Bombadill is awesome. He adds no real plot purpose but instead contributes mystery and magic and helps flesh out Tolkien's world which is full of ancient, forgotten powers and magics.

@James:
Don't worry, you're not alone. I have seen plenty of forums/threads where people wrote how this last arc was "the most epic and best arc ever" or "how emotional deep" the whole Obito stuff was or how "amazing twist" Kaguya was (not joking…) or how the ending "is just perfect and a great example of Kishimoto's story-telling abilities" and other stuff. You just need to look for them. Also I think you might be more able to handle such posts than me, my poor forehead was red like a tomato an had lots of bumps after finishing xx pages of reading such posts.
Thanks for the comic! :D
Lol at Kakashi's reasoning though the thing is, it totally does make sense. XDDD
Man, I wished it had been that ending. One of those two dieing after they become friends again, maybe even something of Sasuke telling Naruto that he doesn't want to die while crying and Naruto cries too unable to safe Sasuke with his jesus power, and all he is able to do is forgive Sasuke, tell him that for him they never stopped to be friends and maybe even going against his own advice and starts to move to hold Sasuke's hand as Sasuke bleeds out as he tries to tell Naruto stuff we already knew and had heard for like 5 times by now.
At least there would have been REAL consequences and not a pseudo loss of limbs they get replaced anyway. And Sasuke bleeding out/dieing would have ended those awful debates I have read whenever Naruto or Sasuke "truly" won that last fight of theirs. -_-I will! I don't know why people read something they hate.
-
I will! I don't know why people read something they hate.
Because it ends? XD
Nah, i read it for good old times sake as I do remember how much I enjoyed the first part of Naruto as a kid. Although as a teen I stopped buying Naruto volumes around the timeskip. I dunno but for me I felt somehow that the "original spirit" of the manga was lost and I couldn't like it as much as I did before. Now it ends and rereading the war arc, well, was somehow disappointing for me. I don't hate Naruto, I am disappointed by it. And I don't think the others here hate Naruto either, I think they are just frustrated with it and with many stuff Naruto did in the latest arc. And that is their good right as it is yours to like what they disliked.
I have to feel that as well with WT where many dislike the MC Osamu for being a weakass pussy while I enjoy that he can still remain a sense of justice while not being so strong like others or having an imba power-up.^^ -
I will! I don't know why people read something they hate.
Because we liked it once upon a time, were still invested and wanted to see how it ended, and thought the ending was much closer than it actually turned out to be.
-
It's like watching gore pictures, you know you shouldnt but you do it anyway.
-
I think if after the Pain arc, someone had been able to tell us "the series won't be over for another 5 years" a lot more of us would have been able to just drop it cold turkey right then.
But we'd assumed there were one, two short arcs left at that point and it'd be done within another year or so.
Geez, was Hinata's confession really more than 5 years ago?

Guys, guys, guys…
Two more days, three tops and it'll be over...

No, cause then we still have to wait for the movie.
-
Pfft, movie is non-canon. I'm not watching it.
-
Canonicity is not that clear in Naruto. Since the war started, we saw at least 4 characters from movies/fillers making an appearance in the manga - and one of the 7 Swords of the Mist that was presented in fillers
-

Considering the movie is apparently where all the character resolution takes place….
-

Come to think it, we can never be sure when the chapter releases will come out, so…screw it. I'm posting this now.
-

For fucking real? That is so lazy and cheap…
-
At the very least it seems to be getting hyped as where the Naruto/Hinata plotline is dealt with.
Guess we'll see.
-
At least we'll dispense with the weekly format. No more bashing our heads in every week. It is virtually over.
-
Glad I could get one more thread title change in before the end. Thanks.

This is what shipping will do to you. After 5-10 years of being throughly convinced of an ending that's not going to happen, confirmation bias will completely rot your brain from the inside out.

don't ship
don't tell me what i should not do!
-
What if that random girl poster is right?
Oh well, Naruto movies suck ass anyway.
-
Frankly, I'll never understand the passion and devotion people have for shipping. It's not something I could ever see myself caring about very much at all, but to each his own.
-
It's like watching gore pictures, you know you shouldnt but you do it anyway.
Midget porn actually.

I think the best ship I saw was from someone here, in the joined Naruto and Bleach thread. Chad x floor.
-
This sounds wrong, but if Naruto and Hinata gave birth to a chubby baby, would they name him Diabito?
-

Well, there are people that love shipping and they intentionally create them and get attached with them, but I believe the majority of people just gradually start noticing a pairing that they like and with time get more and more attached with it. Is the same thing as liking a character and liking a plot point in a story. Now, there are people that get attached to much, just like obsessive fans.

it's very simple:
-
I could understand shipping if the romances would have been done well from the start, but what is present in this series is not worthy of being so invested in any relationship between naruto, hinata, sakura and sasuke.
Oh and btw, it's almost really over, I still can't believe it. This thursday I will be happier reading the naruto chapters than I ever was doing it in the last 5 years probably.^^
-
it's very simple:
http://troll.me/images/ancient-alien-guy/women-thumb.jpgUhm, I'm a guy and I enjoy shipping. And I know a lot of other guys who enjoys shipping as well. :P

Liar!
Jokes aside: me too. As long as it serves the plot and the character development.
But as far as I've seen, girls seem to be the ones most invested in it and actually caring more about the coupling than the story itself. Essentially as long as their favorite coupling happens, they are happy. -
In Avatar at least, its because Katara and Zuko was just more interesting for both characters than Katara and Aang. (And more interesting as fallout for Aang as well)
Also, Tokka is the best.
-

Bleach really is somewhat of a Dragonball sucessor if you think about it.
Kubo even got those small details right. In DBZ it would be Krillin. -
I'm still a lifelong Beast Boy x Raven shipper (the cartoon version anyway, and if you watch TTG it's a good time to be one).
As for Naruto, I'll admit it, seeing Naruto and Hinata hookup is the only thing I'm legitimately interested in anymore
-
This post is deleted!
-
It's been 6 years. It's time to let go.
I let it go once the spinoff came around and they had kids.
I've been past it for years. Doesn't change the fact that Zuko and Katara WAS the more interesting dynamic, for a lot of reasons.
-
It's kind of annoying when someone gets banned and you don't know why. The curiosity!

DON'T SHIP
Hey! I know her! She's also on a french scantrad-group naruto forum I used to go when the manga was still good. If I remember well, I made her left the forum for some time years ago because I critized her judgement in one post. She's the biggest fangirl of the manga I've ever seen… and all she cares about is NaruSaku shipping. Never seen her talk about something else and she twists every tiny thing happening to use it as an obvious clue hinting at this pairing. It's literally impossible to debate with her.
... I think I should lurk back there when Naruto will be officially paired with Hinata. :ninja: -
NaruHina yay NaruSaku nay NaruSasu gay
-

Poor Yamcha, can't even win this one.
Yamcha gets a break because he was almost non existant during Z if you think about it.
Small cameos here and there. Gets killed by a BeanDude in a somewhat cowardly way, so he gets extra points. Got his ass kicked by A20 and that´s pretty much it (Also turned into chocolate by Cell and beaten by a Cell Jr., but the same happened to Krillin). Now Krillin… Man... Krillin...
-

In general if there's no obvious recent post, and the person banned has been around less than a week, it'll be because someone is an alt or there's something bad thats been reported behind the scenes.
In this case it was an alt.
Bleach really is somewhat of a Dragonball sucessor if you think about it.
Kubo even got those small details right. In DBZ it would be Krillin.Krillin won most of his fights until late Z. And while Yamcha actually never really won a fight, he at least had a lot of screentime.
Yajirobe might be a better choice. Helped out in one fight, then completely off-screened and forgot about after that.
-
Responding to a post I deleted because it felt like it wouldn't be as amusing as I thought it would after I hit post reply
Oh right, mods can read deleted posts.
I'll just go into the corner.

This guy right here got really good ship taste! I salute you, fellow Tokka shipper! :D
Ya heard the rumors that Sokka may be the father of Toph's second daugther? :PI'm still a lifelong Beast Boy x Raven shipper (the cartoon version anyway, and if you watch TTG it's a good time to be one).

Hm, I had always been a Robin x Raven shipper myself, dunno they just had the "something" in the cartoon version and somehow it just made "click" with me when I saw those two on the show.^^
And yep, I always wanna see Naruhina confirmed at last. Mostly for Hinata though, Naruto is just the extra to make her happy. :P
-

Lies! Yamcha defeated the Invisible Man!
Also Yajirobe never actually got defeated i think. A better record than both Krillin and Yamcha.
-

Made the smart move; retire early undefeated and untied.
Oh wait, didn't he lose to Hero?

Well he could always say that the only guy who beat him was god himself.
-
Lies! Yamcha defeated the Invisible Man!
Only with help.
Also Yajirobe never actually got defeated i think. A better record than both Krillin and Yamcha.
Only because he never actually faced anyone stronger than a Piccollo minion.
-
kiba is the perfect Yamcha, he even has a dog theme and a pet companion
and rock lee is tots Piccolo, that guy who was a rival of the main character and in the struggle to become the strongest and then then gets bumped down so that the main character can only focus on one rivalry…..
vegetasasukeactually that's probs goes for nenji and garaa and everyone you thought would remain relevant to the plot who was in a similar circumstance where you thought they're growth would be expanded upon and have a good influence on the series who ultimately got ignored through the entirety of part 2
-
final chapter is next week, right?
-
final chapter is next week, right?
the official release for the last two chapters are next week, but the internet will likely have them by Thursday at the latest. The last two chapters will be released simultaneously.
-
Lol,Sasuke poked Sakura's head..
Pairing war should be over now.. -
We're about to be set free, guys!
Set free!
-
@All:
We're about to be set free, guys!
Set free!
We still got that movie which is the REAL ENDING or something stupid like that.
And even then, there's nothing stopping Kishi from doing a part 3 (or heck, the anime studio just running ahead and doing a part 3)
