@Don:
My predictions are:
Roma v Shakhtar Donetsk (I rly like Donetsk and they play a real good soccer so far..they would definitely deserve the next round)
AC Milan v Tottenham (50\50 , but i think Tottenham will be more clever in the end and use their chance to defeat Milan)
Valencia v Schalke (rly close one and here i have to hope for the german team)
Inter Milan v Bayern Munich (because Inter is not nearly as strong as it was last year.Bayern will have again Robben ,Ribery which will boost them up)
Lyon v Real Madrid (Real with that super-team has to defeat Lyon and show us some more in the next round.Everything else would be a shame..)
Arsenal v Barcelona (Classy game..Barca will have to fight but should be the winner in the end.)
Marseille v Manchester United (Marseille is a good team but ManU without making big mistakes should take here the victory)
Copenhagen v Chelsea (Copenhagen rly surprised me and i would love to see another miracle because they showed that they`re good this year.
But Chelsea is Chelsea and should be able to prove that they advance to the next round with the "leasiest" team againt them)
You more or less nailed it, with my only doubts being Milan and Roma.
Milan, while having aterribly aging team, have a very good attack. Too bad Ronaldinho is out of the question; he was SO good no that long ago. How much he screwed up…
As for Roma, I'd like Shakhtar passing to the next round, but Roma is far more experienced. I think they'll make it. With difficulties, but they'll make it.
I have no doubts with Barcelona; it would be such a surprise if Arsenal even proves to be a "decent" match; Last year, it was a slaughter. And it's a shame, I'm a 120% Barcelona supporter, but Arsenal is one of my favourite teams from the Premier league, alongside Manchester City.
And, finaly, RM will SADLY pass. Without even breaking a sweat. This year, only Barça can defeat Madrid. No other team in the whole world can do it. Damn Mourinho, how I hate that man. . .
