They went for Whisky peak thanks to king boy and vivi. Crocus told them they could only make the choice once.
Ah ok, thanks for that.

How so? Regarding them just bypassing Fishman Island. Shakky herself said they all come here (Sabaody Archipelago) to get to the New World. That's by going through Fishman Island.
Well, I think he meant that they can just pass through Fishman Island without stopping, this way their Log Pose won't be influenced by the island, and they can continue the journey through the natural course that the path they chose at the beginning of the Grand Line would lead them to, if the red line wasn't there to block their way.
About the Law pic was just showing him the hood exist like it's plausible to get maybe Idk. But yea… the other things might not want to be casually wearing paws and yea the sword....
@cooldud_21:
And not at the sword?
lol, uhm… idk.
I remember there being multiple entrances to the start of the Grand Line the Strawhat Crew were unwary of.
Are you sure you aren't confusing when Coby said they went through the Calm Belt using the Marine Battleship?
@AMS:
I do not know what the confusion is.
Because you didn't read the whole conversation. Robin says that Upper Yard– a "sky island"-- stole their log pose. Meaning while they were in the middle of the ocean, their log pose changed because of a stronger magnetic pull. Nami worries at both Thriller Bark and Saboady that the log pose will be stolen (rewritten). These three situations suggest it can change just because they are on or near a different island and lose their current course. The required time for it to reset to the NEXT island isn't even being discussed. I brought up Drum because it wasn't planned and should have rewritten their log, and then brought up Arabasta because it should have corrected their log; for both, I was just noting that I don't remember it being brought up in the manga.
@AMS:
They do not mention it on Arabasta because they were there for a few weeks.
I'm pretty sure they were only at Arabasta for five days, but what I really want to know is if they ever mentioned the required time for the log pose to reset on Arabasta.

I don't think it was brought up in the manga either. Either way, their log was rewritten immediately after leaving Alabasta by the galleon, so they're technically still off-course.
…that relates back to my comment earlier about Oda not really paying close enough attention to his own rule about the log pose. Robin clearly states that the log pose changed to Upper Yard because it had a closer or stronger magnetic pull, and yet landing ON Jaya didn't correct that. Likewise, passing by Fishman Island doesn't "steal" the log for those who are going along different paths to the New World. I don't recall Drum or Arabasta mentioning much about the pose either for that matter, despite both being unplanned islands, so to speak. (Ignoring the log pose and using an eternal pose).
I'll have to search through the scripts for the exact text, but I remember them mentioning at the end of the Drum Arc that the log pose had set, as well as an off-comment when Luffy woke up after beating Crocodile. As for Jaya, I remember Robin mentioning it took 3 days for the Log Pose to set on Jaya, so that they had to get to Upper Yard before then. It took them a day and a half to get up there, so they beat the time limit.

I just read through the last five chapters of Drum and I don't see anything, but I might have missed it somehow; I'll have to check Alabasta later. The rest I already mentioned on the other page, but thanks.

I guess I do not remember them saying that their pose was stolen, I just assumd that the log had always set to upperyard after Alabasta. The other two I do remember, but it was clear on both of them that her concerns were not valid because they were on a ship island not from the grandline, and one top of some wierd bubble trees.
The idea of the Log Poses being important for their course as well as survival has pretty much been skipped ever since Little Garden and the invention of Eternal Poses. Even now Oda is trying to cheat his way through this idea by giving them Vivre Cards!
I wonder if the Log Pose will hold much relevance in the future…
or the southbird^^
but i think he will also use the Log Pose in the NW.
Molokidan's explanation about why he left the word "marutabune" untranslated in his translation:
_"I would have named it as raft myself, but I figured that most of the bitchy OP fans would appreciate it more if I simply left it in the Japanese. Why leave it in the Japanese? Because the word 丸太船 refers to a canoe-type vessel, not at all like the kind of raft you see in the manga. Try image searching the word on Google if you don't believe me. Rafts in Japanese (especially the type of raft Blackbeard is riding on) are called いかだ. Try Google image searching that one as well. I suppose the easiest solution would be to simply call it a raft, but as I'm not exactly sure what type of vessel that really is, or what Blackbeard's crew has named it, I left it in Japanese."

Ah so I am bitchy… I guess he does have a point.
I wonder how he'd respond to his SanjiXmaleSH mistranslation…
In general, i'd recommend Aohige's spoiler translations over any MS translator's translation, but this time it's even more worth reading through Aobeard's trans, cause Molokidan failed quite hard here and there.

I think he was referring to the SHs more than random Supernovas like Urouge…
The Log Pose leads the course for the SHs in general, no doubt, but they are going on so many detours that it really doesn't...
Edit: (Not that i'd mind creativly triggered detours through means like the South Birds)

Molokidan answered about that too, I won't post the whole discussion (you can read it in the link I posted) but here is the most relevant part:
My post asking about it:
"[…]maybe the best translation would be: "What if Nami-san and Robin-chan get even more sexual bodies?"
Because this "But then what if they all got bodies even more sexual than Nnnami-san or Robin-chan?!" sounds like Sanji intends to make the male strawhat crew members look more sexual than Nami and Robin, which is disgusting, not to say that doesn't sound like the type of thing Sanji would say."
And his answer:
"About Sanji's line: are you sure that's correct? In the bubble right before it, he's talking about building up THEIR bodies (あいつら)with meals. The next sentence has no pronouns (to signal a new subject) so it'd be only natural that he's still talking about THEM (あいつら)and not suddenly himself."
Well, I don't know japanese to tell if his conclusion about the "THEM" thing is right, though I don't think it is, since Sanji talking about making the male SH be more sexy/sexual than Nami and Robin is a very unlikely thing to happen. So maybe Aohige or someone else here who knows japanese can explain it to us?

I dunno Japanese myself but, BIG LOL, why would Sanji of all people think about making the SH bodies more sexual than Nami's and Robin's while having a nosebleed imagining them? That doesn't even make the least bit of sense. Wow, molokidan, wow.

He didn't mention that he was talking about the SHs specifically. Besides, our points are quite different. Even though, technically, the SHs have been having these detours, the Log Pose should still be the crews' bestfriend, given the situation Urouge's crew is in.
And I know I didn't read the whole discussion, but how exactly are they "not in line"?

It is blatantly stated that he translated the original into this: "But then what if they all got bodies even more sexual than Nnnami-san or Robin-chan?!" Based on context, it is heavily implied (or no, it is actually stated) that it means this: sounds like Sanji intends to make the male strawhat crew members look more sexual than Nami and Robin. Based on what I know - and mind you, I am no expert when it comes to these stuff (I don't even know how to read/say/understand niponggo), we know that there is NO exact translation from language to language, and using plain logic, he should have followed your interpretation.

Man you can tell by reading molokidan's response's he really doesn't give 2 shits about one piece. Probably just taking his anger on the manga since its crushing all the other series. This makes sense if molokidan = bleachtard. I know I shouldn't be complaining since we are getting it for free and pretty dam fast english translations and my english isn't to good let alone even knowing Japanese being spanish descendant but still for some reason feel like sucker punching him for that reply he gave you.
Some of the corrections are so obvious too. This why I read the spoilers because aihoge's and cnet128's translation are so much better, they take into account the obvious one piece humor and or personalities. Aihoge translated the Marutabune simply as Log raft was that so hard? It was obvious for him Shiliaw was making fun of his crappy boat. Molokidan didn't need to go in depth with the raft. The Sanji thing man I don't even want to go there, that's almost as bad as one Boney thing with pachy few chapters ago.
I don't know maybe I'm just overreacting but this is my favorite story want it to be shown how it's meant to be for new up coming fans and current ones. Well no matter how much he fails whether it's on purpose or by mistake he's not going to bring down how good the story is getting so far.
Oh, about the "Boney" + "introduction" + "Mermaid Princess" mistranslation, I noticed that Molokidan corrected his translation by himself, before anyone could complain about it, now the translation is like this:
7: I promised to introduce Boney to the Mermaid Princess!!
Source: http://mangahelpers.com/t/molokidan/releases/23599 - in the translation of page 14
That should count for something in his favor…
The sad part is that Mangastream never correct their releases, so the scanlation will stay with the original mistake...

I looked up molokidan's thread on mangahelpers, and saw that Bleach is one of his all-time favorites. I don't want to sound like an ungrateful bastard but I think I have to agree with you on this one.
Sadly, Bleach gets more attention than OP. People who firmly believe that Bleach > One Piece should just go die.

Yea someone mentioned this in the spoilers, at that time I went back and read it and noticed it myself then read cnet's translation. You can easily tell the difference between cnet's and molo's. Cnet made like 2 mistakes then they change him what the hell at least he takes into consideration common sense of one piece theme.
Mangastream only holds like what 4 of the latest chapters so the older ones get removed. Guess that's the only good thing we can get coming out of this…..

Yea but I rather have all those people who firmly believe that bleach > one piece stay with Bleach. Just shows how much they lack to notice such a great story. Probably avoid more dumbfounded comments in the Apforums without them.
Well, these mistranslations gives us all the more reason to trust Aohige/cnet128's accurate translations more than anything else.
Where does Cnet128 post his translations anyway? recently I only remember seeing Aohige here in the spoiler threads and what not…and bless his soul for that!

cnet128 doesn't post it on Apforums that's Aohige's territory >:), I go to mangahelpers to read his translations same site Molokadin's post his. Cnet128 is usually right under him, he hasn't translated 595 yet.
it still looks wearable outside of a cosplay convention
I made mine (the hoodie) for Sakura-Con earlier this year. I've worn it out a handful of times since then. Usually people ask me about the logo or if I made it, but really, it just looks like a regular hoodie. And I love it.
Mangastream only holds like what 4 of the latest chapters so the older ones get removed. Guess that's the only good thing we can get coming out of this…..
Oh, but the Mangastream's scanlations are posted in some of the online-reader sites (even though they don't have Mangastream's permission to do that), which means that their mistranslated scanlations are gonna stay available to the public even after they remove it from their site…
The other bad point about all this is that there is no scanlation group using Cnet's translation of OP nowadays, which leaves Sleepyfans' scanlation as the only option to Mangastream's scanlations, and nobody can say that Sakura's translation is some kind of improvement when compared to Molokidan's.
So anyone who begins to read OP now won't have a good option of scanlation to read, and probably also won't know where to find the best translations (Aohige, Stephen and Cnet's)...
@molokidan:
It could be raft, but until there is any visual confirmation, I'm leaving it in Japanese.
I meant visual confirmation about the raft's name.
bitchy OP fans
Raws + Aohige/cnet128's translations from now on, I guess. Level S translator my fuckin' ass.

Yes sleepyfan! If mangastream don't want to use cnet128's translation Sleepyfan is also another good one. As for sakura's translations never heard of her/him but I'm a guess that's a good thing for me reading your reaction.

Sakura is the Sleepyfans' translator, she also has a reputation for making bad translations… Though it has been some time since I last read any of the Sleepyfans' scanlations so I don't know if her translation skills have improved or not.

Oo wow, well I'll admit last year during the start of the marineford arc sleepyfans translation weren't doing so well (didn't know it was sakura). I stopped reading sakura's for a while usually just kept it on the side when I didn't like mangastreams. I wasn't reading aihoge's either, Aihoge's is recent for me and glad I found him especially now. But back on point well yea I'll agree sleepyfan/sakura isn't that good, I just wasn't aware of cnet128's and Aihoge at the time. Reason giving why I see Sakura's way better then molokidan's.

The best passing clue of Oda's this chapter is to me Drake's Haki Mihawk eyes. I'm thinking that Drake has developed a similar kind of awareness boosting haki, though probably to a lesser degree.
Ok seriously. Do you really believe what you have written?
What's up with the raising of eyebrows? :ninja:
Raises eyebrow
going nowhere. . .
these 2 posts are !
Just finished reading the chapter, very good stuff.
Blackbeard burning rubber when hearing Akainu was approaching is one of the funniest scenes in One Piece .
As others have stated, Blackbeard represents what a "true" pirate is.
It is obvious that Bonney is affiliated with the Marines somehow and I believe Blackbeard knows what the affiliation because it would just seem odd for a turncoat and wanted criminal to negotiate with the Marines, unless he had something extremely valuable to them.
I hope Bonney is related to someone high in the Marines or else she is headed to Impel Down.
Ups, I'm sorry, Sick_Fool, quoted the wrong post
Let me do that again

Lost its charm. Good luck next time.
But that would be an asshole move
I hope Bonney is related to someone high in the Marines or else she is headed to Impel Down.
hey, not a bad idea…
she could be with another VA orso the female counterpart to Luffy and Garp.
but this would mean that her relative in the marines would have selled her orso because she said she will never forget them..
most of the time this means cause they have done something bad to a person she loved, maybe her relative in the marine sold her sister\brother etc. to the WG^^
something in that line could be possible.
Of course not
Derp
Ah, but it is, for me at least
Bleach sells 1/3 of One Piece's volumes, Sponge.
There you go. OP wins.
as always
Yea I heard one piece is the top manga and anime in Japan but never really bothered to check that out. Wouldn't be surprised if it is though.
Oh, Aohige, since you are here can you comment about this answer Molokidan gave about subject in the sentence said by Sanji about using food to make people's body sexier?
