I think doffy is not the final boss this arc…it will be hakuba :ninja:
Official Dressrosa Thread

Obviously the Sunny team will come back to Dressrosa and the match ups will be:
Brook vs Lao G (they will have a rap battle)
Chopper vs Dellinger
Nami vs Monet
Sanji vs Vergo
Rest of the officers will fight Heart Pirates & the samurai -
So we have at the moment:
-Robin & Cavendish & Barto vs Gladius (obviously they have to split up or some more Execs have to join in)
-Franky vs Senor Pink (final fight)
-Don Chinjao vs Lao G (could be the final fight)
-Hajruddin vs Machvise (dont know, I can see Machvise winning here)
-Sao vs. Baby 5 (could be final, I dont see Baby 5 getting another larger fight)
-Dellinger ???? (I cant remember who was his last opponent, wasnt that Sao as well?)That would mean that either Dellinger or/and Machvise could join Gladius potentially.
I also am not really sure if Law will fight Trebol. Maybe Law and Luffy will both fight Dofla or he takes him out (triggering his flashback) and Trebol could face Cavendish or Barto. And then we still have Burgess somewhere and maybe Oda will give him some hype back by defeating one of the Execs or one in the anti-Dofla group. One thing for the rest of the Diamante Army is that their abilities haven't been well-explained yet, (Dellinger, Machvise and Lao G).
And you know the rule of fiction, if a character has abilities that haven't been explained yet, they're plot-protected until that happens.

True, but it's more like the rule of One Piece.

Who says Lao G has any powers? He has been nothing but a martial artist so far.
-
The only one I can see coming for Gladius' aid is Baby 5, but only because she's from the same team as him. And teamwork is supposedly one of their strengths.
Lao G was actually keeping up with Chinjao.
Most likely not for long. But he seems kinda though.

Chinjao is overrated

The first character to give Luffy a good fight since the timeskip is overrated?

By good fight, you mean he didn't immediatly fall over?
-

They looked pretty even for a few chapters, though admittedly it cut away a lot.

Chinjao didn't even wound Luffy. Just made him tired.

Do you think we will learn in this, what happened to Bellamy at Skypia? We only know he lost some men and after it he was looked like a maniac after Luffy asked him, if he has done something to his friends on Skypia.
So what do you think happened up there… I can't believe Bellamy has done something so cruel up there or Wiper would kick his ass... And looking at the cover page Wiper looks completely fine and More badass as ever.... Still Bellamy was able to steal one of the golden pillars.
And what happened to Sarkies? Is he one, who Bellamy lost up there?
-
My guess is that Bellamy did lose some of his crew on the way up to Skypia. Instead of using the knock up stream, he choose the another method mentioned by Gan Fall. IIRC he said that you'll definitely lose crewmembers by this method.
And about the golden pillar, I really think he just was oblivious to the fact that they actually wanted him to take it.

I can picture it now, Bellamy seating on the deck of the Sunny go while telling the story of how he reached Skypea after getting his world reshapped by a single punch from his now Captain and future Pirate King Strawhat Luffy.
I'm pretty sure that Bellamy didn't stole anything, he probably got it at the Strawhats expense and became buddy with those guys thank to the Strawhats.
Bellamy lost his whole crew on his way to the future land lol
-
I wish the One Piece world had a mechanism for trading or extracting devil fruits without killing the current owner. Such a thing could really help Bellamy.

You rather remove his Devil Fruit so he can join than placing your bets on Oda, he can make this work, the only property the have in common is elasticity, Bellamy cannot even make his limbs grow, he can probably do a different version of G2 or Sky Walk but that's it

I'm sure Oda could make it work, I just don't see myself ever being too excited by Bellamy's fruit. I don't hate it, I just don't feel anything about it. I like Bellamy though.

I think the conversation went "So Luffy was right about the Sky Islands" and the Skypieans said "Oh, you're a friend of Luffy? Here, have this". Bellamy would have said "Oh cool, this'll get me back in the good books with Dofla" and Sarquiss and the crew went "You mean the psycho who mind controlled us into fighting each other? Uh, no thanks bro, let us off here".
-

Oda designed Bellamy with the fruit in mind. It's pretty much the most important part of his design.
I believe that's the case with most DF users, or anybody with a quirky ability.

No please don't talk about Bellamy joining the straw hats. His redemption story is stupid, he was a massive asshole and completely unlikeable as a villain. His emo Q.Qing isn't gonna help me forgive him either.

Bellamy was a great villain and his redemption story is wonderful.
I'm a sucker for reformed villains though. -

Bellamy go to sky. Bellamy lose crew. Bellamy good now.
Also, he answered "Who knows" when Luffy asked if he did anything to the sky islanders. That's Shonen equivalent of "I murdered them all, spit on their graves and then clubbed bunch of baby seals to death on my way back".

Jajajajaja you trolling right or do you actually believe that Bellamy can win a fight against the Sky Islanders?

Why not? Everything in One Piece is a slave to the story. If Bellamy winning fits Oda's story, he will make him win.

True, but joking aside, we know that it didn't go that way even though that will explain why he brought the golden pillar down to the Blue Sea:ninja:
-

The cover stories show that the Skypieans are fine. That was just Bellamy being a dick, it's part of his character.
-

He could just have done them a big ass favour/conned them into believing he was gonna bring it to Luffy. On that note, I think the possibility of him beating somebody like Wiper, would be unfathomably low, before or after time skip.

This chapter made me wonder how far above Chinjao Doflamingo is. Luffy broke through Chinjao's Haki, but Doffy broke through Luffy's. On the other hand, Chinjao was considered a worthy foe for Garp in his prime.

Wedon't know if Garp was in his prime. And he one-shotted Chinjao.
And Chinjao didn't have his drill head when facing Luffy.
-
Hum maybe, my interpretation of the fight is completely different. For me they both went all out with a single attack to confront their strengths. And Garp won. Kind of like Zoro vs T-Bone.
Since Garp needed a training for this fight. I can hardly consider Chinjao as a random pirate.
Now he is old but he still has CoC and the holy drill.

This is Oda's fault, he's been playing Luffy like a sucker.

Or Luffy is generally outclassed..
Luffy saw the hit coming when Dofla was coming at him. He had CoA up, but he smashed through it and got a clean hit on him and also restraining him after.
Speed + Strength can outclass anyone if X is good.

There's far more to battle than stuff like speed and strength. This is not a videogame.
Oda has to make Doula look good, just like he did with Croc and Lucci.
-
I think Oda portrayed Chinjao as a bit too exceptional (+500 M bounty, Conqueror Haki, strong CoA, connections to Garp, who apparently trained to defeat him by punching mountains to dust, at his top he is able to split gigantic, unbreakable ice landscapes with a headbutt. . . .) just to justify him being Luffy's final rival during block C. Now he has this by all means outstanding fella who's a force to be reckoned with and who should duke it out with the big guys, but he can't have that much individuality at the moment cause the Colosseum guys outside of Barto and Caven are now a uniform "single unit", fighting the Dofla Family members that are below Elite officers. . .so Chinjao had to take a, maybe momentary, maybe permanent nerf.
Maybe when the focus goes to these guys, we'll see Chinjao making the difference in battle, but again, it seems Oda wanted to portray them as a single unit working to support the "individuals", Caven, Barto, Luffy, Kyros. . . .and so far it seems Lao G is able to go at it against him.
Or maybe he's just tired and injured right now. It's been one hell of a day and he's definitely old, so, who knows. . . . .
-

I think Luffy thought he could defend the kick but it was much more powerful than he thought. Lesson learned for him.

I know teres more than speed and strength. I was taking those aspects from that scene.

Well a what if situation about team Sanji… maybe it is just because I'm depressed of not seeing them for that long time.
But what do you think will happen... I can't see Sanji and Co surviving a fight, if there will be one. The rest is too weak and Sanji can't stand a chance against both Tamago and Pekomz... And we still do not now if Big Mom is there or not.
What do you think will happen... Will they simply Coup de Burst the fuck outta there? If yes, there won't be no reason to counter fire first. Will Jinbe appear taking the spotlight away, will Nami use Lola's Vivre Card if the theory of her being Big Mom's daughter or maybe Sanji will "sacrafize" himself...
Why I think that? Sanji is a cook and a world class one. Big Mom loves sweats... Maybe he will relaize that he, once again, failed and sacrafized himself to let the pther escape, while he will be captured.... What will be more interesting to see, what will happen if Nami and Co actually think he died... Luffy would go ape shit. And well his Punk Hazard cigarettes had "death" on it after all...
If we look futher maybe Wano will play a role as well... Seeing as Sanji risked his and Nami's life to save Kinemon... Maybe Kinemon will get the Wano people out for help after telling his story about Sanji and the SHs.

Sanji for new dead character

Yea, even Pekoms alone would be hard, but there is Tamago too who might easily have over 500 million since his wasn't showed.
Coup de Burst is automatically out since it serves no purpose.
I am personally hoping they get saved by third party so that Sanji and Nami can go back to Dressrosa and fight Monet and Vergo, but it will most likely end in Sanji sacrifice and will be potrayed as a parallel to Bentham saving them at Arabasta.
Yes, If they think Sanji died nothing can stop Luffy and Jinbe's dilemma will be even greater. The already introduced samurai will come, but I don't really see Wano getting involved with Big Mom if they have trouble with Kaido already. Rather, wouldn't they outright murder Kin'emon for even suggesting to help pirates?
-
So, what do we think Law's most likely role in this fight will be? Fighting Trebol? Losing to Doffy and being avenged by Luffy? Beating Doffy WITH Luffy?
-

Uh, why Monet and Vergo?
-
I don't think Monet or Vergo are in any condition to fight. I'd rather they just be cover story material, as it's more fun that way.
-
Uh, why Monet and Vergo?
I would suppose rematch for Sanji and the heat ball affecting Monet back in Punk Hazard.

Doula doesn't even know if they're still alive.
Really, so many other people they could fight, why suddenly Monet and Vergo?

Not sure about this exact scenario, but Sanji being captured and making sweets for BigMom so she doesn't kill him sounds plausible and might happen in the future.

I really do not see how that is relevant at all. They are fiercely loyal to him and failed, so of course they would want to fix their mistakes as quickly as possible. Both cards they lost back at Punk Hazard are also with Nami and Sanji.
And the fact that those two didn't go all out and weren't taken out by Straw Hats either also speaks for them having another fight. I can't see Nami fighting Jora either… -

I suppose it both tell us about them being alive and redeem Sanji for his precedent loss.
