Kakashi's face would've had some effect if Kishi's style wasn't reduced to copying the same features onto everyone.

Dude, when was the last time Kishi ever putted Kakashi's cool dogs in a fight?

Interviewer: How is Sarada? [Or what about Sarada? T/N: In the context of design.]
Kishimoto: Rather than cuteness, I wanted to project a slightly dark but strong hearted sense to Sarada. In my head, she is like a girl version of Sasuke. However, as it would be scary to have a Sasuke-like girl, I gave Sarada elements of Sakura as well. Although spectacled people are commonly given the image of "cute without glasses", in Sarada's case I aimed to make her cute even with her glasses on. Her clothes have a sense of Sakura, don't they?↑サスケとサクラの娘、サラダ。クールな部分は父親譲り。血継限界も継いでいるのか!?
Sarada, daughter of Sasuke and Sakura. Coolness inherited from her father. She also seems to have inherited his bloodline limits!? -
@.access:
His name is Mitsuki and he will be the third in the team with Boruto and Sarada.
Hmmm, is it just me or does he have the same hair color as Kabuto, and same eye color when he is in that sage mode? Confirmed Kabuto relation.

Why didn't anyone ask why the hell he named her Salad.

Sasuke might be a terrible dad, but fathers being away is just a Shounen trope. I haven't read Dragonball, but from your description Goku and Vegeta seem no different than Sasuke. Not to mention half of the Sraw Hats' fathers, Ryuuken, Hohenheim, etc.
Goku is more like an older brother than a father to his children. This is partly due to the fact that Saiyans aren't naturally family-oriented. In Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, we learn more about Saiyans and how – other than with the Royal Family -- familial relations don't mean anything to Saiyans. In fact, it was rare that Bardock, as a low-class Saiyan, had a wife and had some sort of fondness for his children -- or at least, Goku. Therefore, Goku naturally doesn't know how to form a human-like parental bond with his children, which is why he acts more like an elder sibling than a "real" father to Gohan and Goten. His relationship with his own wife, Chi Chi, is also that of a close friend than husband and wife. Other than the fact that Goku mated with her,he doesn't really treat Chi Chi differently than he does Bulma or Krillin.
Monkey D. Dragon is a dangerous revolutionary who is warring with the entire world government. It's not the safest place to be raising a child, and Luffy was better off in Garp's care.
The same goes for Yassop, who even says "I miss [Usopp] too. But I cannot help him because of one reason, the pirate flag has called me to stand up to this point!" Gecko island itself was but a small place with not much going on. We don't know if Yassop left in order to provide for his family (i.e. sending money back to them).
Kubo is really bad with writing any character, so, I won't try to defend or insult Ryuuken. For what it's worth, though, Ishida had a very loving grandfather. Likewise, Ichigo has a loving father.
Van Hohenheim left to defeat the homonculus. Like Dragon, he had to sacrifice his own family life for the betterment of the entire world. Van also told his wife that he was leaving and promised he would return to her one day.
-
So Kakashi's face has been revealed. Meh
Huh….Well that's underwhelming. I can't recall any other characters that have his additional feature. But it's not really worth revealing?
Also to add to the list of absintee fathers. Ging...He acknowledged his son but he just didn't bother to be there for any reasin lol. To make it worse he basically purposely endangered his kid a couple times.

Oh, so that kid with the ghost hair has a name after all.
The Official Guestbook Shinden Fū no Sho book that began being passed out to visitors on Saturday to the Naruto-ten exhibition in Tokyo's Mori Tower revealed a new character for the upcoming Boruto -Naruto the Movie- film named Mitsuki (seen left in the image below.) The character's name literally means "full moon" in the Japanese language.
And an amazing backstory!
An enigma shrouded in many mysteries. A boy with composed expression… His slightly-long white hair has a waviness to it.

good photoshop… -
Imagining Sasuke looking like that, as a black thick stick with no arms, is super hilarious

-
Every time I look at Karin, I have to remind myself that she has red hair.
Also need to restrain myself from punching my screen.
-
Naruto's family is kind of adorable, also I really do think Kishi did a good job with Salad's design. She does look like she's inherited traits from both Sasuke and Sakura, it also helps that she's not a hideous freak like Sai and Ino's child, good lord what a hard life he's going to have.
-
Naruto's a fucking giant
-
So how old are these kids supposed to be? Because I don't know any twelve year-old that only comes up to their parents' thighs.
-
@Cyan:

That's chapter 700 bolt, I think. In Sasuke's picture there was chapter 700 Sarada.

@Galaxy:

He is evil isn't he?
-
god, like i really love that the kid's name is Salad
honestly all this dumb crap is just making me like this girl 10000000x more than i ever liked sasuke
-
Did you really?
Well, I did say cared, past tense :-p. But though Kishi may have squandered their potential horribly and shafted their characters overall, I once upon a time was invested in them, which is more than I can say for their spawn…and just on sheer principle, I'd have found the parents getting paneltime in the epilogue more fair, being the official "main cast" and all.
-
god, like i really love that the kid's name is Salad
Keeping with the theme of Kishi using names/elements from Hinduism/Buddhism, apparently her name is also based off a Hindu goddess.
-
@Cyan:

I know a 6th grader who's at least 5'7 and he did not stay back any grades or start late. No joke.
-
god, like i really love that the kid's name is Salad
Too easy to make "tossing salad" jokes.
Why didn't anyone ask why the hell he named her Salad.
Probably for the same reason no one asks why he named the main character after a ramen condiment.
So Kakashi's face has been revealed. Meh
Wow so the mask's makes Kakashi look older than his uncovered face does.
-
Too easy to make "tossing salad" jokes.
Was considering changing the title to that, but then I decided that'd be too easy, so I went with what's up now
-
I wonder what a bastard salad tastes like though.
-
like your mom
-
-
-
!
-
How tall is Sarada in this picture? She looks huge for no reason.
-
Salad being the bastard child of Sasuke and Karin would be a really great twist storytellingwise for a shonen manga. I wouldn't have thought Kishimoto might have the balls to pull something like that off.

As I said, haven't read Dragon Ball. But even then, Uchiha Clan isn't known for it's parenting skills either. Actually, Ninjas as a whole are not good parents.
Neither are Sakura or Karin anything more than former teammates to Sasuke. Seems pretty similar to me.Monkey D. Dragon is a dangerous revolutionary who is warring with the entire world government. It's not the safest place to be raising a child, and Luffy was better off in Garp's care.
Ah, raising Sabo is fine. But doing the same for Luffy is a problem.
So, let's just throw him in a jungle in care of mountain bandits. That's much more safe.
"I miss you son. But I wanna have fun and adventures. So, suck it."
That's one of the most selfish reasons to leave your family I have ever read.Oda never really clarified how Usopp was able to live without money. It doesn't seem likely that Yasopp is sending them money from the New world. Especially when nothing of the sort was hinted at by the villagers, Usopp or Kurahadol.
Kubo is really bad with writing any character, so, I won't try to defend or insult Ryuuken. For what it's worth, though, Ishida had a very loving grandfather. Likewise, Ichigo has a loving father.
Ichigo doesn't have a loving father. He doesn't have a father in the first place. Aizen created him in order to have a decent foe. Why can't people see it?
On a more serious note, Isshin is like Gai. They are not fathers. They are overgrown kids.
Fathers are sent away so it's easier for the writer to make the kids go on dangerous quests without the fathers butting in. Isshin or Gai don't really provide much resistance to that kind of story line.
Since the entire cast cannot be turned into overgrown kids like Gai or Isshin, they are either killed(Minato, Fugaku), made to go away(Sasuke, Yasopp, Dragon, etc.) or still present but not given any panel time(Shikaku, Chouza, Inoichi, Sakura's dad).Van Hohenheim left to defeat the homonculus. Like Dragon, he had to sacrifice his own family life for the betterment of the entire world. Van also told his wife that he was leaving and promised he would return to her one day.
Sasuke must have told Sakura something. In the start of the series, Hohenheim seemed as much of a jerk father as Sasuke is now.
-
I am liking her most in the new gen…both in look and attitude....
Boruto seems more like a spoiled brat(though somewhat expected). -
I am liking her most in the new gen…both in look and attitude....
Boruto seems more like a spoiled brat(though somewhat expected).I wouldn't expect any less than Naruto and Hinata to have a super spoiled first born. Naruto probably tried very hard early on to have the family he never got. To give him the life he dreamed of as a kid. And Hinata to probably make up for her father pretty much having no faith in her too. And then there's probably everyone else that would spoil the first born of the savior of the world.
Seriously how were there never any psychiatrists or psychologists or even support groups? They'd clean up in this universe. 90% of the villains just needed someone to talk to.
-
Yo guys, that bit about Sakura raisin' Karin's spawn for real?
-
-
I just noticed Sakura put herself immediately in front of Karin in that picture. There's like multiple layers of how pathetic Sakura is. At this point, Kishi must be aware and is intentionally writing Sakura like an abused stalker housewife.
-
Mating should be forbidden for Uchihas.
-
It would have been so hilarious if Salad recognized Suigetsu as her mom.
Where's Jugo in all of this?
-

Kishimoto probably took a page out of Japan's actual feeling towards people who seek professional help. Hence why there are none in the Narutoverse.

I got to agree.
Kishimoto's treatment of Sakura has gotten so bad, that I can't even blame it on his writing incompetence anymore.
It's gotta be intentional.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Japan has a stigmatic perception of people who seek any professional help for things like depression.
Explains the cast of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

As I said, haven't read Dragon Ball.
What the hell is wrong with you. WHy are you hanging around in a Naruto thread reading Naruto chapters when you haven't done that yet? ANd Bleach?
Cripes.
Go, get thee to thy Dragonball. And do not come back until thou hast read it.

And Cross Ange…..................sorry.
Nah, plain ol' brain damage is a better explanation there.

Actually, I haven't read Bleach either. Just watched the Anime. It got too bad to read the actual Manga. (Is the last arc good?)
Even in Naruto, I have only read the last part because the Chuunin fillers were getting annoying.I have recently started reading Dragon Ball but I am still at the beginning.
