I find it funny how the Movie 10 tracklist basic sums up the entire movie, it's all a big case of "Let's give everything away in the title."

Does anyone else get irritated at how they incorporate the film soundtracks into the anime series?
For example, Film 7 was very mechanical sounding to match the characters and setting of the movie. Then throughout the episodes after, most noticeably when fighting CP9, all these mechanical sounding BGM pieces were being thrown in, it just seemed so unfitting. I can understand why they were put it, to stretch the budget, and so that older pieces of bgm don't become repetitive and tired within the series. It's been done with countless Toei animation products.
I love hearing the BGM from the first 100 episodes or so, the melodies were a lot stronger and more recognizable. Some of films soundtracks (Film 4 particularly) re-orchestrate and re-arrange some of the common themes which can be attributed to the series very well. Could be one of the reasons why Film 4 is well received.
However with the recent films such as Strong World and Film Z, there really isn't many traits of original melodies found from the beginning of the series, instead it more music to accompany the action rather than the character or emotions.Overall I feel that the show loses it's charm when these film pieces are heard in the series, especially with so many serious toned pieces, it's a little dull for One Piece.
Does anyone else feel strongly about how the music has changed and affected the series as a whole? -

No. And you're probably the only one.
I like the original pieces the show started out with, but they're nowhere near as good as most of the ones brought in by the movies. In fact, the soundtrack before (I want to say Water 7) is disgustingly repetitive and weak to me. I can see why they did it and it works; I consider One Piece to have some of the best OST in all of anime because of it.
Also "Giant Stronghold, Takeoff!" _is_ Blackbeard's theme. Call the constable on me; see if I give a damn.

Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Brooke, Shanks, all have their own unique themes. It's an confusing mess, people just assume that they are the themes because of false Youtube titles. Blackbeard doesn't have a theme, his BGM is shared with tons other villain's, is more of just a generic villain theme taken from the Movie, it's probably Ratchet's.

The actual theme is much stronger and is iconic of the character.In the rare case with Franky, his 'theme' suits his character very well, but this was when they got lazy with the anime's music, as it was already from the anime's soundtrack years before:
It wasn't until Thriller Bark that they created some BGM, then again recently when they reached the new world, but still very few. It's extremely uncreative and cheap considering how much the anime has progressed and expanded.
Obviously they don't have the budget to write pieces for all of the main characters, but should fans try to compensate for it?Point is most of these 'themes' are just for the Youtube hits, as the actual title of the tracks are a lot less search friendly.

Well if you want to get really technical and anal, Usopp doesn't have a theme at all (his eyecatch jingle was taken from Nami's) and Franky's theme is actually that slow guitar music.

I love Shanks' character song. I remember in Episode 225 when Luffy was comforting Foxy, a different version of Shanks' theme played. Was it from a movie?

Yes they used it in this game when you use Whitebeard, just like in the anime when Luffy defeats Crocodile.
By the way i already have the other music, because this game, aside from Marineford, is the same as the Wii version and i ripped the soundtrack for both One Piece Unlimited cruise episode 1 and episode 2 back in the day, but i have them on another computer, once i will get them back i'll upload

Appreciate it, but that isn't what I'm looking for. That's the first game in the series released on PS1. The one I'm looking for is the fourth in the series released on the GameCube and PS2 subtitled "Rush!" in Japan, and the only one released in the US before Grand Adventure.
I searched long and hard for it on Google and VGM sharing websites I know of, and I still can't find it. I used to have it, but I lost all my data due to my old HDD crashing…
