Ace reminded me a bit of Marty McFly. Except that not he was called a chicken but his "pops". Anyways I'm not an Ace hater, I think his struggle during the war was okay too, but facepalm that the situation turns out as if everything what Luffy and Wb did were all in vain.
And you know what? I enjoy this whole thing. We (at least I) still can't be sure whether Ace survives or dies, Oda is doing a hell-of-a-good-job. Yeah, I complained when I saw the spoiler text earlier, but now with pics and everything I'm really glad that things turned out like this.
