Oh, it was already out. I didn't even noticed.
So is it just me, or did this episode scream "Bondage Fetish" to anyone else?

It's just you .
What's with her eyes?
Nevermind, boobs I don't want to know.
just finished watching the latest episode
please don't tell me pierrot is going to do what i think they're going to do!
are they seriously gonna give each person infinite dream an episode? starting with friggin Tenten?
Considering thats what the actual manga should have done, giving each character a final spotlight and time to shine? That the actual manga war and pain arcs both spectacularly failed to do despite ample opportunity?
Good for them.

The only problem with this is the fact that Studio Pierrot is incapable of writing a solid story for any original Naruto related content.
The only problem is you'd have to still be watching the anime in the first place to even know.
I haven't watched since the the Naruto/Sasuke fight pre-timeskip.

If they reveal something about their hopes and dreams and personality, sure.

Oh god more filler.
Can we look back on some of the best moments on a series that once had big potential? I had very high hopes for Shippuden and loved what I saw when it started (despite the bad hiccups it had like Sasuke being… sasuke). Hell even Sakura was starting to look promising. The big thing that really stood out for me was Naruto's training. You would expect the main character being sidelined like that would hurt the series considerably, but for me it was the best part all with a very satisfying payoff when Naruto fights Pain with sage mode. Just the ideas behind his training and him putting them into effect like using his clones to multiply the training load, that makes sense. Using clones to master his Rasenshuriken, also makes sense. Him having clones sit and gather sage chakra and then teleporting them with a scroll to keep his Sage made, brilliant. Him THROWING the Rasenshuriken and destroying one of the Pains, stuff like that was fantastic. The build from the beginning of Shippuden all the way till he does the Kurama training was actually really well done and it gave a sense of progression in his strength as opposed to stuff being pulled from his ass like in series 1 (not that it still didn't happen). I loved that they tried to suppress Kurama's chakra so he can focus on his own instead. I loved that despite this, he unwittingly used the chakra and the tension of the seal being broken every major fight was high. It actually felt good to see Naruto succeed and work.
I remember my reaction to him getting the Fox chakra mode: "What about Sage mode?" They just established it and it was unique, but suddenly they want to give him a completely unrelated powerup which felt silly. It a shame about it going downhill all the way to the end but, eh, I still enjoyed some parts and that's okay with me. Any other favorites?
Everything about Jiraiya's infiltration of the village hidden by the rain was great. We finally got to see a real top class ninja mission and Jiraiya actually using his jutsu's to be stealthy. His fight with Pein was really entertaining and he really lived up to his name as being an elite ninja on the level of all the other Kages. THe one good thing I think Kishimoto did well with the war arc was resisting the urge to bring back a zombie Jiraiya. His death scene was great and the all the closure we got with his character and his journey would have been ruined if had come back.

Thats because Jiraiya never died. I'm amazed Kishi never got around to revealing that.
Maybe it was his plan and then he abandoned it once the war stretched into its third year.
well, Pierrot is actually doing it, they're giving each character infinite dream not 1 but 2 filler episodes
why 2 episodes?
why did Tenten dream take place in Naruto road to ninja world?
why did I spend 40 mins watching Tenten fillers?
so many question that i don't know the answers to, all i know is next week it's Killer B turn
Naruto shippuuden will have new opening and ending theme songs in October! Do you know what that means? At earliest Naruto anime will end in the end of December!

I always loved all of the [X]-Tail modes Naruto went through. The design was neat. I remember liking Hidan and Kakuzu, and some of Tobi's antics. I liked Yamato. The first arc was also alright, especially as it felt like Sakura really had evolved from the first half. I was actually quite fond of her for the first half, it wasn't until the end I had to give in and admit there was no way to redeem her anymore. Hinata saving Naruto was neat, and of course Gai's last stand during the final war.
And Kakashi. Among all the things Kishimoto has screwed up over the years, Kakashi was not one of them, thank god.
I'll add the bunny lady too, because the sudden villain reveal was so ridiculous it's honestly hilarious in hindsight.

Well that's if and only if you didn't mind how useless Kakashi was usually rendered because of his Sharingan which made him even more useless when he lost it.

He's better off useless than screwed up in some weird plot. I guess I'm judging him more on the ways Kishimoto could've made it worse than the ways he could've done it better in this case.
I noticed no one here said anything about the movie. Does anyone at least heard what the japanese viewers thought about it? Or do you guys prefer to avoid spoilers for the time it cames out?

It will have some pretty amazingly animated fights.

I'll admit it, seeing Sasuke practically lose every fight he had in Shippuden was pretty hilarious and satisfying. They may not have taken his ego down a peg, but it sure made me feel good seeing his smug face kicked in.

Well, I'm just gonna say there's nothing in there that made Naruto fights interesting. Just plain, boring fireworks and a bunch of moves that don't do much. You could almost call it filler fighting.

It is amazingly animated, not amazing fight itself.
Sure thing its fireworks and not thought through tactic battle as its movie fight..
So Karin's infinite dream is just a flashback to her childhood & past where she get abused & mistreated and eventually dies?
hahahahahahahahahahaha, this terrible why am i laughing
poor Karin, she can't have nice things, not even in her dreams
Maybe when they finish the Naruto anime they will go back and finish Bleach?

I don't know, they still have the light novels and Gaiden if they wish to continue the anime but it's possible
I hate to be the one to take Nardo back to the first page, but:
http://readms.com/r/the_uchiha_sasuke_sharingan_chronicles/001/3001/32
That was better than Sasukes entire main-series tenure
Who could have thought that "Don't underestimate the Uchiha" can be a funny punchline.
I'm going to be real honest here. It could have been shittier.
As always… better than the original.
A 19 day mystery "Next Generation" countdown has begun.
Jump Festa is in 19 days… Boruto anime?
Oh ffs, they're actually going to give Naruto the DBS treatment.
Why can't they let the series DIE!!!!
Well, in both Naruto and DB death is cheap in-universe. So I guess it has to be cheap out-of-universe, too… :getlost:
please let naruto rest in peace

Death really isn't all that cheap in Naruto. At least nothing like Dragon Ball. Other than Pain and Edo Tensei, people who die when they were killed stay dead. The only other incident that comes to mind is the Sound Four chase, which was more a One Piece style They Were Never Dead in the First Place deal.

man the sasuke retrieval arc was the best naruto arc imo
Wouldn't they need to end Naruto anime in order to make a Boruto one? And it seems they are not really into it… if I'm not mistaken, they didn't even defeated Madara in the anime yet, they must be fighting him for years now.
They are in the middle of doing a terrible dream filler arc. They want to milk the teat dry.
I'm… not surprised at all.

Yes, being able to resurrect every single named character in the series that ever died (except Jiraiya) as an completely unkillable zombie at their peak with their full memories, unlimited chakra, and with no side effects whatsoever or cancellation ability didn't make death cheap at all.
Nor did the death of 50,000 fodder in one day being basically brushed aside as nothing.

That's not how you spell "chunin exam".

Which reminds me, My Hero Academia is a thing.
We can all move on now.

But those moments were the exceptions, not the rule. Compare to Dragon Ball where resurrection was a matter of getting the Dragon Balls together. Resurrection after death was pretty much expected after a while.
Plus, outside of Madara, Edo Tensei was more zombie apocalypse than mass resurrection.
The only return from death was Kakashi's, after he talked to his dad by the fire, and then returned to life because "he still had stuff to do".
Oh and Obito's, but it wasn't permanent.

Wasn't Obito a case of "not actually dead"? I honestly forget, but I remember him having to recover under Madara and Zetsu's TLC.
To me "Death is Cheap" means people are resurrected from death about as often as they actually die. Being revealed to have survived is borderline, but not quite the same thing. Though on second thought that can count if it reaches One Piece levels where a character crying over someone's death is given an eye roll by readers, who assume they'll eventually be shown to be alive. I don't think Naruto ever pulled that version much other than the Sasuke Retrieval arc, where Choji and Neji were treated as dying.

And half the population of Konoha that Pain killed.
Anyway, I'd say it's less that death is cheap in Naruto and more that Kishi tends to be reluctant to kill people off. And the deaths he does go through with are awkwardly handled and meaningless.
