One more question. Where did the one in one million come from?
Since I doubt the WG keeps a Haki census going, it's probably just the common descriptive phrase used to say "rare".

He's a Paramecia like Mr. 3 or Kalifa.

paramecia, he couldnt transform his body into poison, he was just coat himself with it. luffy can hit him but at the same luffy got poisoned.

@Medical:
This is more a technical question than a One Piece question, but if you're posting a page from a chapter as a reference or to answer someone's question, how do you post the page itself? I've always just linked to them because I'm not sure how to directly post the page.

The way i understood it it's "one in a Million have the willpower to unlock it".

Would you guys say Kidd and Law have the potential to unlock CoC. I'm not sayting they will or they won't, but do they?

Myea, I'd say so. They both seem to have the qualities.

Was Ace a criminal ?
What was his crimes? And did he kill innocent people?
We never saw both Ace or Luffy killing innocent people
So why did Garp said in the war
" i have no sympathy for criminals, but for my family, i do"
How come Ace is a criminal ? can anyone explain please? -

How come Ace is a criminal ? can anyone explain please?Though his entire backstory isn't completely shown, I'm pretty sure Ace didn't kill innocent people. He was just a pirate, but the kind of pirate that just has fun without hurting innocents. His only crime is being a pirate.
Can someone explain to me how Blackbeard's fruit also allows him to control gravity? I didn't quite understand the mechanics.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kid already had it by now.
-

Well Chinjao's words at the start of this chapter suggest that the main candidates for Pirate King are those with CoC, Law and Kid are definitely candidates so I wouldn't be surprised if they have it.

When will Luffy officially (I mean in the regular series) get a trench coat like all the Pirates Captain? :p
-
Can someone explain to me how Blackbeard's fruit also allows him to control gravity? I didn't quite understand the mechanics.
It's not that his fruit allows him to control Darkness and Gravity as two separate entities. He said that his darkness is like infinite gravity, because he can suck everything in and such.

I would but I don't know how to explain it better either, sorry.

Blackbeard's fruit allows him to suck /pull anything and everything into/out of a black hole (Do you know what a black hole is?) while Issho's fruit allows him to control gravity as he pleased, increment or decrease gravity around him, incrementing the gravity in a certain area can make him pull an object or crush an enemy (ie: the meteorite or the bar), If he were to decrease gravity around himself it will give him the ability to float (be light like a feather).
I'm on my phone, so I can't go in details at the moment

Yes I know what a black hole is… I just don't understand why Blackbeard has access to them. Black holes have gravity so strong that the light that hits it isn't reflected which makes it completely dark. Darkness is the absence of light but that doesn't mean darkness = black holes.

You just answered your own question also don't apply too much logic into some stuff that Oda does

I didn't answer my question… What you bolded isn't an answer to my question at all, it's actually a counter argument to your answer... absence of light doesn't grant dark hole powers. I'm not applying logic, I'm just having trouble understanding Oda's logic because he did explain it, I just didn't understand it. If he left it unexplained, I wouldn't question it, but he made the effort to give Blackbeard an explanation for his power. Saying "there's no logic in a fantasy shonen" is just a cop out in this case.

Teach is pretty much a singularity. Darkness would just be a means to make it a visible logia, and it appeals to his image as "evil".

Yes, you did answer your own question and is not a counter to my answer ether, this is what I bolded "makes it completely dark. Darkness is the absence of light" blackbeard's fruit is darkness itself, a darkness where light doesn't reach meaning a black hole, there's not light in a black hole, so you did answer your own question and how does that counter his black hole from sucking/pulling anything and everything there is?
-

You're not understanding me. My question isn't "why can Blackbeard's black hole power can suck everything in". It's "why does Blackbeard have black hole powers in the first place". Absence of light does create darkness but that doesn't create black holes. If you have a room without windows and doors that is completely sealed, there is no light inside. It would be total darkness inside but that doesn't make it a black hole. TRUE, black holes don't have light because it can't be reflected due to a black hole's gravity, but darkness doesn't constitute a black hole.

Well buddy Blackbeard darkness does create a black hole and If you want an explanation for that, you will probably have to contact Oda himself or ask the must Knowledgeable person in this forum about it (which by the way is no MK but he might be able to give you something)

Without trying to over think it. My justification of it is to think of his logia-type as a spacial vacuum. While it is called the darkness fruit it's properties seem to be more to do with density manipulation. I assume that when in logia state he increases his bodies density (increase mass, decrease volume) and therefore creates a variable gravitational pull in a similar way to a black hole, which form due to a collapsed region of space with infinite density at a point. This is also why his body presumably sucks in pain as, due to Oda logic, pain is a tangible substance and therefore the vacuum like properties of his logia element acts like an area of negative pressure and seeks to consume everything around it. That's my best guess anyway.
To be honest it's just meant to make his character seem more evil so it has the key elements of being highly destructive and unstable, the colour black, and the idea of being all consuming and slightly overpowered. Worry more about what it means for the character than it making complete sense

Doesn't seem that definite to be that way in the OPU. Criminals death seem just as unimportant as innocent people unless
specifically witnessed; besides it seems only certain key WG + Marine personnel, + the World Nobles death would be noticed or cared about. In other terms civilians + ( possibly criminals), only really "count" when the numbers tremendously add up; not really about the individual "innocent civilians" lives. -

Wasn't really wondering. Just saying deaths or the loss of the majority of life in OP only seems to matter in my above mentioned circumstances, or for the sake of appearances to the world, or in the case of the judgement/POV of the ( leading) Marines at the incident.

to…Pirate isn't a legal status you become.
Pirates in One Piece have pretty clearly been shown to be a really large diverse group of vagrants whove left government citizenship (if they ever had it) to sail independently on the sea. Some are hardened criminals, others not so much at all. -

Some are hardened criminals, others not so much at all. Thus my point; "pirates" in their very diverse group still lose w. e. small measure of rights, and or caring the WG/ Marines might have paid them before they became/ established/
started/ began to/ etc./ w. e. to do what the WG/ Marines might see as " piracy".
So no not legal status, but with "vagrants/ wanderers" even in the real world they're defined by what they doing at any given time, the majority of time, which is just that; "vagrants/ wanderers". Even then when dealing in terms of how the WG sees it any1 of
apparent age, any sort of influence, + or power gets considered "pirating"; thus any
'solution' can be used to solve the 'piracy' problem.
So more like 'inferred status'. -

He has CoA, but your friend was basically right for that instance.

What? Monet was snow that whole fight….
Obviously Zoro has CoA. He cut her and made her bleed on her cheek while she was snow. This was before she got scared. -
I think what LUFFYSMC GEAR 2ZND is saying is that when someone becomes a pirate, they lose any kind of citizenship status or protection from the WG they may have once had.

I remember back when Zoro & Luffy parted ways with Coby. Zoro warned him that Marines wouldn't care if he just a chore boy on Alvida's crew, if the Marine Intelligence found out, they wouldn't let him join the Marines.
Yet Jango has joined the Marines despite that he even had a bounty … but ... Jango had helped defend a town fighting beside a lieutenant (Fullbody) from pirates, then stood trial for piracy himself but had same lieutenant ask for mercy on his behalf. So Jango was acquitted and joined the marines ... and Fullbody got demoted and assigned as a partner to him.
I'd say this is a very rare case. Jango was still seen as criminal but was judged to have reformed. -
Since Luffy's fruit is rather special compared even to other Paramecias (It's "always on"), that means that every part of his body is rubber (including arteries and bones).
So obviously he through devil fruit magic turns food he eats into rubber in his body. And if his blood is rubber as well, does that mean he can't donate blood? We know he can accept donated blood, (Jinbei) which his body probably converts into rubber blood, the same as normal human bodies destroy old blood cells and make more.

How can his blood be rubber as well? That doesn't make too much sense to me.
Plus, you're probably looking into it too much… This way you could argue that since Kizaru's clothes transfer into light as well, anything that's on his body can be transformed into light too, like stuff in his bag and all. Meaning he could pick up any given object and change it into a light spear. Or even that he could touch an enemy to turn them into light, then keep them in that state. This is not how it works though, and the only answer you have is simply that not everything has to make sense.

It may not make sense to you, but during the Luffy v. Lucci fight, Oda revealed that even Luffy's blood vessels are made of rubber, which is how he's capable of doing Gear Second.

Yea, the vessels. Not the blood itself.

In that same conversation, Lucci comments that every part of Luffy's body is made of rubber. Blood is part of the body, right, so no matter how illogical it is, Luffy's blood is made of rubber. If we get down to it, is it really any stranger than, say, Buggy's body being able to separate in to lots of pieces, yet not bleeding out?

We're talking like a liquid form of rubber right? So it wouldn't have the properties of solid rubber.
