Skipping chapters is just downright bad, you don't do that, never.

Joan !!!!!! Lol , was that really inthe original dialogue box hehehe

I have to agree with anyone before: Skipping chapters in this kind of series is pretty stupid. If you dislike it enough to think about skipping, than better just stop reading. Though you probably are the first one, to stop in the middle. Usually people have sometimes a hard time with the beginning, but not once it begins to get awesome.
–---------------Question for the recent chapter: I presume, the quote from the Shiji is either wrong, or Sai was the small border city in reality, right?
-
Man Reebok just can't seem to make up his mind about the fact that he's previously burned down cities in his wake or if he feels bad about killing normal citizens. @phoenix_fire:

Pang Nuan definitely did lead the coalition against Zui. Hara probably spiced it up by placing Zui as a border city to Qin's capital, though.

Reebok-sama is benevolent when the plot demands it.

Remember how until a week ago Mangoku was one of his top generals and he had no problems whatsoever with him doing his thing with the raping and murder and nakedly sitting on corpses?

To be fair, the attack wasn't lead by Riboku. He have a different campaign at that time…

It was itchy at first when he said he wouldn't like killing a kid/shin.
Wasn't he one to say his plan was to annihiliaton of all Qin? Or his campaign in Bayou included killing all the civilians plus killing first the outside villages before sieging Bayo? He is the general after he has the control. It's not like we have to go that back.
The thing is, he is becoming really irritating. Yes he is a good strategist. I don't accept him using Houken as a cheating to be honest. But thing is it always come down to it. Like in every plan of his, there is this one unexpected thing and he deals with it using Houken not using his so called greatness.
He is right now nothing more than op-strategist. Rather than making real strategic moves he is like doing things no one could do. Like ten said, commanding his army so they can create that current which confuses the enemy. Whatever…
I'm actually excited if we're gonna see a badass King. Because in the first arc of the series Sei had displayed abnormal physical strength. But author haven't touch that side of Sei for a while. It might just stay as a willpower/leadership thing. And it would be kind of better that way.

Where in reality was Zui? Anybody knows?
I'm more interested in Kanyou's real location. That place is like a real natural fort if it is similiar to series version. Not that I'm into policits but seeing Sei, not that he correctly represents his history-self, one would expect a different China these-days.
-
Xianyang (Kanyou)
No clue about Zui. Doubt it'd be easy to locate a random city from 245 BC. -
In case somebody missed it, chapter 378

Wait what, early Chinese leak?
It's like it's my birthday today.
Oh wait
! Well, so ends that part. I wonder if Hara'll be doing something inbetween Lu Buwei's whole downfall or if he's going to go straight for the jugular

It's usually out on a saturday.
! Well if we are to go by the actual records or in some records, Zheng is actually Lu Buwei's son and that the queen dowager was already pregnant with Lu Buwei's son when Zheng's father sought her. The whole fiasco with how lu buwei is gonna be exiled is going to have to do with guy railing the queen dowager, Lao Ai. Let's see how it plays out. My personal feeling is that we're going to be dealing with rebellions for at least 50-60 chapters or so. Lu's greatest challenge right now is in killing zheng before he sits on the throne, cause ifzheng does end up on the throne, his power will simply be over ruled.
Btw Can anyone point me to the chapter where the military hierarchy is explained, the one with the commander rankings from 100 man to great general. -
Is it? oh, alright. Yeah we usually don't get posts about them til sunday I think, then monday for the Japanese RAW.
! Well that's pending we go with the suspicions of Sima Qian. I think a bunch of historians today have high suspicion of that as more of a rumor to put down China's first emperor because the merchant class was low tier in terms of public perception.
! As for rebellions, maybe. And yeah, Lao Ai's only shown up for one chapter so far porking the Queen Dowager. Should have some more build up about how Zheng now has a few more half-siblings and how Lao Ai wants to usurp the throne on his end til he royally (no pun intended) fucks up (again, no pun intended).
! Anyway this page and the next are the one you're looking for: http://www.batoto.net/read/_/208431/kingdom_v25_ch270_by_turnip-farmers/11 -

Pretty sure he was drunk and just blurted out in a party that he might as well be the king's step father (since he was having sex with the queen and all). I don't think he had that grand of an ambition in real life but we'll see what Hara does

The coalition army took place in 241 BC, the timeline we're in now is 2 years after the war i.e 239 BC or near the end of 239 BC.Lu Buwei is exiled in 238-237 BC. So we're pretty close to the scene. I don't think hara would go so far as to go introduce the half-siblings because the half-siblings meet a brutal end. This goes against the nature of the zheng that hara has built up. Oh and that isn't the page I was looking for, there's another page which has all the rankings from 100 man commander to great general. I think meng tian explains it to Xin during the wei invasion…

! I think the story goes something like the Queen Dowager really digging him, so she ends up making him some sort of high rank or something, and the plan was something like making their illegitimate sons be placed on the throne and starts abusing power like crazy. But then he messes up due to drunken stupidity.

! That or he does the zheng change and sends them off and banishes them or something rather than murder. But anyway, I think Lao Ai needs at least a bit more build-up.
! Oh, guess not. but it seems the hierarchy goes general -> 5000 -> (maybe 4000?) -> 3000 -> 2000 -> 1000 -> 300 -> 100 -> 5 man commander. Great general is probably more experience and charisma, as they needed one to motivate the people of Zui. I don't remember Meng Tian doing the whole explanation during Wei though. -

! She makes him a marquis and that power goes to his head. Then he gets drunk. Totally forgot about the first part. At least we'll see blood as he starts a rebellion. Funny how Sei has the bastards put into sacks and beaten to death. Wonder how Hara will handle that.

! If there is no serious child bludgeoning then I'm going to begin questioning the historical accuracy of this 100% faithful adaption of the shiji
-
! Xin needs to grow more in size. Lu is still dwarfing him, or maybe do main characters in kingdom grow in size depending on their military rank? He looks like a boss though, roaming around that maze of a palace like it ain't anybodies business. Any rough idea on the words exchanged between xin and lu?
-
! Yeah I think even compared to Meng Wu, Lu Buwei is still pretty damn tall. In that scene with Xin in this chapter though I think that was more just emphasis of how big of a "threat" Lu Buwei was. I think in some texts, Lu was even part of the force fending off Pang Nuan and the alliance, but I forget. Anyway, large influence and charisma.

! Another thing I wanted to clarify is if Wang Qi's glaive is one of the 5 national "treasure swords" of china like the bakuya sword.
-
! What I want clarified is if Xin still owns just a hut lol.
! Also I guess if he just leaves it lying around in his hut -

! Also I guess if he just leaves it lying around in his hut! I don't think he's still living in a hut cause after the end of the coalition war he receives land(s)in the area where he resides as a thanks for his efforts in the war. http://www.batoto.net/read/_/162656/kingdom_v5_ch44_by_vendetta-scans/14.Ouki refers to his glaive as a treasure sword there, but I assumed that the translators translated glaive as treasure sword which is why I'm having a doubt.

! … Speaking of Li, is there a chance that Riboku was related to Shin? -
The national treasure swords were apparently forged from meteor metal. Ouki doesn't hold one.

There wont be any new (translated) chapters today, because someone on Turnip Farmers is sick. So very likely the next ones will come on Thursday again.

! From my very limited understanding of (traditional) Chinese, I think Xin tells him that he won't be King or doesn't have qualifications because he doesn't have "(something I can't read in quotes)". Lu then asks him what that is. Not sure about Xin's response before Lu brushes him off.

Only spoiler tags and no chapter release from turnip. Kill me already.

Chapter 378 has been scanlated to english
It's pretty rough but at least I got a better understanding of whats going on than by just looking at the raws.

Is that the only chapter translated ahead of trunip farmer's?
Sen manga has translated quite a few chapters ahead of turnip farmer's.
-
Yeah I'm definitely not seeing Senmanga's scanlations for Kingdom unless you're talking about their RAW cache.

Which is why I said translated and not scanlated. The translations are there in their kingdom forums.

No lie, I didn't even know Sen Manga's forums worked, mainly because the site is a pain in the ass to navigate.

Chapter 377 has been scanlated so I guess whoever's doing this is going retroactively up to turnip farmers latest release.

Chapters 373-378 have been scanlated on mangabird.

I am lost, hopefully someone can help. I have finished chapter 332. I am noticing all the posts for future chapters getting scanlated, but were some chapters missed over? Because I cannot locate 333+ to save my life.

333 isnt released yet.
Turnipfarmers are scanlating and are currently up to chapter 332. They release on Thursday and Sundays at 1 PM UTC/GMT. There were no releases for the last two sessions due to sickness.
The posts refer to another forum whose forums have all the chapters translated just not scanlated. Someone related scanned in reverse order starting from the latest chapter at the time(378) and are "up to" 373.
Chapters 333-372 are not scanlated. If you want to read the Japanese raws or English scripts those are available on the net somewhere, probably senmanga's forums.

You're reading the scanlations of Turnip Farmer, like me. Someone in MangaBird decided to start scanlating from the latest arc in japan.

I am no longer confused, thanks all!

My god, those mangabird scanlations are bad…
I don't like TF much because of their weird choices with names and shit and how shitty they were to me, but they look great in comparison to that. Course they're also using digital volume raws and all that. And like, actually translating into proper English. And not typesetting with the text aligned to the left.
-
I swear everyone's face looks "darker" in the mangabird version.
Maybe it's just the bad scans?
-
Ouhon, not bad…
-
! I wasn't able to ressist and read my first ahead of TF scans chapter. They tested each other simply but by choreograph it was weird for Ouhon to neglect Shin's slash like that.
! I hope this arc puts strains on that spiral cutting guy. Not much Qin generals gets to have a full-fledged fights, both physically and mentally. -
What rank is Ouhon now?
-
What rank is Ouhon now?
! Looks like he's in command of 5000 troops. Also, LOL at Kyoukai yawning.
