I keep mentioning how Wiper, Vivi, and Margaret are some of the saddest non additions to the crew. Wiper…..so much emphasis on how awesome he was, and he even had a saddish backstory. MAYBE, Skypia just happens to be floating over the strawhats at one point and he falls on their ship
And Margaret, actually had a fighting style that would have been cool and her naiveness would have been awesome for the crew. -

So I don't see a reason to be sad about them, I liked Margaret and Wiper a lot, I really dont care they didnt join, doesn't work like that(for me atleast).

I've actually only ever been on the Hancock bandwagon. She cant join for obvious reasons but i think her character would've fit in well. Imagine her interactions with Sanji, frequently turning him to stone.
And my favorite "check out how far back shes looking down on him!!" hahaI actually still hope Oda finds a way to have her join them.

A shame she looked remarkably a lot like Robin in design. If you stripped them naked and gave them the same hairstyle, I'm sure they would look identical. An interesting character, but looked too close to Robin,

I think the main reason why she cant join is her strength. IMO Hancock and Mihawk are the strongest schichibukai. Even Sengoku acknowledged how strong Hancock is. With all 3 haki types plus her haxxx fruit, Hancock is simply a beautiful monster

Plus that quote was before Impel Down.
So either it could fit Buggy or Crocodile.. where Luffy both partnered with.
If we would think just a bit back.. it's more of sentence that was for Jinbe.Jinbe will join.. but not now ;).

The quote never specified someone actually joining the crew. And Jinbe wasn't a former boss character in the story, that part only applied to Buggy and Croc at the time.

I'm one of those few who wished Hancock would have joined, it would have had some fun moments and I think she would have been helpful, oh well maybe shey'll at least be a Vivi at one point and travel with them for an arc??

Seems plausible. It is also similar to Usopp's and Nami's dreams in that it is being achieved by just being apart of the Straw Hat crew. At this point, it seems very likely that Jinbe is going to join the crew at some point unless Oda decides to kill him off. It also fits with the Blackbeard Pirates having ten members while the Straw Hats only have nine (Not counting Doc Q's horse, Stronger, of course). Considering the BB Pirates seem to not only be the main antagonists of One Piece, on the pirate side of the spectrum, but they are clearly meant to be the anti-Straw Hats. Unless BB has recruited in the New World, I think Jinbe being the tenth and final member seems like a lock barring, again, some crazy plot twist.
The New World, thus far, seems to be more about creating alliances than recruiting new crewmates. I expect more pirates, especially the Supernovas, to ally with the Straw Hats, but very few new Straw Hat pirates.
