I watched the episode and I found it was actually quite good, probably even the best in the Fall 2009 new shows schedule (though I haven't watched Community, Glee or that other comedy that I heard was good). I 'm for sure going to watch the whole thing because the beignning was quite strong, but I wonder how many seasons will it get (a know its kind of early but still) unless of course they will decide that other "visitors" will come to (or would they), though that is to much a clique, thats what I think

They were replaying all the old episodes on Syfy a day or two ago, I watched a bunch and the show wasn't too bad, they had the Beast Master. The remake will share a few things in common with the old show but it will also be very different.
I came into this show expecting nothing, especially after FlashForward was't able to keep me hooked after 3 episodes.
I can safely say that I will watch this series to the very end. I loved it. Elizabeth Mitchell is awesome as always (actually didn't know she was the lead in this show), characters are interesting, dialogue is well done etc. Only thing I don't like is the son. He seems like a generic teenager I've seen too much already.
Basically V is the EXACT OPPOSITE of FlashForward to me. Now I'm going to send hate mail to ABC for the mega break that is coming up that will pretty much kill this show. Seriously, 4 episodes and then a 3 to 4 month break? Seriously, ABC? SERIOUSLY?!
Oh, and for people who care about demos/viewers: V got a 5.0 demo/13.9 million viewers, making it the highest rated television premiere on any channel since Lost in 2004. Let's hope those people will return after the break.
When I saw that the main protagonist was yet another FBI agent, I groaned, but Elizabeth Mitchell did a great job with what was given to her.
That pilot was just crammed full and flew by in no time. Great in some ways, and it's nice to get the introductory stuff we all know already out of the way quickly, though there's the odd thing I would have left until maybe next week.

In a better note, the actress playing the stoic and yet beautiful leader Anna left a big impression on me, and i just found she was born in my city, heh.
Just to be sure I watched it again and something really doesnt fit right. Can't but my finger on it but I just didnt like it and cant really see what warranted a remake, let alone one with anti-Obama tones rather than anti-Nazi ones.
Watched the original miniseries again today and the pacing, acting and overall message just seems to be miles ahead of the remake.
If anyone hasn't seen it, it is an absoloute MUST. Even if you dont watch the series which came after, watch V and The Final Battle. It's aged surprisingly well.
Ill stick with the new one to see where it goes but so far it just seems like yet ANOTHER remake which didnt need to happen.

I thought they were quite fair considering they alluded to President Bush being an alien lizard just as much as they associated universal healthcare as a way to control people. Which, interestingly enough, seems to have done everything but unite people.
I was going to start this thread last night about this show, good thing you did. Show kicked off to a good start. And as for the one mentioning Glee, and Community - I love both! they are hilarious 
I haven't seen the original so I don't know how this fares compared to it but I thought that it was a good pilot…I just hated the son but whatever...typical teenage angst.
Community on the other hand is getting funnier and so is Glee....Now if only lost was on...
