Actually, you're right…I did hear that here, in this thread, first…
...somewhere. I can't remember which page it was, though I'm pretty sure it was somewhere between pages 1 and 27...
People Luffy needs to beat up.
1.Blackbeard
2.Akainu
3.Kizaru
4.Kuma
5. Kid
6.Sentamarou
7.Pwngoat.
I don't think Luffy beats Kizaru, I don't know why.
Kuma will be Zoro's victim.
Why would he need to beat up Kuma?? He's saved/spared his life twice already. I think the real Kuma is still alive somewhere possibly reuniting w/ Dragon even. Just like Iva there is no way Kuma can let anything happen to Luffy.

Sure. In this thread.
But not from you.
The only person that has a shot in hell of doing anything to Kizaru is Blackbeard.

The real Kuma is no longer himself, he won't be helping the Strawhats again.
He is a metal Zoro can't cut, he will learn to cut that metal somehow. Why not just slice up Kuma?
@No:
A surprising lack of Kaidou and Doflamingo on that list
:ninja:
Is Luffy even directly aware of their existence?
Well he prety much disgraced Doflamingo with defeating Bellamy so easily and then he was the owner of the slave shop so…...it's bound to happen .
Plus he apears to be the strongest known "dreams are bullshit" person around .
good point…..I dont think he'll face Kaidou due to Oda not wanting Luffy to be a yonkou and due to the latest chapter and seeing Dadan is still in East Blue, I think it's safe to say that she isn't Bib Mom
Wait someone thought Dadan was ….Big Mom ?
O_O
From what i read they did…...
Comence laughing …..now !
:P
Oh come on it kinda fits…........
That's like saying Higuma survived Mr. 3 style and became a warlorld :P
Lola's mom is probably Big Momma (or whatever the name is) which means, if true, she's a potetial ally in the NW.

Oh what's this I see?:ninja:
HIGUMA = JINBEI
This chapter gives us yet ANOTHER reason to love this series and laugh at the….'competition'.
I mean come on folks.
Would you rather have, a massive, "I'b god by frends!"
or....well, you know http://shannaro.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/sasuke-crazy-face.jpg
That.
The man makes it look easy.
Best post I've read yet. I completely agree with you. Oda really knows how to pull in the reader emotionally. It's not overdone. It's not forced. In it's simplicity, it's purely beautiful story-telling.
They also said Dadan = Bonney. o.O
Hey, it made sense the day that the flashback started, their main minnion is very similar, and bonnie's powers would allow it.
Now only the main minion could be the conection.
Eh you getting it wrong? this chapter proves that theory is wrong because we have Garp currently talking to Dadan in East Blue. While Bonney probably somewhere in new world right now.
It MADE sense once, not anymore, but the guy still could be conected, even if dadan isn't.

Okay, this isn't really fair to Kishimoto. The thing with Oda is he hides from really big issues, like romance for example. I know he's trying to keep it in the teen-age boy range, but in so doing the themes the story deals with becomes narrow. I am in no place to criticize Oda or Kishimoto, but I'd like to point out that Kishimoto is putting a lot more on his plate than Oda is.

I can't say anything on the subject, but man I am so looking forward to the responses from this!
Only thing I can say is what Oda has decided to place in his story is anything but limited. After so long it should be obvious that One Piece does not need a true love story to feel complete or vast by any measure.

I didn't know romance was a bigger issue than government corruption, slavery, or piracy. :ninja:

I figured Franky would be the one to fight Kuma because of the cyborg connection.

Romance is probably the only thing not present in One piece. That is not even totally true, but he has never focused largely on romance in the book. And you know what it works, it works really well. Now I am not going to dog any of the other mangas out there because I do read and enjoy them, but in terms of quality and simply "getting it" no one can touch Oda. Every week One Piece leaves me wanting more, the others however fail to deliver anything so substantial.
Why do people think that there is tension between Luffy and Jinbei due to Arlong? Jinbei actually felt bad for the things Arlong had done but there has been no hint that Luffy even knows that Arlong use to serve under Jinbei.
Also, from my understanding of the "love sickness" was that it is only fatal when the Queen tries to deny her feelings. Boa Hancock has already accepted that she is in love with Luffy so it wouldn't matter if they were together or not, as long as she doesn't try to "deny" her feelings for him.
I am also in agreement with those who believe Luffy will learn to use Haki on his own, when he is forced to do so by encountering stronger enemies in the New World. However, I just think it would be weired if he didn't learn something about Haki on an island full of expert Haki users.

put aokigi at 4 instead of kuma

word up. i love what you said.
@I:
I think that's about right. In typical Oda fashion, the instances were very subtle at first, getting gradually stronger each time.
Here's my newish theory on Luffy's attitude/seemingly cluelessness about his own Haki ability. Comments and corrections are welcomed (snark not so much, lol)
It seems to me that Luffy, no matter what else you say about him, (and there's plenty to say I know), is usually very focused–you could even say obsessively focused---once he sets his mind on something. His crew has said it repeatedly--once he decides to do something he gonna go all out. Even outside of a battle/fight (like in ID when he ran into BB--he was momentarily, and understandably IMHO, distracted from his mission to save Ace--but let it be noted that not only was he quickly brought back to the task at hand, but he was distracted by something very much related to the task at hand, as well) I think he hyper focuses (we call it perseverating in Spec Ed circles, lol) on what he needs to do in order to accomplish what's in front of him (win this battle, usually) but it means stuff that seems unimportant may be ignored and even forgotten later on if it's not something he has to deal with directly in order to accomplish his goal. As was shown, in each instance of using Hakibition, he was very concerned/upset by something--the something lead to a huge burst of emotion, which lead to the Haki burst. Once the immediate danger is passed (the wolves passed out, the Gorgon sisters put Margaret down, the soldiers stopped the execution) he went on with the next phase (with, of course, the exception of the time with the wolves) still completely focused on the next task necessary to accomplish his ultimate goal. The more danger involved, the more focused he is, and the less likely he is to notice peripheral stuff, like passed out people who were fodder anyway. In other words--he simply doesn't notice the affects of his hakibition burst because it's, at that moment, relatively unimportant to him.
So–whaddaya think? Make sense? Have I missed anything or made illogical leaps here?
wow that all really makes complete sense. I really think your absolutely correct on this. great thinking my friend!

what you mean, Silvers Raleigh alone was enough to stop Kizaru from doing anything and I think Shanks or Ben Beckman is also enough to defeat Kizaru.
But it sure would be awesome to see a fight against Darkness and Light…

The SHs will reunite at chap 577!
I just realized there was no sign of Little Oars Jr at the funeral. I wonder if he was a casualty? I would think someone with a unique size and design such as him would be used later on. But at the same time what ever Oda wanted out of a guy like that probably completely served its purpose back in thriller bark.
It's because Moria isn't dead and he needs a proper zombie.
Oars Jr. doesn't have a grave because he is a zombie now.
moria is dead, get over it

you get weird things there^^

Zoro has to fight Kuma and Mihawk for sure^^
going against Kizaru..against an admiral.
mhh would be awesome for zoro, but that needs still a fucking lot of time till he should be able to do so.

Yeah i think Zoro will fight Kuma as well… But I really want to if Sanjiw ill ever fight a Shichibukai level opponent.
About admirals... I dunno if another SH besides Luffy will fight them. Akainu for sure is for Luffy. The other 2 I dunno

I'm quite sure that Zoro and Sanji will be able to fight an Admiral before the story ends. We've seen that Marco and Joz could fight on equal grounds with an Admiral before they screwed up. But what's more important is that we've seen an retired Rayleigh fighting on equal grounds with an Admiral. In his prime Rayleigh was most likely even stronger than that.
So if Luffy get's about as strong as Roger once was I don't see why Luffy's strongest crewmates shouldn't get as strong as Roger's were in their prime.

Yeah but I don't think we will have an arc where all 3 admirals at once will be facing the SHs. Dunno why.
And I always wanted Sanji to take on Don Flamingo.
About Kuma… I think about once again. Zoro could face him but maybe Luffy will face him as well. Think about it. He destroeyed his whole crew.
But maybe Kuma even will come back to his senses

That's another argument. My point was that with what we've seen so far it is not unlikely that Zoro and Sanji grow that strong.

I'm thinking about it and I always come to the same result that Kuma didn't destroy the crew but rather rescued them from such a fate.

What about Ao Kiji? He have sword too called Ice Saber. Hmm let's see… who else have sword in SH....... ah!, it's Ao Kiji vs Brooke then?

Aokiji is the guy with the Ice Sabre.
