I think you have fairy and goddess backwards. A long slender woman looking somewhat elegant vs. a boy(?) with a silly hat playing a flute and maybe has some wings.
I think he's got it right since the fairy looks a lot like King's sister.

It's one reason I thought it that way. The other were the wings of the one playing the flute; the fairies we know doesn't have wings.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
But maybe Elizabeth and Liz belong to the goddess clan (and they have no wings neither), which could be associated with the fact that Hendricksen captured Elizabeth. So we still don't know it for sure.
You would think the tall, flying, majestic-looking woman represents the Goddess clan.
Especially when she's next to the praying humans.
Also, what the hell am I supposed to be seeing in the "Giants Clan" piece?
A large face and hair.
! Looking at the spoilers, haha, I can't believe I overlooked the connection between Merlin and King Arthur.

Decided to give the new chapter a little color!

Suddenly, Camelot!

Can´t blame you on that one though, Merlin could have also been a random name
Hey, Hitotsumami, can you color the entire page 16?
! We did get this though, Arthur's presence in the story wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oh thanks for that. To be honest, at that point, i was not really paying too much attention, so i missed that.
What if there 2 Merlins? I mean if we say that hooded person next to Arthur is their Merlin then there is no reason to be our Merlin since she was masked and so no reason to be hiding under a hood. That if the masked woman is our Merlin, then our Merlin and their Merlin is the same Merlin.
Holy shit. This chapter was pretty damn great.
As enjoyable as Kongoh Bancho was, the scope and epicness of this series is just on a league of its own by comparision. It seems like the author really thought things up this time.
Awesome. And I completely forgot about the mention of Arthur and Camelot back in ch 3.
Somebody here brought up that Merlin could be a vampire. I could see that happening.
^Oh yeah, that was me.
If Merlin is a Vampire, then the last dude could be a Wraith or something of the sorts.
Too bad Escanor is the Lion's pride, cause I really wanted one of them be a Werewolf.
Cause Werecats sucks.
The art in the last two chapters was incredible, especially the two page spreads in the new one and Diane throwing the guys in the last one.
I wanted to see Gowther fighting style, but Meliodas is too powerful to even give him a chance.
Crazy episode in the good sense but it was a bit silly to see a huge army arriving at a castle without anyone on the kingdom noticing until that very moment (unless Merlin teleported the whole army to the castle gates XD)

I vaguely remember magic that shrouded people in shadows from the old tales…
After reading awesome Kongou Banchou and seeing some cool stuff (the giantess throwing the hero posse over the countryside), I know I'm in for something neat.
One thing I'm cautious of, however, is if there are enough chapters out not to burn out too quickly.
If I never have heard of this series before, I would swear this is the final arc, cause it really looks like the climax.
If anyone has brought this up let me know and I will gladly so sit in the corner.
Without rereading, which as typing this I'm now prepared to do. Was it actually mentioned that the Holy Knights took Elizabeth? Or could it of even the hooded figure (possibly Merlin) beside King Arthur?
With that now being said, I am intrigued as to what King Arthur's ability could be, in all rights it should be "kingly".

I have the feeling that the masked woman will turn out to be Morgana. If she became an ally of the Holy Knights then that would explain the sudden attack launched by Arthur.
It is announced that Nanatsu no Taizai has nominated for Manga Taishou 2014.
This chapter Hendrickson said that the Sins must be there because "the key" was already retrieved; the key we assume is Elizabeth. Of course that could just be a red herring.

Its some kinda of a lesser version of Tezuka Osamu award?
Its some kinda of a lesser version of Tezuka Osamu award?
Well, it has shorter history than Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award, but it is one of prestigious manga awards in Japan.
This arc feels like Enies Lobby..
It's so refreshing to see a manga so well paced as Suzuki writes them. It has only been six volumes, but the coming arc feels like a middle climax already, with almost every Sin gathered and already going to the capital which at the same time is under siege by a foreshadowed up and coming power with a demon invasion looming over evything else. And that's just the beginning if we are to believe Suzuki's intent to create a 40 volume long story.
Arthur didn't come of as much of a surprise since we were talking about him just a few pages back. But it's good to see him officially introtuced into the plot sooner than later. Not much can be said about him for now (except for the fine armour he wears, but this manga is all about fine armours), but is he actually the first in this manga to employ mounted knights? No wonder he became king of Camelot.
Hopefully King and Diane will have something to do while all the hot action takes palce at the capital.
Arthur was first mentioned in chapter 3: http://manga.redhawkscans.com/reader/read/nanatsu_no_taizai/en/0/3/page/5
And you are the third to mention it.
Arthur was mentioned… :ninja:
I agree with the pacing assessment it was the one thing that kept me glued to the series when other elements at the beginning weren't as intriguing.
I think when we hit the Ban flashback I became a 100% sure that this is going to be pretty great. Don't want to oversell it but it's were I thought hmm this can deliver emotional moments and not only cool action scenes.
It still feels like it's relatively low key for how solid it has proven to be. I'm excited to see how successful it can become.
Maybe it can reach Magi numbers? It's hard to tell with the anime still being at least another year off.
Or maybe I'm delusional and overrating this a bit.
So far the only thing that the series was lacking was a more detailed background for the story. The mix with the arturic legend gives a great potential for expansion.
It has been only a bit more than a year but the manga has grow a lot (and not even all the sins were revealed yet) I can only hope that the pressure of an anime version doesnt affect the long term plans of the author.
I finally found enough time to catch up with this series and I must say it has become my week favourite alongside OP.
I'm quite "shy" when it comes to writing in English but this is definitely a manga I want to discuss with fellow readers.
I hope I won't make big mistakes but feel free to correct me.
Now that I can read NnT at weekly pace I was thinking about reading Kongou Banchou on my free time. It seems like people here consider it quite good.
On another note, I'm looking forward to some King/Diane interaction (not talking about romance here or anything). One thing I always love in the stories I read are the little interactions between characters. Makes me feel like I get to know them better.
I'm also wondering if we will see Morgana LeFay and Lancelot or homonymous characters.
Chapter 63
Well shit just got real.
ROLLING HAM ATTACK !
Nakaba is going all out every chapter, I really like how he keeps up the quality. If this is really supposed to be 40 volumes long, bring it on. I'll gladly buy all of them.
Didn't expected to Arthur looks so child like. And I was always seeing him having a very deep voice.
Can't wait to see when He discover the entire truth and go beserk.
Amazing pace the series is taking. I wonder if Arthur is also a half demon like Meliodas.
And Nakaba really shut my complaining about the whole army appearing without being noticed. Well done!
Hawk wanted to take a shit yet decided to go out instead of going to the toilet that was right there. Very fishy.
It's funny how Hawk is physically stronger than King.
This chapter really hyped me. I want to see if a conversation between Margaret and Eli can reveal more plot information.
What if "Merlin" knew that Hawk would bash the door and brought him along so that Elizabeth could meet with Margareth?
