I'm not liking the vibe of the forums ever since this flashback. I'm personally loving it so far, granted it's not as "badass" as I thought it would be, but just being badass by itself does not necessarily = good writing, and the Straw Hats are the ones who get the badass stuff reserved for them (besides authoritative people in One Piece, anyway, actually screw it a lot of people in One Piece get "their moment" but you know what I mean). I must concede though, I would have liked to see Fisher Tiger climbing the Red Line or freeing some slaves. As long as someone else takes his place with one of those feats (Luffy) in the future, I'll be fine. But for now, yeah, a little down that I didn't get to see that, as honestly amazing as I thought this chapter was. The thing I'm most excited about is what happens after the flashback, though. ^^ I really cannot wait to see the Strawhats' reaction to all of this. I'm also wondering what Oda's going to do with the obvious parallel between Sanji taking okama blood and Fisher Tiger refusing human blood. Both were hated by the receiver, but maybe it was just to show that Fisher Tiger hated humans even more than Sanji hated okamas, which is quite a feat.
Hm.. My problem with the flash back isn't that it's not badass or anything like that it's that I would like to have spent more time with Fisher Tiger and his crew and Koala. Take it a bit slower.
I know a lot of people want to get this over with, so we can "go on with the story", but I enjoy flashbacks a lot.
@Just_Gabe:
Completely possible when the Admirals have to climb who knows how many km of rock.
Not sure what you're getting at and it doesn't really matter, but if I recall there's some sort of elevator type thing to get to the top of the Red Line.
I just can't think of much else that Kizaru could make Arlong do that would further his hatred towards humans?
Why would Kizaru make him do anything like that?
16 chars of My God is this debate still going on??
What was the point of "16 chars of"?
