So why would Acnologia, a creation of Zeref, want to take down E.N.D, a demon who also serves Zeref? My only guess is that E.N.D is like Acnologia and Acnologia doesn't want it to come back because it's jealous? Also, If Igneel couldn't take down E.N.D, but can take down Acnologia, but Natsu can take down E.N.D, then that means the cool and menacing effect of Acnologia is moot.

The twist wasn't well handled, the lack of foreshadowing (other than the barrier) takes away most of the impact. Did Lucy also eat her mom?

Acnologia isn't a creation of Zeref. He was originally a dragon slayer and for reason I forgot slowly transformed into a real Dragon.
Or, put another way, Acnologia is basically the Fairy Tail version of the big baddie in Monster Soul, another (short) manga by Mashima. This time it's a dragon, instead of a monster, but it was born the same way and, how strange, it popped out right at the end of the Monster Soul version of Tartaros arc.
After all, Mashima likes to recycle stuff from previous works, without even try to change it… like Jellal, for example.--- Update From New Post Merge ---

A nice little game. However, I don't think that the resolution is really that foolproof. Couldn't he just blink 58 or more times and then answer with "No."? (Though you could make this question work by adding stuff like "at the exact time I finished my question".)
I was expecting a paradox instead. Something like: "Will you answer my question with 'No'?"

So harsh. Fairy Tail is at least constantly average. It's lows haven't ever felt Bleach lows bad. Or Naruto's lows bad in my opinion. But Fairy Tail I don't think FT had highs on the same level of the other two. At least nothing notable comes to mind when I try to think of my favorite FT scenes or fights.

I can't fathom how people seem to rank this series as "average" or above Naruto and Bleach when it's easily one of the most uncreative , unoriginal piece of garbage to ever come out in fiction . Hiro Mashima is definitely one of the worst writers of all time for creating two of the most garbage mangas out there .

because the author doesn't go too far with his crap.Look at at Naruto and where the fuck Kishi has brought his mc to, a complete 180 change in his character and how he retcon

Well, in this page ( http://www.mangareader.net/fairy-tail/400/16 ) Natsu isn´t really touching his heart, so i think it´s safe to assume Igneel was actually in his stomach all along.
Makes sense if you think about it.
It´s more reasonable to assume Natsu´s stomach has fire, unlike his heart.

When Freed set up a barrier that was to keep people over certain age in it, and Dragon Slayers were kept in as well, even though the rule should technicaly apply to them.
Don't get me wrong, it is rushed to the point of hilarity and not needed at this point in the arc in the slightest, but arguing that it is nonsensical means that you probably should not be reading any Shonen Manga.

I think it´s a bit sudden (The appearance that is, not the spot where it was hiding), but Mashima seems to have thought about this before and had that idea, so considering this an asspull or something like that would be wrong. -
