Well, I live in the UK and want to import hte 8th movie on blu-ray, but I can't find a site to confirm whether it's region free or not. If anyone can help it'd be most appreciated, thanks in advance! =3
One piece indonesian dub

I'm not sure about it being region-free, but I'm pretty sure it'll play on UK players too. I have a friend from the UK that imported it and I don't recall him ever saying anything about region issues.
-
I forgot to mention that I want to play on the PS3 which I've heard is region locked for blu rays, but a lot of blu-rays aren't region locked anyway.
Plus I know you can buy multi region blu-ray players so maybe your frinend owns one of them.

Damn! =(. That's a shame. Oh well, there's a lack of One Piece DVDs/Blu-Rays over here that someone should really fill the void with!
Anyway, thanks for the help guys!

I bought it, and (I mean I'd seen the movie dub before, but in UK we get hardly any OP merch, or a dub etc,
so I just wanted it for sentimental/fan collection reasons) Here's a pic ( no reason, just wanted to post a pic) :It's NTSC, Region One. However, you can play it with VLC by changing some settings, I forget how, try googling it (like how to play Region DVDs in VLC, etc.)
[This, I'm sure would also go for the Japanese version, if that was what you were referring to in your original post] -
He's asking about the Blu-Ray though. FUNi's DBZK release is region A and region B, so it can be played in (most) European countries. It should also be mentioned that every site said that it was region A only.

Everybody tuned in to see Bon Kurei's last stand.

If they're this high now, the ratings are going to skyrocket later on when the War starts
-
Damn, the war is going to be a ratings giant.
What's Dargon Ball Kai?

What's Dargon Ball Kai?
It's a Dragon Ball/Bleach crossover where you have to say "Bankai" in order to activate the Dragon Balls in order to make a wish. :ninja:

What's Dargon Ball Kai?
Kai is a rebranding and rebrodcast of Dragon Ball Z in HD Widescreen and re-recorded audio with the plot that only focuses on what happen in the manga.
Basically Toei re-re-released Dragonball Z without what the haters hate.
-
wow..is this true? or ur jus playin
Resists posting facepalm pictures…
He spelt 'Dragon Ball Kai' wrong is all.
It's a HD remaster of Dragon Ball Z. -
If only it wasn't in a morning slot>< It could possibly be breaking 20>

I know that ~12-14% is a lot and all, but ~12-14% of what are we talking about here exactly? 13% of people in Japan? 13% of people who's tv is turned on at that moment? What exactly are we talking about?

Hey, this question has been bugging me for a while. When the 4Kids version of One Piece was airing in Australia, I recall watching an episode with a lighthouse being knocked down and a pocket dimension thing, with lots of treasure and some kids locking up an old guy.
It's really weird because it isn't in the manga, but I was sure it was One Piece. I have never payed much attention to the anime (I'm more of a manga fan), but I just heard about 'fillers'. Was this a filler? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It was fairly early on the the series, I think. -
That was the Rainbow Mist Arc which was indeed filler, a shitty shitty filler arc.
-
The wonderful world of filler.

Thankyou! I thought I was crazy or something.

How was the Rainbow Mist shitty? I thought it was pretty good for a filler arc. One of the best, actually.

because they made the strawhats look insanely weak in it. like even weaker than when we first met the strawhats. fodder characters were giving them a hard time in fights. it was rediculous

I don't know about the last episode, but One Piece have managed to hold the 2nd position for 4 episodes in a row. Which have never happened before.
Guess what, OP did it again
22.7%(19.1%) 05/16 (Sun) *6:30pm-*7:00pm Fuji TV Sazae-san
13.9%(12.5%) 05/16 (Sun) *9:30am-10:00am Fuji TV One Piece
13.5%(10.9%) 05/16 (Sun) *6:00pm-*6:30pm Fuji TV Chibi Maruko-chan
11.9%(10.7%) 05/16 (Sun) 9:00am-9:30am Fuji TV Dragon Ball Kai
13% of people who's tv is turned on at that moment?
That would be terribly inaccurate, not to mention that late night animes would get super high ratings. Hard to think there's much people other than otakus watching tv at 04:00 am.
-
One Piece is always getting the highest something. I'm not surprised.

which one is usually number 1?
-
I don't mind filler at all, actually i welcome it. It's a complete change of pace, which is welcome, and it introduces a brand new story, which i also welcome.
The only filler so far which has really sucked was the Goat Island arc, every other has been good.
-
I actually enjoyed Rainbow Mist for Two reasons
1: The Time Travel plot was kinda neat, the ending was pretty unexpected too, and I liked that.
2: In the Japanese version, Whetton was played by Jouji Nakata. -
Sazae-san always is.
-

Hahaa, Nice.
Maruko-chan should stay in the 3rd position.

Okay, who deleted my post? As I was saying, that by the time they reach Ace's death, I bet it'll be higher then that
It was deleted because you are spoilering anime only viewers…

For those who read the manga:
! By the time they reach to Ace's death, the rating will be higer then that

If the Cp9 cover story is made into filler i will cry for joy. It would end many arguments over their fate, and would be HILARIOUS.
-
because they made the strawhats look insanely weak in it. like even weaker than when we first met the strawhats. fodder characters were giving them a hard time in fights. it was rediculous
It would not be much fun if fillers choose to one shot weaker villians. The main point really is to get the story across and showcase the quirks of enemies.
I'm not defending fillers by any means, but I find quite annoying when people bring up strength levels in non-canon storylines.
-
The recent Movie 10 fillers. Turned out to be a wash because it turned out to be barely connected to Movie 10, brought out the worst of One Piece filler formula, and just didn't live up to expectations. The final episode was fairly decent though, I thought.
I agree with this . Longo was patheticly useless and when he finaly does a move he instantly runs out of bullets . Maybe you should have done that before instead of randomly firing at shit .
Longo's power was interesting but there was no plot and the mexican pirate guys were defeated by fodder throwing rocks at them . Very small rocks .
As for the question in the OP : watch the last two episodes the fight against the Don is good . Even if it makes little sense and is contradicted early into the arc .
@Super-Franky:
Am I really the one who likes the Warship Island/Apis arc? The first time around, I didn't care for it and thought it made no sense, but after re-watching it on DVD, I actually enjoy it. And about Ice Hunters… It's standard filler. Not bad, not great. Here's how I'd rank the filler arcs:
1.G8-Almost as good as canon.
2.Ocean's Dream-Short, sweet, and to the point.
3.Spa Island-Don't have much to say, except I liked it and it had fanservice.:P
4.Warship Island-Not bad at all. Only real problem was the timing.
5.Ice Hunters-Nothing special, aside from Don Achino and his DF powers.
6.Post-Alabasta/Rainbow Mist/Goat Sex-…Seriously?
7.Amigo Pirates-Awful, awful, awful shit. The only filler arc I couldn't finish.I liked it to . I found Nelson's insane design to match the absurd shit going on plus Junpei Takiguchi is Junpei Takiguchi . You know , Uranai Baba from DB .
Post Alabasta was crap that made stuff up (Chopper's episode, to a decree Zoro's) etc.
I did like Rainbow Mist and Goat Island . The first because I liked the ending and the second because of Moor even if he did shit .
-
But Movie 10 Fillers? Screw that noise.
The only thing I liked from that was Nami's fan club with the statue, the rest can go screw itself.
-
What happen… in this episode?
-
this just proves that one piece is the best
-
i hated the ice hunter filler.. this is the only filler i didn't like..
-
But…how could anyone possibly hate the Magnetic Love Bazooka?! Inconceivable!
