I finished watching neuro yesterday and if the author follow the same pattern, which is to give a flashback before the death of someone, i can therefore see Korosenei dying soon. Well not like it wasn't mention in the last chapter.
Those sorts of flashbacks were for villain sort of characters, not the huge plot-changing moments that explain the history of the central character of the manga.
We may speed through the next few months. We may not. But the time frame is still there, so the next challenges are whatever Yanagisawa has up his anti-sensei sleeves. For me, I'm not so sure that Korosensei's lifespan is that limited.

It's a bit weird that they change the opening theme after just 11 episodes but kept the closing theme. Usually it's the other way round.

Yes, this is a show that's probably pretty likely to run to the end. I'm sure they'd commit to that if they had any idea how long the manga was actually going run, but given the manga is probably at about the half mark already (or further) there might only be 2 or 3 years left to go… so the show will want to wait and pace according. 3 season series maybe... .and they probably want to keep the filler count down.
