Goa Oukoku is Goa Kingdom in japanese, not the name of Dragon's ship.

"Chirurg" in Romaji would be "shirurugu" or "hirurugu" (I'm not sure how the German ch-sound is written in Romaji). "hirurugu" sounds pretty similar to "hiruruku" –> Hiluluk. So yeah, it's pretty obvious that Oda had "Chirurg" in mind. Not "Heilung" or a mix between "Chirurg" and "Heilung".

Yeah like Proto-Chopper as well though I can't see how he could possibly be a doctor. I mean he'd be a zebra-reindeer hybrid … so he'd be (just) a strange animal without the ability to talk ... but maybe that's the root for the "Chopper is just the Strawhat Pirates' pet"-joke

Absolutely. Maple Reed doesn't look like a Fishwoman, she looks like a generic human female who accidentally stumbled into in Trafalgar Law's Room/Shambles while Law was in the process of "rearranging" Hachi!

Like i said before "Chirurg" fits more just from the pronouncing.
^Shi - roog^ (my god iam bad in phonetic spelling), there you also have your "toon" which you meaned would make "Heilung" more fitting.Afterall i guess Oda just combined a few word here to create that "Hiriluk" and combining "Chirurg" and "Heilung" could come rly close.
Lol, at rapper DoFla, i guess Oda was a bit inspired by Eminem while creating him, because in the Red-databook it was said that he would listen to his music.

I think there is a sketch of every one of the 43 new world captains. At least nearly every character there look like characters that you can see in the war in the background, there is something written over the sketch, which could be their name, but It cant be canon as it is a sketch.

Some of the sketches are hard to tell what character that is but many of them you can compare that appeared in the background of the war. In page 360 to 363 there are full size sketches of the new world captains and names that follow them. These are sketches, so I dont know if the names can be considered canon. A sketch is a sketch, why didnt it appear earlier, but I would consider it canon, but I dont know about everyone. I would consider them canons the names that appear in pages 360 to 363 (they are written by the editors) but the one 359 are written by oda and are a sketch. There is a full size sketch of them, with the name written by editors for them so yeah they are all probably canon. But I dont remember a about 5 of them appearing in the manga. But they probably all appeared.

But we have names for ALL 43 NW captains, not just the those mentioned by Greg.
The ones Greg mentioned were already revealed by the anime in the past episodes' credits with the exception of Andre.
So Hetki, translating the names for all of them would be helpful.

With Sengoku, a human being, has a hito hito zoan... Is he enlightened now as Oda once said will happen if a human would eat the hito hito no mi of Chopper

His fruit is a mythical zoan type , a buddha statue zoan .
I think that only fully relates with Chopper's fruit , aka how useless it would realy be to a human user (at least that's how I interpretate it myself) .

You're talking about ranking of strength and trying to compare it to early ideas Oda had in mind as far as match-ups that he did not go through with.

I am NOT an expert on the English spellings of these characters, nor am I looking up each origin right now. That said I'll be doing them in romaji. Not because 'JAPANESE IS COOLER DERP' but because that way most people can read it AND look for origins of unconfirmed names.
My guesses are in parenthesis but they're probably wrong since if the Commanders are any indication, many are plays on real world locations and I'm nowhere NEAR an expert in the Japanese naming conventions for obscure European, African and Asian countries.
