Though I kinda like that theory it has a few catches:
-how would the WG know what Hody had planned with those ES? They didn't know that Noah would be destroyed too, because not even Hody had calculated VDD's "insanity".
-if Hody had been on Reverie he would have killed many kings of the WG and the only benefit the WG would have from Hody's havoc is the bad reputation of the merfolk. But they'd have lost many powerful allies against enemies like the Revs just because they "helped" Hody.
-I can't imagine that Hody would take help from any human. He even despiced Hatchen for being friend with Rayleigh. Hody obtain pills from a human sounds not really plausible to me.

Some possible explinations:

1. I meant going down and basically laying waste to the whole island. I didn't mean they would have known VDD would send Noah over the island, but rather that it could be conveniently destroyed in order to "Prevent any pirates from escaping". Also, I assume the WG has enough influence to find out that a bunch of Fishman wanted to launch a coup, or possibly even gave them inspiration (i'll explain in a sec)
2. I assume they wouldn't get this far. If they're planning on using Hodi as cover, they'd probably kill him the second he reached the surface. Its not like the WG has been big on procedure when it comes to criminals, and I doubt anyone would raise a fuss about it given the rather large evidence that HOdi had bad intentions. Also, don't the ES have really bad long-term consequences? It might be that the WG was betting on Hodi and crew being too weak after taking them to actually do any damage post-coup.
3. There are a couple of ways they could have gotten them to him, even without him knowing precisely where they came from. Back in 644, Hodi says "The Heavens have chosen us" when presenting the ES, which could imply he "found" them at random in a sort of fell-out-of-the-sky moment, but with them really coming from the WG. In fact, the WG could have possibly picked Hodi Jones to give them too, thus enabling the entire coup in the first place.

Its just a theory anyway. This arc could go practically anywhere right now, and I'm very interested in what will happen next.

I think we wont get straw hats vs MJ this early. This will happen after luffy becomes a bit more matured and learns a bit about the history. So just before luffy n co set out to raftel the WG will make their last stand like a final fight maybe kidnap some crew member? then he raids MJ something along those lines

If a normal human has 10 douriki, and fishmen are 10 times stronger, and Hodi is naturally 10 times stronger than a fishman, and he took 10 ES, his douriki level would be 1,024,000. Maybe he is only 8 times as strong as a normal fishman, because his grip was definitely in CP9 level, and maybe he only took 6 ES, that means, he has 51,200 douriki. I think that's fair… Unless Oda doesn't undestand exponential power, so he means a linear increase from each ES. Then 1000 base douriki + 9 ES = 10,000 douriki. I think that's alright.

Please tell me you're not calculating douriki levels. Please. PLEASE.

I posted sumwhere above that if the WG would handle this situation right, it could benefit in many ways from Hodys rampage @ MJ.
Tiger's death as well as Jinbe's joinin the shichibukai may have been an obstacle to the WG's goals bout FI. On the other hand Sengoku was upset that Jinbe turned his back on them, so he really believed in the relationship between humans and merfolk.
Anyway I hope a few of our questions get answered in the next chapters. I don't think the SHs will departure in 2 or 3 chapters. It'd be most disappointing end of a promising arc in whole OP-history.
We'll c the reverie 4 sure, I just doubt that the SHs will be there too. And is there any chance that we will see Aladdin in the current timeline? He's also a doctor who could produce pills…
Don't get me wrong, I dont want him to be the super-endboss-villain of this arc nevertheless I'd like to know what happened to him or if he still is on FI. He was in thearmy just like Jinbe but Arlong also implied that he could have been a slave just like Tiger, carrying a deep grudge against certain humans.

Douriki never mattered much anyway. For Lucci vs Luffy, it just meant the battle would take a lot longer than Luffy vs Blueno.

(I wanted to calculate the evasive rate of Luffy to Hodi's attacks, but I'm too sleepy to do that)

we are like 250 chapters away from the only arc who got douriki mentioned, but still people are referring to it.
Back then it was only stated so we find out the strength-ranking of the CP9. And Zoan-DFs haven't even been considered back then (Jabura in wolf hybrid mode might have been stronger than Kaku in giraffe hybrid mode, cause his "animal" (the wolf) is ordinary more dangerous than Kaku's "animal" (giraffe).)

In AP-arc Kuroobi said sth like he has the 40th dan in fishman karate whereas Sanji stated that Zeff might have the 400th dan at minimum. So strength-measurement is sumtimes mentioned within this story.
We'll maybe get sumday another form of strength-measurement again with another unit than douriki (lets say for example: hanswurst), then sumone will say sth like:"Oh, this villain has 9000 hanswurst, but his first mate is also strong with like 8600 hanswurst.

Another type of strength-measurement will come in the future 4 sure, this is shounen after all. But until then stop this douriki-BS. I'm already tired of that strength/bounty-lvl-discussion.

I know I am late like always, but I have to say great chapter!!! I am not much of a one shot montage, but it was great to see the SHP actually look like the dominant fighters without barely escaping a fight. Chap gets a 9/10
