I saw that on twitter earlier. It's nice to finally be able to watch that without hearing the fans (rightfully) screaming their heads off and drowning out the song.

I can't wait!

oh god, finally! It's currently the show that I'm more pumped for the immediate future.

-
upcoming Steven Bomb?
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

Ugh pls no more Steven bombs. Just release an episode a week, my heart can't take these breaks.

That doesn't always help. try following Venture Bros.
-
One of the writers said not too long ago that they were almost out of finished episodes, so it won't be a bomb. And a storyboard artist mentioned that an episode she worked on won't air until at least the 17th, so that means the episodes will be airing weekly.
-
GOOD. The bombs suck. It was neat the first time when there was a legit story reason to do it all in close order, but the other two bombs have just taken new episodes out of three months.

Because they only do like 8 episodes every two years. Which would be made worse if they released all of them in one week instead of over two months.

next week
Oh thank god
Damn you american/european date-format shenanigans, always confusing me.
My wife caught up in august (I teased her mercilessly on whether we'd get to see the last Steven Bomb's conflict resolved before the break), so now we're allllll set to continue this awesome ride.

I feel the most recent one benefited as well. I don't know how I'd handle a month and a half of the Pearl/Garnet drama.

:D finally! There isn't anything else I'm interested in watching nowadays

Only 2 more days.
I'm so ready for this

"I hate that abacus…"
That is such a Milhouse lineread from Connie and I love this show.
-
connie was hugging her mommy and steven looks at his mommy's sword. aw, the feels. <3
line read from milhouse? huh?
-
Was anyone else kinda disturbed that Connie's mom didn't think a mangled torso composed only of arms was out of the ordinary? Like, it had no head yet was moving around and had like 6 or 7 arms. What the hell kind of car accidents does she see!?

A lot of people in Beach City tend to ignore and/or take all of the crazy supernatural stuff in stride. Especially Connie's parents.
Remember the Alexandrite incident?
-

She read that line like she was actually Milhouse and not Connie. Or maybe Connie is Milhouse. Milhouse AU.

You'd be surprised by what the human body can look like. I'm sure a longtime doctor would not be as much.

This episode…
! Just as I was thinking I couldn't love the Steven-Connie relationship more, this episode. I dare to say it's one of the best so far. The atmosphere was perfect, the animation and art perfect, the ending was perfect.
! The only gripe I have with it is the time, but even that isn't such a problem. It achieved so many things under 10 minutes.
! Also, is this the first time Connie and Steven our fighting side by side in a real situation? It was so nicely put together, choreographed and all.
! Man, I love this episode. -

One of the producers once explained that, since the gems invasion of Earth lasted for a while and left its after effects, humans are used to occasionally witness supernatural incidents, but tend to avoid/ignore them.
That explains the Pizza family fighting a giant blowfish like it was nothing, people accepting that Dewey´s ancestor was saved from a sea monster by a giant woman and all other stuff.

Beautiful and fun series. Caught up. I love Garnet.

That episode was really sweet
I loved that one of the offices at the hospital belonged to a Dr. Gero
-
I'm kind of bothered about the show, as how it built up the lion, garnet, the gems vs the crystal gems, and how after currently catching up, only the stories of how the crystal gems meet, what exactly is "just a pearl", the identity of the grand statue/the savior of the pilgrims. Plus future deveolpents.

Assuming you're talking about remaining mysteries, the actual resolution of the Crystal Gem Rebellion is still very unclear.
On one hand, we know that there was a massive war which the Crystal Gems won, with just 3 survivors, including Rose. Jasper shows us that theres still survivors from the war on the homeworld side too, so it seems more like Homeworld was repelled rather than wiped out.
However, on the other hand, Peridot was completely oblivious to the fact that Crystal Gems were still on earth, and was sent to the planet because it would be "easy".
So homeworld was beaten off earth, yet now seem surprised that it still gives them resistance.
This suggests that Rose somehow pulled a stunt that won the war, but simultaneously made homeworld think the crystal gems were gone. Maybe they staged a Caesar Clown style fake environmental catastrophe? At any rate, its very unclear. -
What Daz said, the series has done it's misteries very well, but if there's actualy over 40 chapters left, there are very few misteries left. There's enough future events in the horizon though.
-
The remaining ones are some of the biggest though; What do the gems even want from earth - both then and now? What exactly is Peridots mission, and why is she making fusion monsters? Are snake people real?
Plus, apart from yellow diamond theres hints at two other "diamond" bigwigs, plus Lapis' statement that Homeworld has changed drastically…there may be fewer actual mysteries, but theres still plenty of lore to explore; and they can always do flashback episodes of "How Rose met X".

I believe they prefer to be called sneople.
Maybe the gems just really wanted to conquer everything in the universe. Or they thought Earth had potential to be a good kindergarten.
-
The poor misunderstood gems just wanted to raise an army strong enough to fight off Lord Serpent Viperton and his horde of Slitherings from the planet of Snake Pun, all wrongs of homeworld will be ignored when everyone joins to fight the Snake Patriarchy in season 6, you heard it here first
-
This episode got me thinking about what Peridot said in "Friendship" when she referred to Earth 'having an expiration date'. She was sent originally to check on the Cluster, no doubt the failed fusion experiments are related or are the Cluster. We know now that there are other shambling horrors up and about thanks to Peridot's meddling, meaning there could be more hanging around. What if the Homeworld's initial plan is to set those corrupted fusions loose to destroy Earth?
-
The fusions are the product, not the objective, earth is meaningless, what is important is the resources.
-
At first the Earth was meaningless other than just a resource farm, but the Crystal Gems made it important. Most of the Gem Wars seemed to take place on earth, making it a focal point for everyone involved. Rose and her allies fought to protect it while the Homeworld armies sought to use it for their purposes.
Since the Crystal Gems won the war so to speak, Homeworld backed off but continued to keep tabs on it (i.e. the red eye and Peridot's arrival at the hub warps) They were looking to see if it was opertune to resume plans but where shocked to find that there was a rag tag group of gems still around. Peridot runs to her superiors who instantly decide to send Jasper, a battle hardened gem that has been to earth before to handle these remaining dregs of resistance. We know the result of that endeavor from the show.
Now let's think about how there has been no communication between Jasper's party and Homeworld for some time. Then Peridot's message (if it even got through, which I'm sure it did.) Is definitely going to send even bigger guns to earth, maybe Yellow Diamond herself. The Earth is now another focal point for an upcoming Gem war and I'm sure they are going to try and just destroy the planet just for the express purpose of the hassle. All in all, if Homeworld wins, the Earth is doomed.
-
it's hard to take that explanation seriously, while staring at your sig and ava. XD <3

Even though I read the thread while I was binging the show, I didn't check any links, so this might be here but it's cool:
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
It seems like this has previews for a flashback episode to when the house is built.
-
no. the flashback is all new material for us. :) It was pretty neat.
-
I have to recomend you the android Stephen universe game. It's mario and luigi superstar but with the gems and stephen.
It's not free, but the fact that you can tap the gems like it was starcraft and they talk back, and garnet has "Howdy" and "Please, don't" as her quotes, and it has the actual actors, it makes it a fun little experience.

Interesting development though.

! Peridot was hilarious xD
! I always love a good dose of Peridot in my episodes I never expected her real body to be so funny -
:3
!
Damnit this series is so much fun. And feels, but this one was just fun.
-
Dang, the pacing in this episode was RIDICULOUS. They really should have tried splitting this up into two parts and slowed things up a bit.
-
Dammit! I fell asleep while the episode was running on television!
Why do I always missed my favorite shows on the right time but at the wrong hours of sleep?
At least the long summary of the synopsis of the episodes feels pretty good.
Better watch it online tomorrow?
