well for me there is not much to be excited about yet too many things have basically no information attached to them like mirrors edge 2, the new dragon age, spark, etc.
The only thing that got me really riled up in excitement was dark souls II but that's because it's dark souls.
I'm just really curious what sony will do. If they could have the console at 400€(which is still like 530$) that would be pretty big. 450€ would make them look better than ms for the eu. But that's still to expensive.
Guess for US prices 450$ would still be quite great?
A source just leaked out that the PS4 will have multiple versions ranging from $399 to $599. We'll know for sure in a few hours.

If they truly do launch a $399 PS4 I can't imagine the HDD being very large, and that is a major thing. I struggle with my 80GB HDD in my PS3, and that is a system I largely use for discs, the PS4 is going to be way more digital focused so a large hard drive is going to be crucial.
Yep. I already don't care to get PS+ now because I have a really small HDD, so I'd have to delete and redownload games all the time.

I really just have to wonder what could they have even ported over? I would be insanely interested in knowing how much manpower/time it would take to bring ps2/ps3 games over.
When I think of it I'm a bit of a fan of the idea of giving out one of the launch titles out per ps+.
It seems to make quite a bit of buisness sense, you're saving money from the pack in game(physical disk and packaging), you're not giving out the game forever but rather are incentivising the customer to stay with ps+, and as a customer we have variety to choose from.
This is something that always irked me when buying a console not having the right pack in game to get.

Who knows but it probably isn't harder to port a PS2 game to PS4 than PS2 to PS3, I'll say that much.

I have no comment on the rape joke thing. Whether the whole thing was staged or not(I think it all was), it was sort of tasteless to demonstrate a fighting game like that. And I mean showing the typical dominating behavior in a onesided match. That bothered me more than the actual joke tbh. So yeah, no comment.

That's probably it bar a few I miss. Microsoft's conference was wasn't bad I'd say. I'll probably end up getting multiplats on either Xbone or PC since my brother is going to get it anyway, which sucks but oh well. PC if I can help it.

Just throwing this out was there even one xbox one exclusive at the conference that would make you guys get the console in theory(disregarding the drm stuff), especially for 499.
I don't feel like there was one for me. Spark is also for pc as is titan fall. There were also a lot of multiplatform games.

If it's very heavy on that like it looked that would be a bummer, but a part of me just don't want to believe that crytek would do that. Say what you want about the crysis games but they are definitely not super casual. A design philosophy that I don't see mesh well with QTEs. So would be weird if the whole game would be mostly QTEs. But I might be just to optimistic.
A friend of mine was also all over this, I'm admittingly a bit bewildered seems like a case of big nostalgia boost. I don't feel the KI characters would stand well today. Also there is the fact that it looks like another good fighting game, and I can't say we're lacking on these.
I've stopped myself buying any more since I have like tekken 6, soul calibur IV, mortal kombat and street fighter IV while being super casual about them.

I'll probably get the Xbox One at some point… actually I'll definitely get it at some point. But it's something that I'll wait for. When there are a ton of great exclusives, a price cut and after I take a big chunk out of my humongous backlog and every other game this gen and every gen before that I've been wanting to play. I'm thinking about getting Gamefly soon.
Also, about the xbone, it goes without saying that the always online and their used game policy hurt the system in my eyes. Then they go and ask for $500. Dooouchebags.

This is I will concede, but then we have TJ Combo, Jago, Cinder, Glacius and chief thunder who I wouldn't quiet label as stellar(they're not awful though just not very iconic I think nor very exciting to look at).

I was deciding whether to go XBONE or PS4 based on these conferences. Hope the Sony conference convinces me, else my money is going elsewhere (and definitely not to XBONE at this point).

Eh, I've loved Sony's relationship with first-party studios for the last-gen, so I'll probably stick with them since it seems like they're trying to go even more dev-friendly. And I've greatly enjoyed indie games on PS3/Vita.
I love E3. Every year, I live-chat with a friend of mine about what we expect, and every year, I forget just how uncomfortable and disappointing these presentations are.
