hooray for warranty!
i got my mountain bike fixed for free, and the whole back wheel was replaced with a better one, so i was totally happy.
the ride is now smoother than ever too.

but about an hour ago i felt that my seat needed tightening, and i got my friend to help.
the bolt that runs through the seat joint fucking snapped while he was tightening. so now the seat just spins loosely.
my bike seems to be on a mission to stop me from riding it. :getlost:

and i found out when i got home that my new stand doesn't even reach the fucking floor well enough…
it's too short so the bike sorta tries to tip itself over because there's not enough balance.

Had a powercut about two hours ago and until now we'd been sat in the dark with four tiny candles, making shadow puppets xD Unfortunatly, this was the weekend my mum and her partner went away, so it was just me, my little sister and my mum's best friend (who is house sitting and making sure we're okay). Ended up calling the electric company and they sent a guy round to fix it. But man, was I glad I'd already saved the writing I'd been working on before the PC died.
Word of advice: Always have a few candles handy!

I actually liked the Hunter. He was a nice guy, and you could tell he cared for his dogs, but… yeah. And Chief was cute. I used to watch that movie all the time in fourth grade. Every day. I'd watch it, along with Little Mermaid. God, I love Disney...

Let's see… went biking with my dad early in the morning. Then visited his parents and got to see some cute black kittens there. Wish I had pictures. We ate at Uncle John's and visited Borders since they're closing. I got some manga as an early birthday gift. Yup, this has been a great day indeed.

I have a disturbing notion in the back of my head that I've never actually watched Oliver and Company. :0 I keep trying to convince myself I just a poor memory, but this paranoia is a small part of why I decided to attempt a Disney marathon. Needless to say I don't regret it. but I wish I had the DVDs for convenience. we had lots of VHS tapes, but Lion King is the only one I distinctly remember as Disney. Oh and Rescuers Down Under, which no longer seems like a good movie.

It just randomly started hurting. I think possibly yesterday and now it's worse. like I said, I don't do anything strenuous so I have clue what caused it.

I worked in a gigantic thunderstorm today.

Now I completely understand people that want to shop before a giant storm hits, and I perfectly understand people that would want to shop after a storm subsides.

Now why in the name of Odin's celestial wang would so friggin' many people want to shop DURING a gigantic thunderstorm? UGH.

Otherwise my day was boring and exhausting. I move into my new apartment in 3 days (well, soon to be 2 days). I'm looking forward to living away from home, especially when I am planning for things I'd rather my parents not know about~ :happy:

Eric is one of the few male leads in Disney who actually did something IMO - and against URSULA, of all villains.

I don't talk about him that often, but Abu is very nearly on the same level as Mushu for me. I adore them both so very much.

I can quote the final scene from Lilo & Stitch from memory. And it makes me cry every single time. I have two Stitch keychains, one with him dressed (quite well) as Johnny Depp. <3

For some reason, though, I never really liked Cinderella, Snow White, or Sleeping Beauty all that much. They're classics, definitely, but they wouldn't make my top five.

! Celebrated my grandpa's b-day at Denny's today. He's 88 and all his daughters and much of their children attended.
While there my cousin (as usual) started bitching at me. I was standing 5 feet away from a different cousin's infant baby while holding my 3 yr old niece who was wanting to look at said baby. The bitching cousin started telling me how I didn't need to bring the 3 year old near the baby because the 3 year old had a fever. No duh. My niece was wanting to see the baby. There's a difference between looking at shoving her in the baby's face hun. She then proceeded to complain how I always have to have the last word seeing as I pointed that out.
! Guess who went home to find her brand new puppy had shit/chewed up/caused mayhem all throughout her living room.
Karma apparantly found that quip to be the breaking point. I loled. But yeah, this particular cousin always has a habit of asking the world of me and giving bullshit in return and is always on my case over horribly stupid things. I've paid bills for you! Jeez! Seriously, cuz. Stop trying to run my life I already have a mom who's 20x better at her job than you. kthnx.

Smoke. Lots of it. So I'm looking at the smoke, trying to figure out where it comes from. Then, I see flames! It scared me, called my mom since he isn't home but luckily, she's not there.

I'm still unsure where the smoke comes from. I hope it won't come this way.

Yes, stupid Windows... I got Windows7 and for the most part it's great cuz it's a million times faster than my old laptop, but I hate it for different reasons, like the stupid "stage" and "weather icons," the history tracker, ridiculous difficulty in setting a freaking webpage background, the fact that my cursor will randomly move when I'm typing.... blegh.
