Bon Kurei is even more badass when you realize his entire friendship with Luffy, and all the suffering, sacrifice, and determination he is going through…
is based on the fact that the strawhats saved him from drowning and then were amused by his face changing antics for... about 5 minutes. Based off that short little bit of time, they became buddies for life.
I'll repeat that. Dude has sacrificed and saved Luffy's ass twice now, bringing sure death to himself, TWICE, because Luffy laughed at a silly face Bon made and then did an impromptu chorus line kick.
Sure, he's since had 2 days to bond with Luffy at ID... but those were spent non stop fighting, and one of those was spent with him screaming out Luffy's name over and over, nonstop, for like 12 hours, for him to recover. And this was AFTER Bon trudged through the winter hell and fought off a pack of wolves with hs fists.
I don't think there's any other character in One Piece thats sacrificed quite so much in return for so little.

in spite ofdoubly so being an Okama.Dude is a effiing Strawhat, even if he never gets a chapter title making it official.

Question for everyone: Why on page 2 are they so close to ID, weren't they dropped off on the ship quite a ways off of the ID dock, towards the end of the chapter it is a Marine held ship that is close to ID though?
also on page 6 the ship suffers an explosion, then on page 7 there are no flames on the ship, but then on page 8 the flames reappear. Whats up am I looking at the images incorrectly?

Guys it said at the end that the Impel Down incident was yet to be over. So it is the possibility of Blackbeard and Shiryuu in ID. Now whatever Blackbeard has in stored it will more likely push this incident even further. Atm there is 241 escapees, there will be more. And guys we are talking about Oda here, he dont kill characters off like that. Remember Pell?

It wasn't just that
the reason Bon saved them at Alabasta was because they decided to wait for Vivi while being bombarded by marine ships instead of booking it out of there as fast as they could.
at least i think, I haven't read that part for a while

The translation isn't talking about impel down when its talking about "incident doesn't end there" its talking about the actual escaping group still having something left to do, and that is save Ace.
"This may have been the greatest disgrace Impel Down had ever suffered…... but this incident does not end there (as in the escape doesn't end at impel down, but continues on past it, its talking about the battle at Marineford as an incident yet to come)."
Also he doesn't have to die to still be as good as dead. He can be held up and form a new legion of newkama behind whoever the warden will be (whether its magellan or Hanyabal) and we can still say he had a happy, living ending but he won't appear in the story again hopefully for a long time. At least with Pell surviving his sacrifice still lives on in the strawhats hearts, they don't know he survived.

My idea for what will happen to Bon clay
Hannibal will come and tell to magellan that i have to take my revanche from this guy
all we remember what he's done to him
and then we'll have a possibility that he escapes
also we must be waiting for BB and shiryu to do their plan
and face magellan -
i don't think we may end up seeing much of blackbeard until he shows up at marineford. would make for a bigger entrance when he suddenly shows up with his new crewmates and probably a bunch of other pirates that want to kill whitebeards men and the marines. would be cool if next chapter showed whitebeard and dragon and what he is planning. hopefully luffy arrives at the other gate at the end of the next chapter. should probably take luffy 2 or 3 hours to arrive at marineford.

If they thought it was suicidal what Luffy did by trying to reach the bottom of 'hell' they will really freak out when Luffy stands to challenge what is essentially gods realm for Ace XD.

if that's the case then what will luffy and his friends do in that time? i don't think it will take luffy 3 hours to get into trouble at marineford. no way will the marines take that long to capture luffy either. my guess is that iva will make luffy wait until whitebeard makes his move so they can save ace while the marines are distracted.

at first i thought buggy and mr 3 would be forced into marineford but i'm not so sure now. i think when they arrive at the other gate jimbei will probably tell his whale friends to give them a ride to a point at marineford where they can enter without causing a big scene. the pirates who don't want to enter the war will probably end up leaving in the battleship. i still want mr 3 to create a giant wax ball for the pirates that want to go to marineford and have jimbei take them there underwater. although really hope buggy and mr 3 go to marineford.

He'll show up, start beating up fodder, and possibly Croc and Mr 1 follow off in a different direction (betrayal), while Jinbei stays on the ship to await Whitebeard.
Then he'll see an Admira/Shichibukai, and he'll get stunned, but suddenly, either Kuma or Whitebeard step in.
Actually, I'd love if he ran into Moria again, that would be a funny exchange,

luffy listened to everything iva told him. i think jimbei and iva will make it pretty damn clear that going in crazy won't do anything but make them fail miserably. luffy isn't stupid either he knows that the 3 admirals will be there and other very powerful guys. he got his ass kicked at the shabondy islands and he knows he can't take them on.
