• Momo is a little badass. The conversation was hilarious, even if the whole scene was a little too predictable.
• "Man made" devil fruit, huh. So I guess this confirms that Devil Fruits are a natural product, and not an invention by Vegapunk to begin with.
• Caesar is an amazing villain, nothing much to add. He is easily in my top 5 after this chapter.
• Good boy, Smokey. Someone already said it, but it really seems that he is dominating. Vergo is obviously putting up a fight judging by Smokers forhead, but the silly hype around him should be over at this point. No heart, no game, eh?
• Sanji kicking the G-5 to safety. It seems Oda found his balance again, please keep it up.
• So Monet is a logia, and no, nothing was "obvious" until this point. Unless someone transforms or is called a logia, there is simply no proof.
• Don't know what to think of the upcoming fight. Obviously Robin isn't allowed to get a proper battle, I should have known. Instead she is reduced to getting Zoro a sandwich seastone cuff. Seriously not liking that.
• On the bright side, Zoro will finally do something after 20 panels of stupid grins and Kinemon fanboying, and I like that Monet turned out to be a real threat in the end.

My thoughts on the chapter

• Dialogue between Luffy and Momonosuke was really awesome… But I somehow don't get why Momonosuke was on the ship
• Luffy being pissed now... Poor CC
• Smoker still being awesome
• Sanji cool once again
• Zoro and Co vs Monet... but to be honest... I don't like that she is logia... Too many logias in a short period of time introduced
• WTF DoFla is doing with Momonosuke? Now his powers are even mroe confusing
• I don't like the "made" DFs by Vegapunk... Dunno why but I hope it will be explained. Does that mean that Momonosuke naturally never existed or Vegapunk just tried to copy it but "failed"?

I must have missed something in the past few chapters, but I didn't realize/think that Momonosuke's DF was artificial. I thought it was just kept in that glass case/machine and was studied by Vegapunk when he made the artificial dragons. I know Ceasar Clown "made" a Devil Fruit when he killed Smiley, but that was a real DF to begin with.

I guess my question is: Has it been outright stated that Momonosuke's DF was artificial, or is this just speculation?

So finally, the spotlight shines on Momonosuke. Interesting to see he refused the candy/drugs Caesar gave to the children, and like his father, was/is stubborn and refuses help. Wonder how good he is with a blade?…...er, and we also see he turned into a dragon because of mistakenly eating a DF. Like father, like son!

Luffy's interaction with him was priceless (drooling over him, calling him a eel), and it's amusing that Momonosuke has this perception all pirates are massive and weigh 400 kg. And like everyone (including me) predicted, Luffy gets a ride out on his back.

Meanwhile, Smoker is pounding Vergo, Sanji and Tashigi are still escaping, Usopp/Kinemon/Brook are on their own side mission.....and Zoro, Nami, Robin, and Chopper must deal with the crazy kids and Monet. Monet's pretty tough, but I was disappointed to see a possible Robin vs. Monet shafted to have Zoro jump in.

Well.....considering the situation, I guess I'd be satifisied with a team effort between the four of them to save the kids and stop Monet.

I think the three vital things from this chapter for further development are;

1. The fake devil fruit. Someone in this thread has said maybe Momonosuke wont be able to turn back into a human (the convo between him and Luffy could hint this). Someone also said that Vegapunk has probably improved his science since then. So maybe it'll be Vegapunk who will sort Momonosuke out. The chances of Vegapunk being introduced in this saga has just rocketed up even more than it already has.

2. Luffy pissed. Yeah we all know what happens when Luffy gets pissed off at someone. The main thing is that Luffy is driven by a purpose directed specifically at what's going on now. The SHs are only thinking of the children, which is a nice touch (unlike Law who is after SAD and CC, and Smoker who has his grudge and wants to solve the mystery of what's going on with CC, as well as help the children).

3. Donflamingo's image popping up in Momonosuke's head. I don't have a clue what that was about, but it increases the chances of Kinemon and Momonosuke being with the SHs all the way 'till Dressrosa (or wherever Donflamingo will recieve his beating). Momonosuke reminds me of Aisa.

Judging by how Wano was referred to earlier, I think it should be too powerful to be enslaved in its entirety. Plus, the human auction house is closed down. However, since its a non-WG country, I could easily see a lot of shit going their way and no-one being told of it.

Well this almost kills the Dragon has an eastern dragon df theory. Not quite though, since Momonosuke's fruit was man made, and I suppose if I were going to create an artificial DF I'd start by trying to copy an existing one. And yeah, the first thought that came to mind was that it fails in that it locks the user's form to animal. WOuld explain why he immediately transformed when Kaku didn't

It's also interesting that VP's fruit doesn't look exactly like a "real" DF (circles instead of curls on it). The fruit Smiley left behind looked really "real" compared to that.

I don't think there will be a Donflamingo arc any time soon. Donflamingo is at this stage way to powerful for any of the current straw hats as well as Law and Smoker. But Donflamingo will receive a major drawback for his plans within this arc.

Chapter review:

• As everyone most likely guessed last chapter the dragon was Momonosuke. He's pretty cool so far.
• Interesting about the man-made Devil Fruits…the plot thickens...
• ...especially when Momonosuke hallucinates Dolflamingo. Insane!
• Nice of Oda to give us glimpses of everyones actions. Seems like Smoker is giving Vergo the beat-down.
• Sanji kicking the Marines. Man I love the interactions between these guys.
• Zoro Vs. Monet...this should be good.

Overall: A good "Filler" chapter in the sense that we see what everyone is up too. Luffy and Momonosuke are now en route to give Caesar a WELL-deserved beatdown. So far only Franky has been MIA since the battle for the laboratory began. I'm hoping in the next few chapters we are given another glimpse of Vegapunk and that Baby 5 and Buffalo arrive. One things for sure, Doflamingo is certainly becoming a more bigger villain in the story...

Cool. Poor Nico Robin but I doubt this will even slow her down. If she was up the next day after getting skewered by Crocodile this should barely slow her down. It looks like she is planning on getting a pari of sea stone cuffs( which seems a much more resonable way to contain a logia then hoping you will manage to beat them unconscious before they run away) It would be a cool twist if she turns out to be the one who takes down Caesar. After all out of all the Straw Hats she is most lacking when it comes to boss fights

Yeah, good chapter. Looks like the fights are pretty much set. Luffy vs. Ceasar, Zoro vs. Monet and Smoker vs. Vergo. Nami and Robin do need proper fights(which I think they'll get with Donflamingo arc/a more major enemy because the girls always tend to get fights when a more major confrontation happens, like Nami at Alabasta and EL, though Robin got her small confrontations during Skypiea and FI), but I think this is more interesting with Zoro and it isn't the stereotypical girl fight again as well.

Edit: oh, seems like the doflamingo thing is an hallucination or something, huh. He's freaking everywhere.
