@Dixxy:
This is what I would like to see but there was a lot of complaining last time they did it, and unless it gets announced at FuniCon tonight I'm doubtful we'll see it again. The first two days were all live action films (Shaw Brothers, RoboGeisha, and something else that's escaping me) and people weren't happy about it because they were waiting on anime title aquisitions. People were even unhappy with the FLCL rescue because it wasn't a new title, and even though that was when Funimation announced Hetalia there was still a sense of disappoint over the number of anime licenses acquired.
True. I do remember not liking it much but in reality it was a great way to publicize a lot of anime titles and help build the hype machine. Still seems like we won't be getting another New Years Roll Out seeing that nothing was mention so far.
@King:
Well here's a picture of an adorable Laboon plushie coming out next year.
I am so going to get that. It looks adorable!
so um, should we star panicking now?
same here, that's so ending up in my room :happy:
Nah. Too soon to panic.
@LUFFY#1:
Until Funimation shows us otherwise, I am inclined to believe they don't care anymore. From a fan point, I can see they are still releasing the dvd's and I need to continue buying them to ensure they continue coming out.
From their point, they need to actually give me updates other than there being a straw hat pizza opening up by their office. Like tell us how it is doing, plans for season 4, and no, advertising a new simulcast episode is good, but it is not what we want.
Chill dude! Come on. Just because they said nothing that you like at this thing doesn't mean they have totally forgotten about One Piece. I mean heck they went out of their way at the end of the FuniCon thing to take out a Chopper plushie and have Brinanna say something in the Chopper voice. If that isn't a sign that they care about One Piece then I don't know what is. Heck last week when they said they won't be doing simlucast and pushing them back to Monday and Wendesday due the holiday then came back to say that there will be One Piece this coming Saturday just to calm the worrying of One Piece fans (Heck, I was worry if there wasn't going to be a new episode before they said that.) They freakin show they care about One Piece all the time! It may not be their main focus at the moment and I am glad since they have other great shows like Hetalia, FMA: Brotherhood, DBZ:Kai, Eva, Black Butler and many more to help push out at the same time. You may not think that some of the shows I listed are great but there are a tons of fans that think that they are.
If anything remember this: One Piece fans gets the new episodes simulcast ONE HOUR after it airs in Japan while Hetalia fans have to wait ONE WEEK after it airs in Japan.
So what if S4V5 got push back to April. Kind of sad but oh well. I was a bit worry when they announce S3V5 to be less then a month after S3V4 but I am happier with this release date. Gives me time to watch S3V4, fits better to the norm that Funi has made for One Piece DVD releases, gives them MUCH more time to come up with a better DVD cover for S3V5 and I can at least say I got myself an early graduation gift. haha
