@Deicide:
Wow… just wow. That's the dumbest thing ever written by you. EPic fail right there.
Fine, since you can't figure out the big picture, I'll put it down again.
Chapter one: I wanna be a Pirate King and ONE DAY I will be one with a crew better than yours and ME better than YOU!!1!11!11
Chapter end: I'm Pirate King and my crew is BETTER THAN YOURS like I promised… hahahahahahahahah!!!?/1!!1
Do you FAIL like a fucking brick to compute the story's STATED plot, FUCK!!!!!!1
Those arcs formed the most plot-heavy saga ever since the beginning of the story. They were game changers that were being foreshadowed ever since Luffy stepped into the Grand Line.
Who cares… They aren't part of the main plot.
Refer to CHAPTER ONE for your plot synopsis not chapter 238 where WB is shown... Or where BB attacks Drum.
I'm sorry, but I now am convinced that you are not reading the same story as me and many others on these forums.
The fact that you can't read CHAPTER ONE means that you opted out of English class, right?
Like what? Who the hell would care about putting Perona in danger? I'm pretty sure that her 10 years in Thriller Bark mean she probably has a village in need of saving or she's being hunted by the government ever since she was a child, right?
It doesn't MATTER, the point is that FUCKING LUFFY can get closer to Raftel… She would help him move in that direction, like Vivi helped him move "towards" that direction, not a year shitting kittens on Little Garden...
God damn, read chapter one for fuck's sake.
@Megadoomer:
As I've said on One Manga's forums - where the hell are you getting this terrible logic? It's like saying that you refuse to associate with any family members ever again because they, like you, were present when one of your family died.
It is my personal opinion, I don't want to expand, but I feel that this may be vaguely prominent if you saw someone like that.
We do have an idea that Luffy is a special kind when he goes insane. I get this from Samurai X, since he remembered something in someone, you know… That's why, he gave up on living cause of Kaoru being "killed" and went all emo. Serious emo by the way.
Also, I'd like actual proof that Perona is something other than a spoiled brat (and no, "she wants to have fun" does not count - everyone's idea of fun can be different, especially how vaguely it was worded, and she seemed to enjoy working for Moria and paralyzing people to have them turned into zombies. I'd like actual content from the manga, stated or shown outright, that proves that she is a good person who will fit in with the Straw Hat crew, and not things that have to be taken completely out of context in order to be useable).
It wasn't explained. Oda said "fun" and that's something he never went out of his way to explain. I can't explain it, it's just not in the dictionary, nope.
As far as her characterization goes, I am working on that… It's on the link in my signature, though.
Seriously, it's like the whole "Hey guys! Ace will be revived! It's all totally obvious, all the evidence is there, and Oda's clearly not going to kill off a character! It will negate most of the impact of the past few arcs, but who cares?" thing, but times a thousand.
Hey, don't mock me on that… I hope you read the Ace revival stuff, that was actually pretty much able to happen, if Oda went that way.
This, however, is different since this has a significance to offer, and Ace being revived was just more practical, less significant.
Zik,

The Okamas being on the marine ship is a good reason why time isn't a factor for Buggy crossing paths or being at SA the same time the SHs reunite. It'll be a coincidence. I don't see Oda passing up Buggy reuniting with his crew at SA the same time Luffy does with his crew or Buggy and Luffy being at SA the same time. Ofcourse he could just show Buggy with his crew in the NW with Shanks or some other scenario but regardless of this time point you can't get over Oda could do that. Just like in your Perona theory he "can" do a lot of other things.
I can only politely disagree, since I feel that Oda has more talent than what I've read on Bleach, Naruto and other shitty second hand manga.
I believe that Oda will never pull an Okama on the ship shit again, hopefully.
It won't project a fight. Especially on Buggy's part and even if it did and Zoro attacked first he couldn't harm Buggy and it'd only make Perona think Buggy is that great of a man for Zoro's attacks to be useless on him. Ergo, Perona becomes a loyal follower of Buggy and ditches Zoro(just one possible scenario for how she joins Buggy's crew).
Lol… Zoro wasn't around this whole arc, he may just attack for no reason. He did say "something" of Buggy's name when Rayleigh mentioned it, did he not?
No, I don't believe that Perona is that dense, again. I feel that she's not just looking for a super strong guy, just some stability. Otherwise, she'd have bailed or been in a completely different place. Or, "death" would have happened to her when Kuma sent her off. She wasn't troubled by it too much and survived with ease, therefore, she doesn't look for comfort in someone's power, more emotional feelings are involved.
Assuming that he heads straights to SA, doesn't stay with Shanks for a while, and doesn't find his old crew and ship first and gets there ahead of Luffy but happens to meet Zoro with Perona as long as he stays in the lawless areas(waiting for his ship to be coated) and doesn't go out attacking nobles he has nothing to worry about. Only threat on SA is fodder bounty hunters which all of Buggy's ID followers can surely handle so it doesn't matter what his bounty sky rockets too. Rayleigh no doubt has the highest bounty on SA and even when caught he hasn't managed to be found out.
Yeah, but we don't know how long it would take Zoro to reach SA. We don't even know how long it has been since he started trying to leave or anything.
We just know that two weeks is the minimum that it would take for Luffy to reach SA, if he does head to AL.
Zoro can take "three" weeks to get to SA also, so to speak… Buggy, would have to stay there for "two" weeks also, which is unlikely. He should be gone as swiftly as the Supernova. Or, he'd be following Shanks.
Only scenario I see Buggy being pursued and having to leave SA asap is in some group setting where it's Luffy's fault.
It's not really my desire at all. It just seems like a much more fitting To use your argument of coincidence and the Okamas again if Oda wants to do it he will. He can explain away the time Buggy should've already been there by saying he was with Shanks deciding his next move or off finding his old crew to be back on his ship.
The point I am making is that this is SO unlikely, just to have it happen this way.
Not without reason. There'd have to be a legitimate reason for why a character from Alabasta would be at Mariejoias and also a reason to explain why the crew would go there and that person end up joining or why that person would go to SA and end up joining.
You can't use the fact argument AGOG. This speculation is no different than your cause and effect nonsense just Perona ending up on a different crew than you desire.
The point is that mine is "more" reasonable and doesn't leave root to too many questions… It doesn't add more unknown situations that we don't have any control over, or anything given to make assumptions off of.
Unless they do happen at the same time because Oda wants them to.
Unless Oda bends time and space in the OP world to make it possible.
Same path, possible different time frame depending on what the characters choose to do before going to SA. I mean it is coincidence that all of the supernova ended up at SA at the same exact time despite the SHs being delayed a day in TB/FT and then a couple more hrs with the Camie rescue.
It won't. Oda isn't going to get fancy and start making Bankai fly from his ass, then start making Dragonballs reviving everyone or something similar.
He'll continue the "fair" pace he had before the okama pulled out of his ass.
Before that, the manga actually paced itself extremely well, but when you check that part it is so disappointing, … :getlost:
You should just realize the truth. They all met up at the same time cuz Oda wanted it to and it fit where he was going with the plot. If he wants to do the same with Buggy being there the same time Zoro and Perona are or when Buggy is there the same time the crew reunites for the plot he will.
However, he hasn't shown a "damn" definite reason to suggest such a thing happening.
There was never a single mention of "Perona" wanting a clown, or something related with Buggy.
The made up crap I was referring to was the nonsensical shit you were saying about Perona's personality a couple pages back in that spoiler tag about her being "strong willed, 'seemingly' humane character, etc." and all pseudo intellectual over analyzing of her clear cut character that you've been doing to revamp her image like Brittney Spears publicist.
But, when you read Steven's translation, it's not as bad as half the people in the world tend to make it out to be… It's actually a lot more "kiddy" and acceptable, or at least, similar to my interpretation.
You can't really say why Buggy can accidentally reunite with his crew the same as Luffy does with his at SA other than saying we don't know where they are when it's that exact reason Oda can magically make it happen.
I'm not making a bet. I speculated/made a prediction since I feel her character is better suited for the Buggy pirates. It's not some secret desire or some hidden agenda. It makes more sense to me that she'd join them rather than the SHs.
Just like we don't even know if she'll be with Zoro when he returns.
Yes, but we can make a guess that she's trying to get her belongings, so to speak… They are on the ship.
Buggy's got nothing that she may want, so what proof do you have to suggest something like that happening? :getlost:[/hide]
