@YoiYoi:
Good lord…Isn't that what you've been doing the whole time?
...Whilst all I was saying is that we should wait for the conclusion to make such claims.
**How do you know the Dwarves could have been "Implemented elsewhere" ? How do you know they don't have a significant purpose in Dressrosa?
Aren't you the one waving those "absolute answers regarding potential future storylines" around…? Such hypocrisy.**
And I'm afraid no matter how you wish for it to be, your statement is still not "valid"… I already explained why a couple of times in this thread, and I don't plan on repeating myself until you finally gain the ability to grasp common knowledge.
Are you one the people that needs in my opinion written in every post as well online, because this is what you sound like. Is the so far not blatantly obvious for you, or do you need me to spell it all out for you? To me, they don't seem pivotal, and whether that changes or not is a different story considering that about 2/3rds of the story through the arc, this does not apply.
I have no idea why I have to explain this to you, it should be obvious, really elementary stuff.

@King:
But they will be vital to the storyline. Or did you think that the Dwarves being in conflict with the Donquixote Family for 900 years (the start of the Void Century) was just a random side fact?
Have you thought about why Oda made Usopp and Robin go to Green Bit? That wasn't a random choice. Usopp was needed to make the Dwarves allies and start the war because of his lying skills, but Robin hasn't done anything yet to justify her being there. That's where the eventual connection between the Dwarves and the true history will come in.
Yes, I am bit curious in regards DD, 900 years and potential time in the dark. That is a valid point, but I'd wait until the end of the arc to see just how it is connected together with the dwarves other than a presumed generic takeover. I am interested to see if Oda will spill some actual information this time around or just throw us a line or two as he does.
In regards to Ussop, I get where you are getting at but that plot point could have easily been "people in Dressrosa are incredibly naive and believe everything..". It doesn't exactly scream necessity, however depending how big the link between the dwarves and DD's lineage and whether it is not something generic where a some real information is brought to the story will depend on whether they were really needed here or not. So depending which angle Oda takes here and how much he reveals (ie. not some one-liner fact about the past).
