That's not true at all.

One of the best things about this game is that the characters actually feel unique, which is like the opposite of Naruto Storm.

But it's not a very technical fighter. It's at 30FPS, and Easy Beat Supers are going to dominate online for a while. I mean, it's a pure fanservice game for JoJo fans, that much has been clear from the outset. From one of the very first articles on this game:

Notable details include that the title will run at 30 frames per second, which is half of what the typical fighting game runs at. CyberConnect2 stated they could either put all of the processing power into making a fighting game, or a game with JoJo's expression, and they choose the latter. CyberConnect2 specifically mentions that this isn't a fighting game, but a JoJo game.

If someone is expecting a technical fighter and they're not a fan of JoJo's, then I could see why they would return this game. It also has Day 1 DLC and a free-to-play model for its campaign, which a lot of people don't like.

you know, I was feeling bad about having to pay so much to import this game. I mean, I really want to play jojos fightan, but to have to pay so much to import a version in a language I don't even fully understand (and none of my friends understand) that has loads of DLC, a gimpy campaign mode, and balance issues? ugggh

but a NA release? fuck, this game is well worth (only) 60 bucks to me. it'll have subtitles at worst, the balance patch will be finished, and I don't have to pay for mocked-up japanese PSN cards either. damn, I'm hyped all over again.

Maybe it's just because I'm too used to the Capcom fighting game but hearing a deep voiced Old Joseph is just off putting to me. It isn't bad at all but it just doesn't have the same goofy excitement for "OH! MY GOD!"
