There's something else. When Usopp got his dials, he mentioned something about what he could do with his hammer. So Im expecting him to pull out an impact hammer or something when he fights CP9. Thats what I love about Oda, no matter how miniscule he mentions something, it pretty much means its going to happen.
Yes, he also mentioned upgrading Nami's clima-tact with the dials, and he did. :)

I think so too, but who's to say there wasn't any foreshadowing in that. I just thought it was intersting that someone who had just seen those episodes and nothing beyond came up with that conclusion.

I´m hoping that the Jinbei thing is going to be the biggest foreshadowing piece. What I´m refering to isn´t mentioned in the anime but just in the manga. It´s the part where Yosaku says that he skips all the complicated fighting story and straight gets to the point. 
And of course, the fact that she never wears sleeveless shirts when around the guys; a killer-tattoo beneath.
Sort of related; I noticed that in American volume 6, the cover page illustration (they're all dressed in Sanji-style waiter suits) does show her with a tattoo visible– but it's NOT the swirled-fish she reveals later (according to the dub), or the pinwheel. It looks like the swirled fish WITH crossbones. What's that about? Not only is it a potential spoiler, but isn't it wrong?
It was the japanese cover as well, and I don't think it holds any relevance. To me, it looks like the mugiwara flag.

All the 4 exceptionally strange people in Mock town, whom you think are just there to show what type of place it is, turns out to be Blackbeard and his Crew.

Rankyaku is making a wind slash with a kick, Califa jsut attacked the Strawhats (and Ieburg) with a flurry of kicks (for mostly comical purposes).
I always thought that was more of Lucci's hand being storng as shit than him using Shigan. But I always thought that was interesting and lead me to think that there was a lot more to him.
And Kaku was just jumping around on rooftops and stuff… he didn't really display anything other than phenominal leg strength.

I think the whole Tashigi thing involving Zoro will eventually lead up to do with him becoming the world's greatest swordsman. Isn't it interesting that the only sword Tashigi's interested in is Wadou Ichimonji? Yubashiri's one those 50 swords she wanted out of evil's hands and she considers all pirates evil, but she hasn't ever mentioned it. I know this can't be proven, but Zoro did make a promise to Kuina, so maybe Mihawk won't be his greatest challenge, but facing his past and challenging Tashigi will.
Dragon appearing at Logue Town, as well as the scenes with Shanks, Buggy, Blackbeard, Whitebeard and the other Shichi Bukai.
Though they haven't been resolved yet, these are all foreshadowing to the uber-degree because they've gone several hundred chapters without being resolved. Oda-sama knows where he's going with this story, that's for sure.
I bet once these stories get resolved we'll see tons of sly little dialouge that actually mean a lot when we reread.
I think that this is the biggest foreshadowing of all:

I agree. At fisrst I didn't see shanks or WhjiteBeard as having a lot of crewmates. The only reason we imagine less crewmates is because of luffy's crew.

I think Franky should resurrect the weapon for Luffy, and since Tom built Gold Roger's ship should only be fitting if his apprentices build the next pirate king's ship

Speaking of Vivi: Luffy & co. come up with the X's as a countermeasure to Mr. 2, with Luffy proclaming it a sign of their friendship afterwards. Those X's later tell Vivi exactly what she is to the Straw Hat crew.
And, my personal favorite, the sky shadows. We see these huge shadowy monsters at the very beginning of Skypeia. They're seemingly nothing but random monsters n the Grand Line. Only at the very end to we understand that they're just sky people shadows, demonstrated by Luffy's ginormous one in the sky.
That has always been, to me, a magnificent way to bring the story full circle. Second only to Genzo's pinwheel.

Yosaku tells Luffy and Sanji that there are 3 major powers in the Grand Line, and only mentions one of them, which is the Shichibukai. Could the cp9/world government be the 2nd one? If so, there's still a 3rd one out there that we don't know about.. Wonder what it is XD

Yeh i've been thinking about that since the first time i saw it in the anime..
He just mentioned the shikibukai and then stopped…
However the dangers of grand line are a-plenty...
freak weather conditions, must use log pose, have to wait for log pose to set, etc..

I'm not sure if this is just the translation I have but Aokiji mentions a little brother after he freezes luffy, it could just be nothing or could be some crazy plot deal for the story

How about just being names? Never heard of people who have first and second names? BTW, don´t know what the Portgas is about since I don´t even know what that terms means actually but I always thought that Monkey was a homage to DBZ´s Son Goku who was actually a monkey boy if you look at it.

I got a possible foreshadowing, but am not so sure of it because it's the Thai translation.
This one traced back a lot too. I got it from the other One Piece forum. The first (or second) volume, Oda said something when Zoro joined the crew. Something like "And Luffy got his first pirate crew, the pirate hunter Roronoa Zoro but he doesn't know that he had done a very wrong mistake" (Something like this, I don't have the volume with me and Thai translation did messed things up sometimes.)
Is this a possible foreshadow that showed that Zoro will someday turned back and fought with Luffy?
I don't think there was ever such a mentioning of Luffy having made a bad mistake…
As Phlemingo said it, such a thing was never mentioned in the original story. How I hate it when translators chop some things appart just because they think that they can make it more cool sounding. Happens over here in Germany very often. Not just in One Piece. :rolleyes:
