Exactly why Usopp's lies are coming true. In the end, he will have his beloved 8000 men. Chopper may or may not be among them.

Luffy had been asking for a musician since he recruited Zoro, but the early crew kept on pushing aside the argument. Then, they finally met Brook. So, it won't matter if they need the new member; it just means "the more, the merrier"… up to his 10 members.

Actually Arlong said that Fishmen were masters at gathering the data, he used Nami to apply it to the maps and charts. And just think of the symbolic value of Nami and the hypothetical Fishman Straw Hat working together in unity to get their stuff done.

Biggest problem with that is that the Flint Flint fruit (or whatever you wanna call it) won't grow for another 48 years.

Actually the biggest problem is Coby randomly quitting his dream just to join. He'll probably help Luffy down the line, but he won't join… Being a pirate conflicts with his dream of being a great marine. And in this manga, you don't go against the theme of dreams without being a bad guy.

On-Topic episode 599 was titled 9 Pirates does this mean only 1 more for the 10 as a hint from Oda - I know it was indicated that it was a "crew" of 10 and then Luffy as the Captain but the 9 Pirates thing makes me think only 1 left to join.

I said it plenty of times… Luffy said he wants 10 crewmembers... That would mean we need 2 new future nakamas BUT i assume that only one will join and the crew will be final... but we can't be sure till Luffy says, so now we are completed.

But here my reasons once again

BB's crew look final for me and the SHs only lack one person to match them in numbers-
If Luffy hasn't counted himself, than MAYBE Vivi will be counted, even if not sailingg with them. She is still recognized by Luffy as nakama and member of the crew
I assume that before entering the NW, at FI the last one will join. No matter if Jinbei or someone else.

Oda counts Luffy as crewmate #1, so that's a pretty good reasoning for the thought that there's only one more person to be found.

I think whether or not they find a crewmember on FI would depend on how long it takes to get there. If they leave in the next few chapters I'd have to say it would be too soon after the reunion.

If Vivi is counted and Carue is'nt that will be a serious slap in the face to his character.

Edit: I wouldn't mind anyone joining, I just think it's unlikely for now, that's it. Maybe in FI, but the crew hasn't got there yet so… I just think this whole fanfiction is kinda dumb. There are good theories, but people tend to grasp on the most random things as if they were facts.

Well Luffy originally said he wanted to have a crew of ten people before entering the grandline, there is always the possibility that this will be altered to before he enters the new world by getting the tenth member at FI before entering the new world as a joke of Oda's.

As far as I'm concerned, Vivi doesn't count. She never joined.

At best she can be considered an honorary member, and even then she doesn't count because she didn't get a number title page like "The Eighth".

(And before anyone asks, yes I am aware Chopper and Robin haven't received one yet either).

But she still is the only person, who is labled as nakama^^

And sorry… but this is just my thinking. I'm totally aware that 2 new nakamas are likely as well.

But for now, I stay to my position and say... 1 member and it will be done. And if I'm wrong, than it doesn't matter.

But we will see, what will happen after the next one has joined.

Still want to see, when Chopper and Robin will got their numbers... It's a bit strange... Both of them hasn't any number... And both joined right before or after Vivi. Vivi is somehow between them
