i wonder if the pumpkins in skypea originally came from tontatta kingdom….

Chapter 713 : "Usoland"
-
-
It would fit with the power Jinbei said the marines now have since they can recruit any strong person they know of.
You know, I think you might be on to something here.
-
I wonder what makes Norland a hero, since I thought dwarves are stronger than Norland
they're strong, maybe norland act as their strategist?…
-
Well, by 'simple' I meant ordinary.
The other admirals of course are worth mentioning and we know that they are extremely powerful; however, to make it clear:
e.g. Aokiji would freeze the whole island, Kizaru would shoot light attacks, but guess what.. Fujitora can call meteors to crush the whole island underground and leave not a single scratch outta it. That is why I see his power somehow comparable to that of Akainu ( since he is also able to shot magma fists and burn down everything ) except he is not a Logia.Enel could also use his power to make such holes into the ground and i wouldn`t say he is above Aokiji or Kizaru.
Also i think there is a limit to his power.
I think he cant call meteors as big as an island(or at least small sized island meteors should be his maximum) because of two reasons. 1)as we see he also has to dodge/block that meteor…so he also gets harmed when he would
t be able to dodge or slice it
2) why would he work for the WG when he is so powerful that he could simply call a meteor to simply destroy any island someone is on he has beef with...just think about Maryjoa saying "nahh no admiral anymore poopface"..would result in insta-meteor to kill the whole gorousei and celestrial dragonsSo his ability has to have a limit (like Law
s fruit also has a certain radius)and just calling hundrets of meteors the size we just witnessed can
t also be the case.
Maybe one after another, but not at the same time in my eyes.So yeah he might be as powerful as Akainu in erasing islands from the map unlike the other admirals.
That doesnt make it for me to define power or strenght, but in that specific point i assume you
re right. -
Awesome chapter, fuji is an admiral afterall (lol destruction). Could he be new-ish to his ability? Weird that he was "just testing" it.
Surprise? Ussopp gets to lead an army, and the giant fighting fish are related to giant goldfish.
Glad we got to see the panel of luffy on the giant screen, atleast we know the block is underway. And finally… SUUUUPPAAAAA!!!
-
@Bartholemew:
I don't get Law's choice. Assuming Fuji would not have started to keep DD busy as well, what would have been Law's advantages?
Because taking on Fuji and DD simultaneously is probably less stressful for Law than trying to actively convince Fuji he's Luffy's superior.
"Luffy - come here - I mean stay there. WAIT! Uh…Send that guy flying with a punch...See all under control...ah-heh-heh."
-
@Bartholemew:
But how could he know that DD wouldn't just have left the place? Sure, he could keep Fuji in one place, but he had to assume that he would be stuck there whereas DD could move freely.
Though, he still has CC's heart which might have prevented them (DD and CC) to just leave.
DD really does need ceaser, so he knew that DD will have to stick around and get ceaser back. Also he knows that he's pissed DD bad enough for him to want to personally ensure he kicks his ass personally
-
I wonder what makes Norland a hero, since I thought dwarves are stronger than Norland
Maybe they're a little too trusting and easily duped.
-
Usopppppppppppppppppppp is back
seriously though post timeskip franky is just too awesome.
lol at calling franky a toy xd
-

Guys, Norland was hellishly strong. He was as strong as Calgara, and both could kill a giant snake like Nola with a single strike. Remember, the same snake that tanked hits from everyone and their mothers without being killed.
-
I wonder how Fuji's words at the end were meant. "I'm only testing my ability", could refer to him seeing how much he can do against DD and Law- in that case obliterate them- or he isn't used to the fruit yet which could also be a possible scenario (i.e. recruting a skilled fighter and giving him a powerful DF to push his skills even further).
-
Isn't he just saying that the little show he put on is just him warming up

more like he wanted to attack both DD and Law and that was his way in saying i didnt attack you. Since he cant attack DD because of his warlord status
-
i don't get why caesar, being a shichibukai subordinate get a pass, but if the straw hats were law's subordinate, then law should have turn them in…or it
is just a bad translation from MP?
Because Caesar hasn't openly opposed the Goverment like Luffy has. That and his connections to Ace and by that definition, the WB pirates, makes him extremely dangerous, not even mentioning Dragon.
-
That's one way to interpret it. I'm just throwing out another possibility though I might end up being completely wrong and the original line doesn't indicate anything of the like.
-
I don't know if someone mentioned this theory or not
but what if Fujy had Portal Portal no mi
He uses portals to teleport things like gravity, storms, and meteor rocks from outer space. -
@No:

It was a mistranslation though

Or maybe that's just his excuse for attacking Doflamingo..
-
Wait Fujitora brought down those meteorites? I thought they have just randomly fell.. or maybe Akainu sent them..
-
It was a mistranslation though
Huh ?
“As long as he serves under a Shichibukai…”
“Then he’s exempted… A full pardon…” -
Okay okay okay excuse my ignorance but I don't understand the Law/Fuji/Dolfa scene at all.
Is Fuji against Doflamingo? If so, why? If not, why? The gov. didn't know he was Joker. Is that part of it?
So Law would have been exempt from government grasp if he had claimed that the strawhats were under him? and he would have to turn them in too? Please explain someone. Thanks
-
Yeah, I think I got it. Thanks!
-
It was a nice chapter with the fujitora vs law vs doflamingo but the only really important information we really got was that the factory is a toy house. My opinion is that the toys are against the dwarves .

Why would they be, Lighting Soldier is on their side.

I took that scene as Fujitora doing an overkill attack that, probably, wasn't supposed to hit Dofla. Dofla did call him a "mad dog" or something like that. Fuji did apologize after that attack.
Although I take it as a bit of sarcasm on his part, like "ooops, almost hit you, Dofla, not my intention. . .". He knows Dofla is under protection of the Shichi title, but he clearly dislikes him.

1. Lucy on the big screen was a great way to keep time flowing without having to dedicate a chapter to the Colosseum. I hope they go to it for the ending of it though.
2. Glad to see Kinemon again. I don't think he'll join the crew, but it would be awesome if he did. I think he fits in pretty well.
3. Can't wait to see Usopp, I mean Usoland's Haki.
4. I'm a big Fujitora fan. Dude is mad powerful and still mysterious.
5. Every panel with Franky is great. I love the one in the first page he appears on fully where the kid has the same eyes that Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp have when impressed with his mecha stuff. -

Fujitora has recived some information which makes him suspect that doflamingo has been doing some things a shichibukai shouldn't do, Caesar calling doflamingo joker make him suspect doflamingo more, but he stills lacks evidence, he is considering whether to oppose doflamingo.
So Law would have been exempt from government grasp if he had claimed that the strawhats were under him?
Yes
and he would have to turn them in too?
No
Why does law tell the truth? he needs to win time for the strawhats to destroy the factory, he doesn't want fujitora to go back to dressrosa and interfere with them.

So, apologies that I haven't had a chance to read through the thread to respond yet, but upon reading this chapter, there was something that I just felt I had to address.
It would be even nicer to not autistically interpret the series in some machine like way where somehow a guy telling fairy tales to kids has to align itself precisely with some other thing from later that probably has nothing to do with it.
For context, this was from the Viz Media thread, in response to someone commenting that it was a bit of a shame that the translation had switched from 'dwarves' earlier on in the series to, I believe, 'gnomes' in these latest chapters, since that meant it lost a degree of consistency with the story of the dwarves that Norland told.
I had no stake in this little exchange at all, so I'm hardly posting this to gloat – I'm not really one to do that in the first place -- but I do think King has to eat crow over this at least a little bit, especially considering how unnecessarily dismissive he was being with the post.
-
The panel with the three of them just standing on their footing is so awesome
-
Oda entirely gave us room to predict something about Noland and the dwarves given Usopp's hat. Good stuff.
-
Why would they be, Lighting Soldier is on their side.
both are victim of the DD familly they work on factory as prisoners
-

-
One more thing. Usopp's face in the last panel is literally, perfect.
-
^It is. I mean, this chapter was awesome, but DAT face alone would've been enough to get me through the week-long wait for the next chapter.

I thin it just bothers me because at least at the beginning of Viz's speed up of One Piece, they made consistency such a high priority so we're stuck with awkward terms (though admittedly, other than Zoro, can't think of any major examples at the moment).

-
I think Fujitora just eat devil fruit
-
I dunno if it was bad translation, but when Dofla mentioned that what did Akainu teach to Fuji, it got me thinking. Green Bull probably has some Earth ability, and back then Fujitora created a huge hole in the ground, now it's a magma meteor. He probably "sees" these abilities once and is able to mimick them..sorta.
-
Why would they be, Lighting Soldier is on their side.
Just my opinion bro it could be true or not.Maybe it could be a set up, just like what Franky said "its strange when things move the way you want". Like violet I think its also a set up.

It was a bad translation. He's basically asking what Akainu has done to train them as marines since am assuming he took up the role of overseeing the new conscripted admirals.
-
Now you could tell that laws plan is falling in choas,He sounded so bad ass with his speech about the gears and destroying the SAD. Its funny how an evil character like ceasar becomes A cute subordinate.
-
and mangastream also misses the black and white thing, jeez

Mangastream translation made the chapter a little different.

Mangastream translation made the chapter a little different.
Yes, because that's their shtick.
Don't rely on them for facts. Just flavor.

replaced by : hostile & exempt

Mangareader's translation was..let's just leave it as bad. I barely understoon what was going on lol. I'll wait for mangarule! Good chapter nonetheless, Fujitora seems freaking powerful lol. Both Law and DD were so surprised with his powers. Can't wait to see more of their fight!
