably taking a little time for him to walk it off. He was also fighting under the name Mr. Store so maybe Dofla didn't know, though that does seem sloppy work by his intel team. He's definitely a wild card here.
Looks like Dofla has only been working with CC since the latter was thrown out of the Navy for blowing up Punk Hazard (4 years ago?). It's not likely he had Vegapunk's breakthrough in artificial DFs before then.
CC had the protection of the Navy and then went off the radar on PH so it's entirely possible Dofla was unaware of anything between he and Big Mom in the past.
Dofla plans well with the information he has but he's already been blindsided by the revolutionaries and Tontatta so I really like the idea he's in deeper with the Yonkou than he realized. (And if he took out Luffy that'd put a big target on him from Shanks, so all 4!) -
Bellamy's flashback is just as important and relevant for the series as brownbeard's flashback.
-

Not that I don't agree, but I guess Bellamy and Law having similar circumstances would….bring the former back into the spotlight of things?

I dunno if Bellamy is supposed to have any sort of major role considering how out of focus he has been during this arc (10-11 chapters where he was featured. 16 chapters since he disappeared).
Heck, The "I'm on boat" team has gotten about as much screentime as him and they didn't even get to step in Dressrosa.
He just feels like Doula's own Bartolomeo.

Well, to be fair, the entire arc's been out of focus.

Bellamy is representative of the differences between Doflamingo and Luffy. He is absolutely going to play a vital role in Dofla's eventual downfall.

he might become the next SH crew member! He is going to be like nico robin "I have no where else to go" and then Luffy is going to be like "ok then, you may join" and everyone will be like "whaaaaat"

I would like to see it happening for the WTFs, but his fighting style is too similar to luffys.
-
Hahah bellamy will never join, tahts too rediciolous after jaya. But he will become ally

That is the reason we want it to happen though!

That's ain't shit anymore

But it'd just be so incredibly dumb.
Let's do it.
-
After Bellamy, Arlong will join too. :ninja:
-
-
not sure if it's been mentioned or not, but cnet128 uploaded his translation for 746 today so we'll probably get powermanga scans soon.
-
Bellamy's power is too similar to Luffy's, don't think he'll be a good fit to join imo
-
You know, I have no idea what Oda is planning with Kin'emon being at the scrapyard.
We know Kanjuro escaped already, so what's the point of having him down there?
