Thanks to Greg and Ulrilra for everything, you guys rock.
Databook: "One Piece Green"

-
Thanks to these U- and G-men for their hard, dedicated work.
-
Okay folks. Doing these captains from right to left. In the post above on this same page I see that page 361 is missing. If someone tracks it down, I'll do that one as well.
KEEP IN MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am NOT an expert on the English spellings of these characters, nor am I looking up each origin right now. That said I'll be doing them in romaji. Not because 'JAPANESE IS COOLER DERP' but because that way most people can read it AND look for origins of unconfirmed names.
My guesses are in parenthesis but they're probably wrong since if the Commanders are any indication, many are plays on real world locations and I'm nowhere NEAR an expert in the Japanese naming conventions for obscure European, African and Asian countries.

Nainzu (Nines)
Agushirii (Agshilly)

'Raikyou' Makugai (McGuy 'The Lightning Count')

'Yuukishi' Dooma (You know him too right?)

Squardo/Squad/we (everyone knows him so fuck it)

Epoida (Epoida)
Korusukon (Colskon)
Fooryuubusu (Foryuubusu)*****
Paamusu (Pahmoos)
Nosugaaru (Nosgar)
Burokka (Blocka)
Vuittan (Vitan)*REALLY tough call on this. It seems like he named the character 'For You Ugly' so difficult to say whether we should translocalize it or leave as is.
What about something like Foryuuves? And I think Blocker is a good one for Blocka. I only know how to read a liitle hirgana and katakana, so don't expect much from me xD. Also, I don't think Ulrira has seen my post from a few hours ago, so I'll just repeit it here as this one post might be actually read xD. May I post the databook on my website? It's the one on my sg]ign. Of course, with all the credits to you.
-
Thank you for your work guys !
-
What about something like Foryuuves?
The name is totally up in the air. It's anyone's guess UNLESS it's based on a location. I have a good idea for a translozalization but I'm not going to offer it because it's too touchy.
And I think Blocker is a good one for Blocka.
It's not a long 'a' so an 'ar' 'ah' or 'er' ending wasn't intended.

I just saw yours, not the image itself xD. Then, indeed, Blocka is more acurrate.

I'd love to know what all the Coby and Helmeppo pages are saying, if anyone intends to translate that sometime :) I know it's nothing new but meh, I'm curious anyway XD;
-
@Zik:
There's plenty reason to think that.
You're talking about ranking of strength and trying to compare it to early ideas Oda had in mind as far as match-ups that he did not go through with.
So the reason to think that buleno was the weakest was because there was no reason but omg it was and early idea therefore he changed how strong he was. From what we've seen his idea's have been pretty much the same he just changed some appearances and got rid of some problematic issues.
Your logic is um a derp well he could have been the weakest. Then kaku could have been the weakest. hell sengoku could be fleet admiral and only be as strong as Coby. Wow it's fun to go off of nothing isn't it :ninja:.
-
just as a reminder, me and Greg are both gonna be on the One Piece Podcast this weekend and we're going to ream this book to shreds. there will be blood.
-
I'm sad… Oda made Margaret lose her fur and cat ears. T_T
-
I love Whitey Bay's original design. I didn't expect her to be a swordswoman.
-
Oh, nice job Ulrilra. You sure are reliable and kept your word. Great Job, please keep it up ^^
-
All right, here's the larger (530 mb, 3,000 px) version of the scans:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=68VISENCAlso, Al!naJames uploaded a mirror on her site to the 2,000 px version here: http://onepiece.ru/manga/Artbook/Green.rar
Hey, Ulrira, nice job, dude! Say, would you mind if I post this Databook on my One Piece website? It's the one in my sign. Of course I'd credit you for all the work. Please? -
Yep, yep. Go ahead and use them wherever you'd like. I forgot to mention, but all my scans are always 100% free to use by anyone, anywhere for any purpose. I don't care whether you credit me for it or even if you credit yourself for it (if you're ballsy enough). I just like seeing the scans widely used.
-
Brilliant…Brilliant. ^^
I hope you do Color Walk 5 too when it comes out.
-
Oh, guys another bit. They brought up twice in the book that the Emerald City mentioned by Bellamy "might actually exist".
Thank you Ulrilra.
3 hours!? Do you have a scanner the size of a flatbed truck or is it just fast as hell?
-
oi oi, translations please? :D
-
What chapter was it in the manga where Bellamy mentioned that?

Translations of what?
Chinese
Babel: English forum pear is very big. . This is in the fable green this
You're welcome?
What chapter was it in the manga where Bellamy mentioned that?
Don't know number off hand but it was when everyone was laughing at Zoro, Luffy and Nami in the bar.
-
those pics with japanese letters, like the wb
s page, and the one with dragon
s ship -
This was really great to see and totally made my day. Thanks so much for taking the time to scan and post this for everyone.
With the animal cover pages, I wish they had put in what chapter it was from, in case you wanted to go back and look at the bigger version again. Oh well.
What chapter was it in the manga where Bellamy mentioned that?
Chapter 224
-
those pics with japanese letters, like the wb
s page, and the one with dragon
s shipIf they were worth translating I would have long ago.
Most of them read like this:
'Whitebeard! The Strongest Man in the World! He came to Marine Ford for the great battle to defend his 'son' Ace! But even with all his forces, sadly Ace perished in the aftermath. But Whitebeard's pride helped him save the rest of his crew!'
Gripping.
-
Don't know number off hand but it was when everyone was laughing at Zoro, Luffy and Nami in the bar.
It was the chapter after Teach was introduced, so 224.
-
Maybe Margaret will eat this Devil Fruit later in the series?
I hope so. -
oh! i thought those were some cool info, thanks tho.
-
Oh, guys another bit. They brought up twice in the book that the Emerald City mentioned by Bellamy "might actually exist"
I always knew..:ninja::ninja:
Why ?
because i have lerned that every Info that Oda put on OP, IS important -
I always thought it strange for Bellamy to mention something that while the English-speaking world would be quick to use in such scenarios describing 'the fantastic' isn't exactly the first thing that would come to mind for Japanese individuals.
-
Brilliant…Brilliant. ^^
I hope you do Color Walk 5 too when it comes out.
That is the plan. I should have it in December and I believe I'll be working with Al!naJames to speed up the spread cleaning/joining process.
3 hours!? Do you have a scanner the size of a flatbed truck or is it just fast as hell?
No, it's normal sized, so I do one page at a time. And it's not particularly slow, but I've scanned other data books with a slow scanner and still gotten them done in under 5 hours. If you scan continuously, hitting "Scan" immediately after it's finished with one page and then putting in/flipping over to the next page in the few seconds it takes to recalibrate (and before it gets out of "next scan" mode), your speed is maximized. I was getting about 120 pages done an hour that way. If you just keep doing it without stopping, you'll fall into a sort of a trance after a while and the time will fly by…

You're a machine. Respect.

Great, As long as your in command I don't really mind. I trust you more with scan release.
wait…do you take breaks when you scan the pages? you must have honed your page flipping skills like flipping pancakes blindfolded. Amazing, are you sure you're not a cyborg from the future?...

**Lol, I just got an image of my head of Ulrilra flipping pancakes blindfolded as training for this. And it wont go away.
Anyways, thanks to both Ulrilra and Greg.**

That sounds like just about every job I've ever done.
-
Soo… I got a question. Is that a sketch of Franky in a tiger suit just like what we saw before the time skip? Looking at the bigger size scans it looks like it can change to different forms. Was this ever mentioned in that page?
OH... I would also like to mention that Gatherine  is BEAUTIFUL!!!
-
Can someone post Don Krieg 9000? I really want to see that.
-
Many thanks to Greg, Ulrilra, and all others who helped get the databook info out!
-
-
have the 80 secrets been revealed yet?
-
YEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!
Thanks, man.
No.7? I guess that's the 6th time Krieg rebuilt himself? Or is that No. 1, Krieg hyping his ego. I really want that to happen.
-
I just now noticed George Mach and Mountain Ricky in that scan with Oars and the animal Straw Hats. How nostalgic.
-
have the 80 secrets been revealed yet?
Yeah. None of them were actually secrets. It was mostly, "Hey look at this interesting detail!" but we already knew all of them.
Some were nice reminders of easy to forget facts, but I mentioned any/all of them in my original post.
-
Hey Greg about the 10 crew members it mentioned. You put it in red bold caps but were you saying 10 isn't the limit will get ? Or 10 in total? And the bit about the 9th being from the New World.
-
10 may NOT be the limit.
Now how you take that number depends on a few things.
Do you believe BB's crew will increase?
Do you believe Luffy's crew will DEFINITELY fight them one-on-one?
Depending on your answers, you probably see it differently.
-
This book is Amazing…
Thank you Ulrilra! Thank you so much for scanning this for us! I can't afford to order this and OP60 yet, so its wonderful to have scans for now!And of course, thanks to Greg for floating us all that info before we got scans for everyone, as well as translating for everyone who needs it.
This book is just so awesome though, I'm loving flipping through it. It appears as though Oda has his own "Saga" Definitions too that are outside what most places designate them. According to Green, it goes:
Episode 1 - 冒険の夜明け - The Dawn of Adventure - 1-95
Episode 2 - GRAND LINEへの挑戦 - The Challenges of the Grand Line - 96 - 216
Episode 3 - 天空の黄金卿 - The Golden Lord of Heaven - 217 - 318
Episode 4 - 麦わらの一味対世界政府 - The Straw Hat Crew vs. The World Government - 319 - 441
Episode 5 - ゴースト島「アイランド」の冒険 - The Adventure on Ghost Island - 442 - 513
Episode 6 - 進入! 大監獄!! - Break In! The Great Prison!! - 514 - 549
Episode 7 - 史上最大の決戦 - The Great Battle on the Summit - 550 - 597It's interesting because it lists the Davy Back Fight as being part of the same arc as Skypiea. According to this, the "Straw Hat Crew Vs The World Gov." Saga doesn't start until the chapter Aokiji appears. (319)
-
Be careful though. It's likely Oda didn't break it up like that himself.
And I already found one major error.
-

Yeah you used derp in a response to me so everything you said became irrelevant.

You're welcome?
I think he/she is saying that he/she is new to this forum and is excited about OP Databook Green. I'm not sure about the "pear" part. A name? Sounds like a girl's name, actually.
Awesome job, Ulrilra.

Ooooh, Error? What error?

Could you remind me what was the Reverie? Or better yet, tell me the page number and let me find out.
